WOW What a trip. Our guide Mario was Super. 😊
He was knowledgeable friendly and attentive. I wish all my guides were like Mario. It was a fantastic trip /tour. Would highly recommend. Thanks
David_H, Jul 2026
Mario was great. We are in our 70’s and do not move as fast as younger people. Mario took the time and explained everything. I highly recommend him.

The pick up was flawless. Our guide was the best of all of our excursions this trip. He was knowledgeable, clever, funny and most importantly, easy to understand. Trogir was a beautiful city and the highlights pointed out by our guide made us want to come back. Split was a great experience as well, despite or guide leaving us behind at the golden gate, we were easily able to rejoin the group with help of the company contacting him. He was able to return us to the ship so we didn’t have to make the long walk back

The Viator meeting instructions were excellent, and the guides were very easy to find at the port. Communication before the tour was clear and made for a stress-free start.
We visited Trogir first, followed by Split. Trogir is a pleasant town to explore, with narrow stone streets and a scenic waterfront. There had been wildfires on a nearby island the night before, but that did not impact our visit. The itinerary included about an hour of free time in Trogir, which felt like more than we needed. I would have preferred a shorter stop there and to have been dropped off a little closer to the cruise port on the return.
In Split, the guided walk through Diocletian's Palace (visiting all gates) provided a good overview of the history before free time to explore independently. It was interesting to see how the ancient Roman palace has become part of the modern city, with restaurants, shops, and homes integrated throughout the historic walls.
Our tour ended up with only two guests, so it felt like a private tour. Judita and Silvio were generous with their time, enjoyable to talk with, and happy to answer questions throughout the day without making the experience feel rushed.

Tour was good. Guide, Silvio, was very knowledgable, personable. The problem was that a bus on another group’s tour broke down. They our new bus and sent it to rescue the other tour they picked us up in an older bus with virtually no AC. When we reached Split, the bus left us and we were told to walk back to the ship. After the tour, Silvio volunteered his own vehicle to take us back to the ship. We were not happy with the way this operator handled the situation. Silvio saved the day.

Mario was a great guide. He was very flexible in showing us places and different things. The day was extremely hot (35°) which wasn’t helped by travelling in a minivan with broken air conditioning. Mario managed to change vehicles part way through the tour, but unfortunately it was a much smaller vehicle, meaning the last half of the tour was cramped.
I feel the company let Mario down, as he did an excellent job.

Silvio is a great guide. He is very knowledgeable and friendly. He is very interested in his country’s history and his enthusiasm makes his information interesting. We enjoyed our day.

Best Guide Ever! He had so much information to share. I think his name was Egore. Good pace to see as much as time allowed.

Fabulous tour and the guide was amazing. He was so knowledgeable and gave us lots of info on everything in such a way that it was interesting and not at all boring.

We traveled with 2 other couples to Trogir & Split. Our tour guide was very hospitalable in answering everyone's questions, providing a thorough tour overview, and having a driver take us in a Mercedes.

Thank you for your review! We’re glad to hear you enjoyed your tour to Trogir and Split and that the experience worked well for your group.
It’s great to know your guide was helpful in answering questions and providing a clear overview throughout the day, and that the transport made the journey comfortable.

Easy to find our tour guide Silvio as we walked out of the terminal. Delightful ride over to Trogir first and we beat the crowds and tour buses. Learning all the history and all that transpired there through the ages was totally fascinating.
Our second stop was at the Diocletian Palace in Split. Having a small group (4) we covered a lot. Will definitely book with Viator again.
Response from Host, May 2026
Thank you for your lovely review! We’re happy to hear everything went smoothly from the pickup at the terminal and that you enjoyed visiting Trogir before the larger crowds arrived.
Having smaller groups really does make the experience more relaxed and allows for a more personal tour, so we’re glad you appreciated that as well. It’s great to hear you enjoyed learning about the history of both Trogir and Diocletian’s Palace in Split.
Thank you again for joining us, and we hope to see you back in Croatia in the future!

Great tour for getting off the cruise ship. Guides spoke perfect English and new the history of Split and Trogir. At times hard to hear what the guide was saying due to the crowds of people but all in all good tour. Wear comfortable walking shoes and dress appropriately for the weather (it looked nice out but the wind was super cold on the day we went).
Response from Host, May 2026
Thank you for your review and for joining our tour! We’re glad to hear you enjoyed exploring Split and Trogir with our guides and that you found the tour a great option for cruise passengers.
During busy days in the old towns it can sometimes be challenging, but we always do our best to keep everyone together and engaged. Thanks as well for sharing the helpful tip about comfortable shoes and dressing for the weather!
We hope you enjoyed the rest of your cruise and your time in Croatia.

We were picked up at the pier by our cruise ship. The loved that we only had 7 in our group. I saw huge crowds loaded into tour buses for their group tour. Small group tour is the way to go. In spite of the rain, Silvio was able to keep us entertained with the history of these two unique cities. We had plenty of free time to explore on our own.
Response from Host, May 2026
Thank you for sharing your experience! We’re glad you enjoyed the small group tour and the more relaxed atmosphere compared to the larger bus groups. Even with the rain, it’s great to hear Silvio kept the tour interesting and enjoyable.
We’re also happy you had time to explore on your own along the way. Thank you again for the kind review, and we hope to welcome you back to Croatia in the future!

Nice small group activity. 8 people maximum.
Walking tour of both old towns. Tour is about 5 hours. Was dropped off at port.

This was one of the best tours I have ever taken. Our guide, Toni, was born in the area of Split, and was able to give us the "inside" story of the area from a local's viewpoint. The trip to Trogir was also very interesting to see how that city began as a castle then grew from that to the city that it is now. A wonderful trip that I would definitely recommend to anyone interested in that part of the world.
Response from Host, May 2026
Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We’re delighted to hear this was one of the best tours you’ve taken and that Toni’s local knowledge helped make the experience even more special.

Absolutely outstanding knowledge of the area and very personable. The small village of Trogir was enchanting, and the history and remains of Dilcletian’s palace in Split were amazing. We had a fantastic time!

Wonderful experience. Our guide, Tony, was amazing, so knowledgeable and helpful. Answered every question. He entertained us with personal childhood stories of the places we visited. It was very special.
Both Split and Trogir were beautiful and interesting places. There were 8 of us in a comfortable people carrier and the tour felt so personal. We would highly recommend this tour. So much better than the large coach party tours that are part of cruises and so much better value.
Response from Host, May 2026
