Our visit to the Padre Pio Shrine was a meaningful and memorable experience. The trip was well-organized, and our guide, Teresa, was knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive. She explained the history and significance of the shrine beautifully, making the visit very special. It’s important to note that Teresa was our tour guide at the Padre Pio Shrine itself — the service mainly provides transportation to and from your origin, rather than a fully guided tour for the entire journey. There is an additional fee for the guide, which was clearly explained to us in advance, and it was well worth it for the insight and care Teresa provided. The drive is quite long, so be prepared for a full-day trip. The scenery along the way was pleasant, and we appreciated that lunch was pre-reserved, which made the day smooth and convenient. Also, make sure you understand the pick-up and drop-off arrangements before booking. We had to pay extra for the drop-off back at our hotel, which we hadn’t expected. Overall, it was a well-planned and enriching experience, and Teresa’s guidance at the shrine made it truly worthwhile. Just be ready for the long drive, confirm the transportation details.

Good day thank you for your review, we started to speak on the phone long time before the trip, it was originally booked for Oct 2nd, then you asked if was possible to move to Oct. 3rd, then you told me the hotel you were staying in Naples which is located far way from the usually pick and drop off point (the pick up and drop off is Piazza Garibaldi or any hotel near there). Your B&B was located on the hill site totally the opposite site of the city. I original told you by phone and I gave you the choice of using 2 taxi but you said that one member of the family was not walking well and if was possible for us to pick you up there. Also, when we spoke on the phone I told you that we are not official guides, on the way we were telling you a brief history of Padre Pio and getting there we were pointing out all the places to see, then I asked if you may wanted a private guide there it was an add of 100 to be paid directly to the guide and you said yes please book a guide Thank you

Was exactly as was told it was going to be but even better. Our driver Felipo was amazing, I didn’t feel rushed and he was very knowledgeable. Finally a tour that we booked that was what it said it was.

Day Trip to San Giovanni Rotondo from Naples

The trip to San Giovanni Rotondo was superb! Our driver Filippo was an excellent driver. He made the trip very entertaining explaining about the different regions we were passing. San Giovanni Rotondo is a very special place.Filippo got a guide for us to learn about the history of father Pio and the different churches. It was a beautiful tour. Thank you Filippo.

A Dream Come True!

It was my dream to one day visit San Giovanni Rotondo, to see Padre Pio, to visit his shrine, to see his cell, and to see the hospital he built. The Private Day Trip to San Giovanni Rotondo with Filippo made that happen! From the time the booking was made, Filippo had excellent communication with all my questions regarding the trip, since we had to be back on the cruise ship in Naples at a certain time. This was Filippo’s first time to drive a family from a cruise ship to San Giovanni Rotondo. Since we were under time constraints, we made sure we were one of the first ones off the ship. Filippo drove us to San Giovanni Rotondo and dropped us off by the shrine. He fetched us when we were finished, and brought us back to the port on time! Thank you, Filippo for being a very professional, nice and honest person to work with! But, most especially, for making my dream in visiting Padre Pio come true! I would highly recommend this trip!

I had driver only Phillip who was very polite and safe driver. He spoke very good English.It took 3 hours to get there and 2 and 1/2 to return to Naples.The shrine was beautiful both new and old one. Ample time was allow to explore around.The gift shop in new shrine had good prices and selection of gifts.
