Our guide Petar was fantastic. He provided a clear view of the day in advance, created a WhatsApp group for all 36 passengers and tracked each of us very closely. Made sure everyone was on time. Very well planned stops and breaks.

Great tour. Mostar is very crowded as the main street is very narrow for the number of visitors, but we enjoyed it none the less. We ate at a restaurant in Mostar which was delicious, an extremely generous portion and very reasonably priced. The waterfalls afterwards were very beautiful. Long but satisfactory tour.

The Mostar and Herzegovina Tour with Kravica Waterfall from Split and Trogir was an incredible experience from start to finish! Our guide Petar was outstanding—friendly, informative, and kept everything running smoothly. Dale, our driver, handled the long journey with ease and professionalism. Once we crossed the Bosnian border (which went very smoothly), we explored the charming village of Počitelj before heading into Mostar. Philip, our local walking guide in Mostar, gave a fascinating tour full of history, culture, and local insights. We strolled through the Bazar Kujundziluk, admired the views from the Koski-Mehmed Pasha Mosque, and watched a daredevil leap from the iconic Old Bridge into the Neretva River—a highlight! We had fun trying traditional Balkan food like ćevapi (or ćevapčići)—so delicious! And sipping Bosnian coffee while soaking in the atmosphere made it even more memorable. Our final stop at Kravice Falls was a beautiful way to end the day, even though it was hot (apparently cooler than last week!). This 12-hour Greyline Tour was well-organized, full of stunning sights, and totally worth it. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Split or Trogir!

Amazing guide! Thank you for more time in Mostar. I am so so glad I took this tour! I also loved the waterfalls for some brief pictures.

Excellent Tour

Absolutely brilliant tour. The guide was wonderful and so were all the locations. Really recommended.

Great day trip out of Split!

YiTing_S, Sep 2025
We had such a great time with Petar, Angel, and Philip. They are such an amazing team! We’ve learned so much about Mostar, as well as the history of Bosnia and Herzegovina. At the start of our day, Petar gave us a very comprehensive breakdown of our day, was hilarious with his jokes, and took extra time to walk around and answer everyone’s questions on the bus ride back at the end of the day. Philip (I hope I didn’t spell his name wrong) gave us such a fun tour around Mostar. Sharing everything he knew with us. Definitely recommend this and hope everyone gets to meet Petar and experience his professionalism and wit!

Fantastic day

A very enjoyable full day exploring Bosnia Herzegovina, interesting stops and great to learn about another country.

Good experience, would recommend

Lyndsay_A, Sep 2025
It was a long day but enjoyed it. Our tour guide was really knowledgeable, friendly & witty - the only thing I would say is that he spoke very quickly & really had to concentrate as was sometimes hard to understand as he spoke so fast. I liked Mostar, the guide that walked us around was very good & told us lots of interesting knowledge & had a very nice meal. I really enjoyed the waterfalls, our tour guide was really friendly & even took time to take photos of everyone who wanted one. Would recommend

Excellent day with Ivanka and Angel

Excellent tour guide.

We had a wonderful time on this tour. Our tour guide was funny and knowledgeable and told us a lot of the history.

The three stops are all...

Jill_E, Sep 2025
The three stops are all very interesting and worth the trip. However, in my opinion, if raining, it should be cx or you should change the date of your trip. During, the first stop it Westin g really hard. A few people stayed on the bus. The co should have distributed cheap rain ponchos. You literally couldn’t walk as the streets were flooded and the stone sidewalks were very slippery. The tour guide was very nice and informative yet I didn’t find him very sympathetic to the horrible weather. By some miracle, the rain stopped by the time we reached Mostar. However the stone sidewalks were like black ice and I fell. Even with this drama, we still had a good time.

Response from Host, Sep 2025

Dear Guest, Thank you for sharing your impressions with us. Unfortunately, the weather is beyond our control, and we are sorry to hear it affected part of your experience. We’re glad, however, that you still enjoyed the tour overall and appreciated the guide’s efforts. Kind regards, Gray Line

A great variety of stops, highly recommend!

Kendra_N, Aug 2025
A wonderful itinerary with a nice mix of stops including Mostar and the waterfalls stop before heading home! Ivanka was a fantastic tour guide, we highly recommend booking this day trip if you’re short on time and want to get a sample of Herzegovina!

It is a long one day, but I am very pleased I did it!

