Unbelievable boat trip with the most amazing scenery. The skipper of the boat provides great insights into the history of Croatia and knows all of the special spots to visit on the islands.
We thoroughly enjoyed the trip and would recommend to anybody who is thinking about it!

Our day with our skipper Luka was simply perfect from beginning to end. From Vis, breakfast in Komiza, iconic swimming locations, beach bars, the bluest clear waters and a great selection of music on board. Just 12 on the boat was the perfect group size. The side by side seats under a canopy were why we booked this cruise. So many others did not have this style of seats and canopy. This day trip was the highlight of our visit to Split….book it! This was supposed to be such an epic excursion. We were only in Croatia for three days and booked this 5-island tour for our last day based on their strong reviews, only to be left stranded at our second stop with four other couples and no clear resolution.
Before I start, yes, we were given a full refund. However, we were left to figure out our own way back to Split, which was approximately an hour-and-a-half speedboat ride away.
We started the excursion and were on the water by 7 a.m. By around 10:00 a.m., our boat had broken down due to engine issues at the Blue Cave. Rather than having a proper contingency plan in place, we were essentially given the bare minimum instructions and told that someone would be in touch via WhatsApp with further details. It very much felt like an “it is what it is” type of situation.
The temporary solution was to squeeze us onto another skipper’s boat, which was already at its full seated capacity of 12 passengers. This left both my partner and I having to stand during the ride, which felt like a major safety concern. Once we arrived at the next stop, they randomly selected three couples to join another skipper who had available seating, leaving four couples behind with no transportation back to Split.
There was also no follow-up communication via WhatsApp after we were told someone would be in touch. I ultimately had to initiate the conversation myself to get any sort of response. If Viator allowed me to attach screenshots of the lengthy conversations I would. (We’ll try to do so on google)
We even approached another tour operator at the stop, explained our situation, and they were also in disbelief. Unfortunately, they couldn’t quote us anything under €600 for transportation directly back to Split.
Overall, I understand that this is a smaller company and mechanical issues can happen. However, there should absolutely be an emergency or backup plan in place when situations like this occur. What made this even more concerning was that one of the skippers mentioned having experienced an engine issue just the week before.
Sadly, based on one of the WhatsApp exchanges, the person responding seemed more concerned about preventing a negative review than addressing the fact that several paying guests had been left stranded without a clear solution.
I understand that unexpected situations happen, especially with boating excursions. But at the very minimum, a tour company should coordinate safe transportation and accommodate its guests with a backup plan rather than leaving them stranded to figure it out themselves.
Unacceptable experience, and I would recommend booking with caution. Had we had another day in Croatia, we absolutely would have booked a similar excursion with a different boating company.

engine broke down and this happends, that is quite true and quite normal.
We have a strict protocol in this situations: you were guided to the ferry that drives you from Vis directly to departure point in Split. Simple and comfortable.
You visited the Blue cave and you stayed in the most beautiful town in Croatia, town Komiza on island Vis.
But in your review you didn't mention the most important thing, that after you submitted this review you demanded multiple payments in order to delete your review.
You also didn't mention that you run away without refunding your skipper 48€ for the Blue cave entry tickets that he payed for you from his own pocket (and you did enjoy the visit to the Blue cave).
So we can only assume that blackmailing tour operators is your method how you finance your travels.

Alex was a wonderful skipper. Thank you for giving us plenty of swimming opportunities. We weren't able to visit the Blue Cave because the tide was in but Alex made sure we still have a great time. The music on the boat is spot on. Definitely gave us main character energy. Thank you.!

Fantastic experience, one of the best full day outings we’ve done.
Why:
1) Luka, our skipper gave us tons of great beta, and tailored the trip to our group of 11. It’s clear he has passion for his job, sharing the best w tourists, and creating a memorable day
2) Good music, awesome speedboat (Spanish built). Pay the fee extra dollars for this one for the speed and shade
3) did so many things, went so many places in just 1 day. Probably the best full day tour from Split
Note: we went to Blue Cave but in hindsight didn’t need to for an extra €24/pp esp given all the other amazing places and caves (free and less touristy) we went to after.
This is the one, and Luka was amazing.
10/10. Luka was phenomenal! The boat was safe and comfortable, happy we opted for the shade boat! The water was warm and beautiful for swimming. We enjoyed all of Luka’s recommendations, highly suggest asking for him as your guide.
I went on a trip with my family, and I was worried because we had to take a boat for a long time. But the scenery was so beautiful that time just flew by while I was looking at it .Simon is perfact skipper.
Amazing, trust your skipper! Do the caves. Make the experience your own. Enjoy the quality of water Croatia has to offer, it’s unprecedented(but not unreal).

