Had a great afternoon visiting the floating village. We drove through and then walked part of the way on the road side and then took a boat trip along the river seeing all the houses and communities. This was followed by taking the boat into Tonle Sap lake. Our guide was very knowledgable about the area and we really enjoyed our time there.

Dat was a knowledgeable and friendly tour guide who gave us a wonderful insight into life in Khleang Village and the local culture. He also took us to Tonlé Sap Lake, where we spent some quiet time in the middle of the lake, listening to the laughter and conversations of villagers living in the floating houses. The tranquility of the experience was unforgettable. We really enjoyed our conversations and learning more about the local way of life. Highly recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Awesome half day afternoon tour!

We had a fantastic tour of the floating village with JB and so glad we went in the afternoon because that meant there were less tour boats on the river and lake and we got to watch the sunset from the lake. JB was super knowledgeable and we learned a ton about the way of life of the people living in the stilted homes and floating village. It was awesome to see the village come to life in the evening as the sun went down on our ride back, too. Excellent experience, highly recommend!

Good tour. The drive out to the villages was roughly an hour in a comfortable van. Lin, our guide, was friendly and provided a thorough explanation of how the people live during the dry and wet seasons. He readily answered our questions and provided insight into the area and the recent history. His English was very good. Highly recommend.

One of the best experiences in Siem Reap

I had the best experience in Kampong Khleang with Lin today. The village and the life/people there were still so authentic (not touristy at all), and the boat ride in the river to the lake was so interesting. Lin shared so many interesting stories about how people live during dry and wet season, which are also coming from his personal experience. Lin and the driver were so lovely, he is knowledgeable, funny, and spoke english proficiently. We had a lovely time exploring the town, the boat ride (the best!!) and finished with nice lunch at a restaurant. Thank you Lin 🤍

Very very cool to see the adaptability and creatively of the local people here and how they live life during various seasons throughout the year. We visited during dry season so the river was low but the tour guides still made their best to show us the floating villages (skilled driver using the boat in shallow waters!) Would recommend people to visit, our tour guide Lin and driver Rye were great.
