We loved the tour to the Krka National Park with Vicko as our tour guide! He was funny and guided us well. I also liked that we had our freedom to walk around the National Park at our own pace. The waterfall was beautiful to look at! We enjoyed our day very much! 😃

It’s a small park but beautiful and serene! Tonka was a great tour guide! I would recommend this tour if you’d like to experience nature while staying in Split since it makes the perfect day trip.

Experience was fantastic. Would definitely recommend if doing a visit to split. We only had three days and used one of the days for it and I don’t regret it. The guide was great and really helpful. It’s not clear that entrance at the park needs to be paid in cash when you arrive so just a note that in the small print. It’s about €30 for adults. We actually have a swimming session at a town reachable by boat. I loved doing that it was so much fun. Had a great seafood at one of the restaurants too recommended by our guide.

Beautiful Waterfalls at Krka with a Town & Beach Stop

We enjoyed this excursion, with the main highlight being Krka National Park itself—the walk through the park and the waterfalls were great. The boat ride at the end was a nice, peaceful trip down the river to the drop-off city. While the river scenery might feel fairly standard if you are used to places like the Pacific Northwest, it is still a pleasant ride. Once you land, you have options: you can either explore the local town or head right to the adjacent beach for a swim. The town itself is small and low-key without a ton to do, but we enjoyed walking around and exploring it. Others in our group opted to go swimming at the beach, which looked like a great, popular option to cool off.

During the summer months it’s extremely hot so make sure you stay hydrated. It’s also very busy but fortunately during the month of June it was not as bad as I thought it would be

Our national park tour was excellent, thanks in large part to our knowledgeable guide, Josef. We really enjoyed learning about the historical significance of the water-powered mills, and the scenic walk through the paths offered incredible views of the waterfalls

Underwhelming for a seasoned traveler

I found this experience a little underwhelming. If you’ve traveled extensively and been to other places with national parks or big waterfalls, I would say that you can skip this experience. The tour guide was great and everything was organized, the Krka waterfalls and the little town visited afterward just weren’t worth 8 hours of time and $65 euro.

This tour was well organized with a great bus driver and a great guide who imparted lots of good information about Split, local points of interest along the way, and details for how our day would progress. When we arrived at the park, Stipe oriented us to the park and have us the choice of following his guided paths or venturing out on your own. For those who chose to go out on our own, he even made sure to catch up to us to show us a side path to a beautiful viewpoint we would have otherwise missed. All instructions were clear and reiterated a couple of times through a WhatsApp group he created for us. The boat ride was delightful and our time in Skraden was enjoyable. Krka itself was a beautiful park that felt like we were taking a walk in the woods and finding lovely waterfalls, streams, and wildlife along the way.

This picturesque tour involved lots of steps & changes in elevation. We loved it but we saw many people on the tour who struggled to walk it. The waterfalls & boat ride were amazing and our local tour guide was very knowledgeable about the history of Split.

If you like more of an independent feel with the tours this is the one for you. Jumped on a bus which was easy, guide and bus operator where fantastic, free time to explore was just enough! I’m a tour person and would much rather book them private because I don’t like to be herded like cattle.

Great value for a long trip

The trip was great. The bus was clean and punctual, our guide was fun and informative (Leo) amd Krka was BEAUTIFUL. Our tour started at 10am from Split and the heat was fine as the park had lots of dappled shade. It was too busy at the park, just remember to walk at the pace you want to, not get swept up with the marching pace of some visitors through the park. Remember bug spray, water and a few Euros to use the loos. Plus, a lot of the vendors for food and drink only take cash. We had to wait for the river boat and this meant less time at our final stop of Skradin which was a shame (no fault of the tour operator). I highly recommend taking a dip at the small beach. Much needed refresh!