Simon was amazing so much so we invited him to lunch. He is an amazing Captian - thoughtful, respectful, and considerate. He is also extremely knowledgeable of Croatia history and was able to give us true knowledge of the country, history, and heritage. Something I am sure many others would not have done. He also measured carefully the balance of “if we head to the Blue Cave, and it cancels then we put ourselves like the others I. The cue or we head to the places your will truly enjoy!
And that is exactly what he did with unanimous consent - that is how good Simon is as a Captian and a Tour Guide!

Our guide went above and beyond to make the day wonderful. The boat ride was so much fun and we saw so many beautiful parts of Croatia. Our guide gave us great recommendations of places to eat while we were on the different islands and shared a lot of interesting information about the history of the islands.
This was one of the highlights of our trip! The boat was very comfortable and Simon was the best guide, so fun, with knowledge of the history of the area, great music, and restaurant recommendations! The ride back to Split was a little choppy but I knew that I was in good hands with Simon!

From the very beginning, Simon was authentic, welcoming, and genuinely committed to making sure everyone had an incredible experience. He was always attentive, helping us with anything we needed while creating a relaxed and fun atmosphere throughout the day.
What really stood out was his knowledge. The history, local stories, and fascinating trivia he shared gave us a much deeper appreciation for Croatia’s heritage, culture, and the beautiful islands we visited. It never felt like a scripted tour—it felt like spending the day with a passionate local who truly loves his country.

This trip is absolutely worth it! We had the best time with our skipper, Simon—he was funny, professional, and super friendly. All the spots were stunning and the boat is SO COMFORTABLE (loved the sunshade!), which made our 11 hours go by smoothly.
It was an incredible day.

Simon was the best guide and knew all the cool places. We wondered how we would feel about an all day trip but we didn’t want it to end. Glad the Blue Cave was open but it would have been fun without that also!
Simon, our skipper/guide, was extremely knowledgeable about all the islands we visited and also offered great ideas on how to spend our time at each stop as well as where to eat. He had a great sense of humor and was kind, caring and helpful - even to us seniors (60+). He also made sure everyone felt safe and comfortable and even helped a passenger who didn’t know how to swim. We were very impressed with that. His music playlist was great and catered for young and old!
The speedboat was comfortable and all seat seats shaded from the sun. This experience exceeded our expectations and we highly recommend it.
This was an absolutely top notch experience. I traveled with 6 friends and 3 kids on the boat tour with Simon, who gets a 10 out of 5 as a guide. He had everything covered- he knew exactly what he was doing on the waves to make it fun and bouncy when we wanted (for us dolphins at heart!) but it was a smooth and luxurious ride. The seats were very comfortable, and seeing other boats where passengers were straddling pommel horses with no leg room, I was sooo grateful to have chosen this company. Simon shared history of the islands, the country, and even of his family. He was very personable, connected with us but gave us space to just be ourselves, had a fabulous playlist and took lots of requests from my 17 year olds and a silly group of women! He had great suggestions of uncrowded beaches, so while we visited the more famous ones, he took us to less popular ones as well, knowing we would likely enjoy those more (we did!). We jumped off the boat to swim, explored caves in the water (not just the Blue Cave), visited several beaches, walked several islands, visited the site of Mamma Mia and a more secluded island (Vis) as well as a more populated one (Hvar) which gave us a multidimensional view of the islands. He made a lunch reservation for us in Hvar (as a party of 10, it would have been hard to get into a restaurant) and specified the restaurant that he recommended- one that is locally owned by a family for 60 years. He also told us ways to support local businesses, including a single older woman selling lavender, olive oil tasting, etc. The service and food was excellent at the restaurant, and we were happy to eat, drink, explore, purchase from true locals, hike, and enjoyed every minute of the entire day. It was a perfect balance between exploration and relaxation, and after a 12 hour day, I can say that I came home fulfilled but not exhausted, which is quite a feat after 12 hours in the sun on a tour! I would do this tour over and over again. Don't hesitate to book this company. Tere are lots of great reviews about Simon and this tour for good reason. If you take this tour, you will not regret it.

Me and my partner booked the trip as we had already done a Catamaran tour and loved it but wanted to see the blue caves and do more swimming/see more islands. This tour was perfect, the skipper Simon was great and very informative/helpful. We visited multiple swim stops and Islands and had the best time. I would 100% recommend this tour it’s worth every penny
Soooo much fun. Luka is awesome. He provided us with a great history of the islands. We swam, boated through the gorgeous blue cave, shopped. Wonderful perfect day!!! Water is beyond beautiful. You have to see it. Boat ride was a blast too!!!
We didn’t go to the blue cave like we hoped but the alternative tour was still great. Luka was an amazing guide! The boat ride was so fun!
Simon was a great skipper and showed us so many amazing and unique places! He even adapted the tour to hit more places that I wouldn’t have been able to see without a local guide.