Kristi_N, Jul 2025
This tour is good, but know that it will be a long day, and Mostar is crowded with lots of other tour buses. It is what it is. The first stop is really just a toilet and souvenir stand stop. You are not there for any sightseeing unless you plan ahead of time to know what to do/where to go (not much in the time allotted). Mostar is really nice, and our local guide was Maria was fantastic. The crowds were tricky, but we still had plenty of time to go thru the souvenir streets of the old town, cross the bridge, do the bridge museum, and have a fairly relaxed lunch at the tasty Šadrvan. I wish we had also had time for a drink at one of the riverside spots, but we had to get to the waterfalls. The bridge is a sight to see, and the people watching is half of it. Krawice was more tiny waterpark than beautiful waterfall stop, which was a little disappointing (we were unprepared), but we did our best to ignore the people and concentrate on natural falls. If you plan to swim, either wear your suit under your clothes all day or change in Mostar. You will spend too much time at the changing rooms at Krawice for the time you'll have there. There are a couple restaurants, there, too, so you can sit waterside and have an ice cream or drink. Have a 1 euro coin on you (per person) to ride the mini train back to the top. Waiting in the line will take a while, but it is nicer than walking back. It is a lot in one day, but I am very pleased I did it! My only other comment is that our original tickets said 20 people max in our bus. That was not true. We had around 50 in our bus. Disappointing on that point.

Ivanka, an amazingly enthusiastic guide!

Ryan_T, Jul 2025
Ivanka was amazing and enthusiastic at every turn of the trip! Really appreciated her positivity, which made the entire trip even more fun and genuinely local.

Mostar and Herzegovina Tour

RyanAlexis_C, Jul 2025
It was a full bus when we started the tour. A small group from Trogir joined us. All in all the tour went smoothly. Creating a WhatsApp group is actually a genius idea as it helps spread information throughout the group quickly. Dale and Peter did a really good job making sure the experience was a nice one. Peter was entertaining and informative at the same time. This tour is highly recommended. Tip: Mostar accepts Euros but prefers CASH over cards.

Worth it

Alice_B, Jul 2025
Brilliant trip - Tim and Anna Maria were absolutely amazing guides, and were very knowledgeable and fun to listen to. Health and safety was taken care of (with the extreme heat in Mostar). I would only suggest perhaps a little less time in Mostar, and a little more at the waterfalls. Border crossings easy. Oh, and make sure you have plenty of cash (euros are fine) as a lot of the places we visited didn't accept card.

Unforgettable Day in Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina!

Not my cup of tea

Kristin_B, Jun 2025
The tour guide was great but in my opinion the long drive was not worth the experience. Mostar tour was good with a great guide but so many tourist shops in the city it felt like a tourist trap. The waterfalls were over commercialized and overcrowded. Very hot and quick stop with lots of stairs. The bus could use a good cleaning. Overall, not my cup of tea.

A long Day not sure if it is worth it.

Karen_B, Jun 2025
This is a very long day. You have a wait at the borders (1.5hrs) and no toilet stop. We stop just after the border for 1/2hr at a very small village where you can have coffee and baklava, this was a pointless stop as Mostar is only 20 mins down road. Mostar, the local walking tour was good, (Phillip was excellent) just a little information and took about 45mins. Unfortunately you then only have 2.15hrs left for lunch and to look around. Kotara lovely and we were fortunate to see a local jump off the bridge. Unless you really really want to visit Mostar or you have time I would suggest that time would be better spent visiting other islands. You get 1 hour at Jrabica Wayerfalls for a swim, not nearly long enough as the walk down and back undies take 20 mins of the time. Our guide was good “Mia” however a bit disappointing at the end of the tour on way home so tired she “insisted” on us doing a review on TripAdvisor (no other platform), and walked up and down the bus and stood over people while they did it. She even woke my son up. Overall was a pleasant day.

Trip was a nice time. Mia...

Katherine_V, Jun 2025
Trip was a nice time. Mia was our tour guide within the bus but once we were in Herzegovina Phillip was our guide. Both were very informative and helpful. The ride was smooth drive thanks to the bus driver Dale. The village of Pocitlj could have been skipped there really isn’t much to do there but you can have coffee and baklava there. Mostar was very nice to see. The city is extremely hot so come prepared for that. It’s not in the description but make sure to bring a swimsuit so you can bathe at the waterfalls. Overall a very good trip.

The Road to Mostar

Besides the sites, religious and political dynamics from ancient to recent decades to now. Guide Bari was friendly, funny and fact-filled, very knowledgeable!

Long day but good stops and informative guides. The border crossing was fast, we did not have to exchange Euros for local currency.

