What a great evening. We definitely tasted more than 10 things and all from local restaurants, ending with some fried insects which look scary but tasted ok. Food felt very safe. Our guide was really informative about the food and about Cambodia.

Great experience! I always like to see the real culture and how locals live. Eat good, local food, away from the touristy resorts. Learned so much about the cuisine, community and history of Siem Reap. I recommend!

Good intro to food of Cambodia

Nak picked us up in a tuk tuk and we went to about four different locations to try, count them, ten dishes. So a lot of food and a variety of restaurants & food stands. Pace yourself, it is a lot of food.

Tour guide was great, very friendly and chatty. Food options were unique. You might fill up so don’t feel bad not eating everything offered in full. We even got to try a drink sold at only one of the restaurants. Fun evening!

Disappointing amount of options…

This was the least satisfying of 3 different tours I took with Viator while in Siam Reap. Explanation required. Our guide was fantastic…fun loving, great English, and wonderful personality. However, the food options were really limited. We stopped at 3 locations. The first two we had one dish each. At the 3rd location, we were not interested in “fresh” (uncooked vegetables from the street vendor, and it seemed our tour was done. On the way back to hotel, we stopped at another street vendor for some prepackaged “desserts”. From the bit I know of food options in Siam Reap, our bill for food was probably about $5 per person. The advert for this tour says (10 Locals Tasting with Drinks…). As noted above, we stopped 3 time and picked up a package from 3rd vendor. We had water at one place, and pumpkin water at another. Nothing remotely added up to 10 tastings. When we said we did not want uncooked food from street vendors, it seemed there was no alternative. I have lived in Asia 20 years. I know what street food is like. They should have had alternatives…Siam Reap has lots of food options.

Great guide and lots of interesting local food

Mr. Nak was a great guide. He was able to answer all of our questions, including a lot of information about Cambodian culture beyond the food. He had us try 10 different local dishes and explained the ingredients and cooking processes. My favorite was the pumpkin juice. We rode in a tuk-tuk through the city to get to the 3 different restaurants. Some of the food was not to my personal liking, but it was great to get to try things. The last place was much more of a non-tourist spot, so I did not enjoy the crickets landing in and on us and the food, but that was the main downside to the tour. I would definitely recommend Mr. Nak and this tour to anyone visiting Cambodia.

I don’t normally like to criticise but This is not value for money. Went to 3 places and had very average food. We have spent 5 days in Cambodia and this was the least favourite experience.

Amazing. Cultural. Best food in Siem Reap

My friend and I had an amazing food tour experience with Lux as our tour guide. He took us to local places that we'd have never suspected were local favourites or even think to walk into and try! We had spent a few days in Siem Reap trying food but nothing compared to what we tried with Lux - we had the most delicious and widest ranging food with him. He was extremely knowledgeable about the local restaurants & their history and gave us great insight into the local culture, and also very personable. I highly recommend anyone to take a food tour first thing upon landing in Siem Reap if you're after a truly authentic food experience and a great way to fast track learning about the local culture!

We took this tour our first day arriving in Siem Reap. It was wonderful to be shown around town by Lux, taking us to where the locals go. A good introduction to the Cambodian lifestyle and food. The transport was comfortable and the hospitality was awesome. We were so happy we took this tour! My 20 something daughters thought it was rad as well.

This was the best food tour I've been on!! Mr. Tork was amazing. The places we went had no foreigners so I really felt like it was truly local food. All the food was really delicious. I was offered more things to try but the portions are so big I was just so full by the end. I do wish there was a smaller portion option as I hate to waste food but it was truly fantastic. Definitely do this tour!
