Itinerary

In the morning, meet your guide and group in central Sorrento before heading to the port. Hop aboard a jet boat and cruise across the blue waters of the Mediterranean.

Upon arrival, go for a scenic drive and a walking tour in the chic town of Capri, known for its designer shopping, whitewashed buildings, and bustling little streets. As you travel, learn more from your guide about the area's history.

You'll also travel to the hilltop town of Anacapri for some additional sightseeing, and will have free time to visit Villa San Michele or take the chairlift to Monte Solaro (own expense). Built on the ruins of an ancient chapel, the views from this popular spot are unbeatable.

After a day of island life, conclude with transportation back to Sorrento.

Great tour, Wonderful guide Gulie

We had a really good guide, Gulie and the trip was well organized and enjoyable. Because of the crowds she took us up to Anacapri quickly and we did avoid the worst of the crowds. We really enjoyed the Chairlift up to the top. The boat trip around the island with Capri Bell was a big disappointment. Beautiful scenery but the boat was too crowded with only inside seats available. Windows were too dirty to see well. Poor audio for the commentary. I don't recommend the boat trip option.

As we stayed in conca park hotel we walked to the pickup point we found it very confusing as we were down in port for 40 mins and got very anxious as we couldnt find restaurant for pick up eventually our tour guide found us i would recommend getting picked up at hotel ,after this our experience grew by the minute our tour guide Desiree was absolutely amazing she was the most bubbliest of characters and made our whole experience amazing her insight and tips were top notch from where to shop to the restaurant in capri she recomended was the best food we tasted all week it was amazing of all the toours we have done with viator around the world from new york, las vegas rome, krakow etc this was by far the best and it was all down to our guide Desiree

The chairlift with views from the top! The boat ride around the island! The restaurant did hose us for drinks though-they need to be more up front with the costs-even though we asked if the coffee was extra-they did not tell us!

Fantastic Scenery on a Beautiful Day

This was a spectacular trip. The boat ride was quite nice. When we arrived our guide loaded us on a bus and we went right to the top to Anacapri boarding chairlifts to Mt. Solarno. The views were exceptional. Lunch was arranged as we arrived down. Those who chose not to go up the mountain had time to shop. After lunch we returned to Capri and had time to wander and shop. They had some nice shops at reasonable prices. Those who chose not to shop took a boat around the Blue Grottos. Those who went said it was amazing.

Fun on the Boats

The best part of the day was spent on the water traveling to and from Capri. The boat trip around Capri itself was the most special. Also enjoyed the chairlift up the mountain at Anacapri. The guide Tanya was uninspired providing little information, just sheparding the group from place to place.

Anacapri and Capri - fb tour

Our day started a little confused r the meeting point but eventually found the right guide. Pasquale was quirky and knowledgeable and made the day more interesting. Doing Anacapri first was a good idea. Capri was fab as was the boat tour around the island. Queuing for the main boat back to Sorrento - people not on tours just jumped the queue. Capri day trip

Capri was beautiful, but we didn’t feel the tour was well organised and seemed chaotic at times. We went with a small local independent excursion company from Sorrento a few days earlier to Amalfi which was much better.

An Amazing Tour by Tonino

It was definitely not worth the money. It included the boat ride to the island. Everything else was extra. We had about 30 minutes with the guide and the rest of the time was on our own. Whatever you wanted to do on the island was an extra extra expense.

The trip to Capri was during off season and the crowds were overwhelming. The island is beautiful and the boat ride around the island was the best experience on the island. The size of the tour was too large so much of the time was spent waiting on other people. Our guide's English was poor and it was hard to understand him. With the size of the group and the crowds it was hard to hear him. I would recommend a different way to see Capri and Anacapri, but don't miss them!

Pepe was very knowledgeable and gave us a lot of interesting information. Pepe advised visiting Anacapri at the start of the day before it got busy and the trip up the chairlift was easier when it was less busy. We took the boat trip round the island which was well worth doing. A very enjoyable day and very well organised.

Having previously done the Capri and Anacapri trip ourselves by booking our own ferry tickets, local buses and chairlift, this time we decided to do the Viator tour booked with Acampora Travel. I knew there were optional extras such as the boat trip around Capri, Blue Grotto etc. Our guide Peppe was superb, one of the best guides I have had a day trip with. He explained all the optional extras upfront before we set off and gave his advice on which to choose. I knew we wanted to do the boat trip around Capri as we had not done this before, but were unsure of the Glue Grotto. We decided against this and as it turned out on the day, it was closed due to high tide / swell. Peppe gave a recommendation on where to eat with a good (set) menu and fast turnaround so we could enjoy more free time. This must be the fastest service ever in Italy!!! The salad I had was massive. An excellent recommendation. The chairlift and views from Anacapri were as stunning as I remembered and the boat trip around the island was the highlight of an excellent and well organised day trip. Peppe was interesting and entertaining and a perfect guide.

Despite the fact that Capri is such a popular destination, we had a wonderful experience thanks to our tour guide's - Peppe - great planning to avoid crowds, but most of all due to his knowledge, enthusiasm, humour and kindness. We appreciated the guided aspects of the tour, but also the time off in which we could individually focus on seeing what we wanted, e.g. Villa San Michele on Anacapri.

To start with, our tour guide Sonja was terrific but she just doesn’t have much to work with on this tour. Although it was to be an English speaking tour in fact it was English and German combined. So we had to listen to the presentation and instructions in both languages. We felt we wasted our day going to Capri. As beautiful as it is, it really has no attractions to speak of. Stick with Sorrento, Positano and Amalfi. You can do the three towns and more in the same timeframe and for less money with lunch included.

Enjoyed lift ride from Capri to Anacapri. Lovely views. Got lost looking for bus back to Capri. Took another bus down and guide, Tonino, met us in the main square by the tower and got us back on track. Boat ride not that interesting. Capri very crowded.