Nicole_S, Jun 2025
Great place to visit and our guide was funny, patient, and all around good. However, the group is so large it is hard to enjoy the experience.

Excellent!

Rajashekar_P, May 2025
It was a very nice experience, Kravice watetfalls were beautiful. The drive in the big bus with fantastic views was made all the more interesting by our winderful guide Peter and we felt safe with Doolle's driving a nice man with a good smile fir every one. Peter entertained us, educated us, gave personal attention to every one. Our first stop in the Posetelij which was short but a good experience.

Easy and informative tour...

Scott_M, May 2025
Easy and informative tour - knowledgeable guides … just enough time in Mostar to explore the old town and have lunch

The good and the bad

Lillian_K, May 2025
Pros: boat ride in Mostar and swimming in the water fall. Cons: bus had no AC and was very outdated. A lot of driving time and not a lot of tour time. Tips: bring a phone charging bank/power bank, bring a swimsuit, bring lots of cash.

the waterfalls here are unimpress

Bonnie_B, May 2025
If you see Plitvice Park, the waterfalls are unimpressive. Add to the fact that only cash is accepted and it loses its charm. Paying to use bathrooms really makes this a place to miss. There are some positives but they're few. Much hotter there than Split so bring hat etc. Bring bathing suit if you wish to go swimming at the falls. This is something that Viator didn't mention.

Excellent tour!!!

Khiem_L, May 2025
Very long day, however, absolutely worth the experience! Barry was our guide and was very punctual, knowledgeable and had a great sense of humour. He kept us entertained for the commute to and from BIH. It was a short wait for us at the border and everything was well organised. I found the amount of time at the sites to be adequate, and met Sasha as our guide in Mostar who was also unbelievably knowledgeable and entertaining. Overall, it was a beautiful day trip and I would recommend it to everyone. It was kept on schedule and we started and finished on 12 hours.

A small taste of an intriguing country

Ariel_M, May 2025
The village of Počitelj was charming. I had enough time to enjoy a Bosnian coffee and buy pomegranate juice from one of the local women. My mother hiked up to a castle overlooking the village. In Mostar, our local guide was very knowledgeable and gave us plenty of time to see the Old bridge and walk over it. We then had about 2 hours of free time to eat and shop. We finished the tour by visiting the Kravica waterfall. We had some time to get a snack or swim in the river before leaving. Overall, the trip was beautiful and gave a small taste of an intriguing country. However, after having visited both Plitvice and Krka national parks the week before, we could have skipped the waterfall portion of the tour. We wish that more time was given in Mostar instead. There were several museums, a mosque, and a bell tower that someone could visit, but after sitting down for lunch and walking through the shopping area, there wasn’t any time to visit any of the other attractions. The trip was well-organized and thought-out and we thoroughly enjoyed it, but looking back, we wished we had booked a visit to Mostar only.

Mixed feelings, some improvements needed

lovanya_m, May 2025
The first village has nothing worth while seeing. It's a gimmick stop to try their "Bosnian coffee" but it's a wasted 40 minute trip since 25 minutes later in Mostar there are plenty of Bosnian coffee options at the cafes in the village. It seems that the tour companies are trying to inject some economic development into this town but frankly the cafe Stari Gard left much to be desired with their arrogant and slow service and there isnt anything to see there. Literally zero reason to stop unless someone is desperate for the loo. Its also cash only if you are interested in the coffee stop. They are simply not geared for tourism in my view. Mostert Village was a lovely stop. More time here would have been ideal since the restaurants were quite packed requiring customers to queue and then not much time to explore after or before lunch. There was another guide that picked up the tour in Mostert but it felt a bit rushed and incomplete. He didn't take us to the Mosque and just pointed it out and mostly showed us bridges. We wasted alot of time at the border control but that was no fault of the tour company at all - beyond their control. Just don't make dinner reservations because they delays are unpredictable. There is no WiFi on the bus contrary to what is advertised here so unless you're willing to incur exorbitant roaming fees you will need to sit without an Internet connection for an extremely long bus ride. I tried getting an explanation for this from the guide and pointed out what is stated on the Viator ticket but just got a snappy "no" like end of discussion. The bus gets quite cold because its air conditioned and they don't seem to turn up the temperature so carry a jacket. The waterfall was beautiful. Crowded area but worth a look. I didn't feel that the cost versus value ratio here was worth it for the 125 euro spent (remember that the 5 euro is for the border and the 10 euro is for the waterfall). If you don't want to drive there yourself then this is the the best thing you can do.
