It’s a long day but so worth it! The lakes are pristine and beautiful. Ivanka was a fabulous guide and the most helpful genuine person. Micky the driver had the best song playlist of any tour we have ever done. Great day.

Absolutely stunning park! The most beautiful blue/green water we’ve ever seen and waterfalls beyond belief! Our guide, Ivanka, was a fantastic host! She brought so much energy, knowledge, and caring for the group to ensure everyone enjoyed the experience!

We had a great time with the sites on this tour and the tour guide Mia did a fantastic job getting us from place to place and giving us information and history. In hindsight though, we wish we broke away from the tour group and instead went around the park ourselves, as we could have seen more without the rest stops, toilet stops, lunch stops and frequently waiting for the whole group to get together and catchup - this would have given us another hour to explore, rather than rushing through. The group (52 people) was also too large and crowded every space and viewpoint we went to, and many of the group members were pushy and cut-in when lining up. This meant the people who patiently waited missed out on photos as the group had to "move on". Recommending that people think about what works better for them prior and communicating with the tour guide, as they will help you with logistics.

The walk atop the boardwalk with waterfalls at every turn. Looking down at the cascades from the overlooks was amazing! Our guide, Barry, was joyful to be with and we can see how much he enjoys sharing the treasure that Croatia protects for the world.

The park is absolutely gorgeous and the guide was very knowledgeable. His knowledge added a great deal to our enjoyment of the park. His story about the viper snake and how she gives birth to her young really gave the group an added bonus to the walk while at the same time had everyone looking up.

Good tour with 3.5hr in the plivice national park

Plitvice national park is so breathtaking. A must see for anyone visiting Croatia. The tour set off at 7am with a couple of toilet stops on the way. We arrived plitvice before just before 11am at entrance 2. Three departure time is 2.30pm at entrance 1, giving us around 3.5hr in the park. We chose self guided tour instead of following the tour guide so that we have enough time to do the route we wanted. I would say that for average fit person 3.5hr should be enough to do both upper and lower lakes, despite the recommended time is 4-6hr. Although this means not much time to stop, rest and take photos. After that the bus drop everyone off at a restaurant for an hour. I chose not to have a meal there and just sat in the bus for an hour. I would rather those time to be spent at plitvice but this is part of the tour. If I would do it again, I probably will get the bus to plivice instead of following a tour. Overall I will recommend this tour for anyone who do not wish to arrange their own transport.

A long bus ride there & back, but the 3 hour guided walk around the falls & lakes was spectacular & at the same time soothing. Our guide Franco, was very informative & kept us all on track. A unique place & experience.

Excellent a tour with a super friendly and knowledgeable guide. It was interesting to see beyond the beautiful coast into the interior of Croatia. The bus ride is long but overall it was worth it if you have the time.

The park and waterfalls were breathtaking. Our guide (Barry) was funny and very informative. I was afraid I’d hate the bus ride, but it went by surprisingly quickly, our guide gave information about the countryside and we made some bathroom/food stops along the way. Which made the ride OK

The Plitvice Lakes were beautiful! Bus ride was easy with one minor stop on the way. I thought that being in a large group would be cumbersome walking around the park but there were a lot of people on the trails anyways so it didn’t matter. We were given instructions on what routes to take.

Barry was our guide and he was great! He had lots of information to share about Croatia and the parks. During the tour you spend a few hours at the park which is the right amount. There are pathways to get everywhere. Also numerous spots (bathrooms) to fill up waterbottles. Glad I went!

Great trip. Mia was a great tour guide. We originally looked for a self-guided tour, but the weather was looking bad so we stuck with tour group. Turned out amazing because we avoided lines and went to good spots the host knew, whilst not feeling like we were stuck in a group the whole time. Definitely recommend!

We took the "self tour" of the lakes. Please listen to the organiser in the morning. He gave very helpful suggestions on which direction to take within the park & it worked out perfect!!!!

Plitvice Lakes was beautiful, but there was not enough time on this tour to thoroughly enjoy. The ride from Split was 3h with a 20min stop each way. 4 hours was barely enough to ride the tram (a 1h wait) and ferry. Bus driver was at least half hour late (although there is a disclaimer on the ticket indicating that time is variable based on traffic) but didn't give us back the time on the back end. HIs instructions on meeting place were also very unclear. Most of us were waiting in the wrong spot.

Excellent Tour Guide and Choice of Trail

Our guide is Petar and Driver Tony. There about 10-15 in our group. The trail chosen for us was downstream so it is very easy to do for someone not fit. A lot of chance for photo sessions. Our guide was enthusiastic enough to even give a brief history and background of split and croatia and pointing out certain landmarks along the way. The trail makes you appreciate the clarity and purity of the water in the lakes. It is a series of river, lakes and falls not a single massive fall so it is better appreciated with a trek. We went to a local resto for lunch that serves spitroast suckling pig which is a bonus. Entrance fee and lunch excluded. But still all in all, Budget friendly.

Great way to see Plitivce!

This is a non-guided tour so we were able to walk around Plitivce at our own pace. Absolutely amazing scenery so well worth the long drive out. The only thing that could be improved is the instructions from the driver about where to meet when waiting to receive the actual park tickets and where to meet to get picked up at the end to return to Split.

Très belle excursion, fidèle à la description. Départ de l'agence de Split avec un guide qui est resté avec nous tout le long pour nous permettre une très belle visite d'environ 3h, puis, arrêt dans un restaurant à côté des lacs. Des paysages magnifiques. Visite à faire !
