No previous stand-up paddleboard experience is necessary, and you can take a beginner's lesson before renting (additional expense).

I would gladly rate my paddle boarding experience a perfect 10/10! My instructor, Koa, was not only skilled but also boasted a fantastic personality that made learning both easy and enjoyable. His patience was particularly appreciated as I navigated the learning curve. I love how being in the water is so calming. Koa was a great guide pointing out landmarks and taking pics of me. Paddle Boarding the Han River is something I never would have thought was possible. And haveing Jjajangmyeon delivered. Even better!! Great experience!!

Very relaxing kayak experience in the Han river on a beautiful fall day. Koa made everything easy and fun - highly recommend! Great activity to do with my college aged daughters and he was super helpful with my bad knees.

Fun activity

Loved this experience! We stayed in Seoul near Gyeungbokung palace and took a cab to the windsurfing club and it took about 30 to 40 minutes at around 430 pm. Fyi about the cabs, a lot of the cabs run on kakao talk which you need the app and a Seoul bank account, so we have been using the uber app and have not had any difficulty. Cab ride costs are reasonable. I have read it is also easily accessible by subway here too. Koa the owner of this activity is great. He provides instruction for paddleboarding and kayaking if you need and you have about 2 hours to enjoy the Han river ( water felt great since it was 90 degrees and humid) beautiful sunset views of Seoul with Seoul tower in your backdrop and Koa takes pics of you on your paddleboard or Kayak so you don't have to worry about dropping your phone in the river! Nice escape from the urban jungle. There is shower and changing room and lockers with locks. You don't need water shoes as he has a bunch of slides/crocs for you to walk down to the river in and leave on the dock. A nice activity to relax and enjoy the city from a different perspective

Great experience; here are some extra tips

I really enjoyed this experience! A few things that might help others: looking at Google maps / Kakao maps / Naver, none of them told me an efficient way to get there by subway -- all included a transfer to a bus and a 30+ minute walk through the main city. Fortunately, Koa had mentioned that it's close to the Jayang Subway station, so I just figured out how to get to Jayang by looking at the subway map, and that worked *so* much better. At Jayang, exit on the side with the pool, keep the river on your right, and walk about 1.5 km along the obvious river path. Zooty is in the 'windsurfing' area, which is a very clear set of low huts (to the left of the path), all numbered. Koa had contacted me ahead of time via WhatsApp, so I was able to communicate on the morning. The lockers available are keyed cubby-holes, so you don't need to bring your own lock, but you'll need to have a safe place to keep the key (like a zippered pocket). It's a small sit-on-top kayak, just fine for wandering around the area between the bridges. You're right near Lotte Tower, so there are some great photo ops with the tower behind you. I was travelling solo, and Koa came out in a little boat with an outboard motor when I was in a good spot for photos and took pictures for me. Very friendly, and it was a really nice way to get out into some fresh air after sitting inside at a conference for several days! :)

The kayak 2 hours session was great. The river is the best place to go for kayak without needing to go out of Seoul.. Koa met us on time and gave good tutor (quickly because he is busy). I will do it again when I’m visiting Seoul. Recommend it kayak lover. And try to find Koa👍🏼

Koa is delicate and meticulous. He pre-empt us on the rainy weather for our selected slot, made suggestions and accommodated our schedule. He even went out of the way to take photo for us on a speed boat when we were far out of the water. 10/10 for the service and fun!

I haven’t done kayaking for a while, but it was definitely one of my favorite things to do in Seoul. Koa was very kind, he gave us guidance for success, and took photos of us. It was really nice too because our group signed up for the 5:30 pm, and we got photos with the sunset. My phone was dying but he let me borrow his charger. Also, it was my first time at the Han river, and he gave us recommendations for local restaurants after we finished the activity! When I come back to Seoul, Korea, I definitely want to come back. Thank you!

Koa was a fantastic host and helped to get us started with kayaking along the Han River. He was super friendly and had amazing English skills so this experience was very foreigner-friendly. His photography skills were great as well in capturing memories for me and my friends! We also enjoyed the restaurant recommendations he gave us for our dinner afterwards around the area. Would highly recommend having him as your guide for your next Han River adventure here in Korea! :)

This was insanely beautiful. The kayaking experience was so nice, and seeing the sunset was amazing. The tour guide was super nice, he let us know that he started his business a year ago. He even suggested famous food places to go to - and my group went and let me tell you - IT WAS PERFECT! I 100% recommend coming here, even if you’re alone. It’s a beautiful experience.

Koa was able to quickly facilitate myself into the kayak. I had the whole of Han River to myself that evening. Though sunset was not visible due to cloudy condition that day, i had the luxury to paddle and experience Han River my own way!

Koa was great as the guide. This essentially an opportunity to rent kayaks and get out on the river. It was not a structured tour. This was exactly what we were looking for. Swimming in the river after was an added bonus.

Awesome Guide- Great Experience

I did the paddle boarding experience with the lessons. Koa was awesome, super encouraging and informative. His English is great, which makes learning a lot easier. He took videos of us learning to stand on the board so that we’d have great memories, and he made the whole experience very chill and fun. They have a shower and locker room area, which was super clean and nice to be able to ride the subway back home cleaned up. I’ll definitely be back again so that I can learn more!

The whole experience is a decent one. A brief introduction about how to kayak was given and our instructor Koa provided kind assistance in fluent English. He is helpful and proactive in catering to our needs and inquiries. The experience also includes photography during sunset time. The view is stunning and we highly recommend it if you wish to experience something different in the city center of Seoul.

I had a great day with Keo, not only the he is very well prepared and kind with the whole kayaking and SUP experience, he also is very good company for the rest of the day. He gave me good recommendations on what else I shouldn't miss on my trip in Seoul. The kayaking and SUP on the Han-River is great as well. Ofcourse it is very calm water, but the scenery is great. Kayaking close to the Lotte Tower and in the middle of Seoul is definetly worth it. Make sure to bring sunscreen and some snacks and drinks, also towels for a shower after the sport.
