It was a really fun experience. Yuki was very clear with the directions of the meet up place and was there early to ensure we got picked up.
The class was very chill and it was a relaxing experience. Learned some basic techniques and the end product was delicious.
At the end we also got to see a temple that was close to the workshop and she also recommended a lunch spot for us which was fantastic.

What a great experience! With clear communication from the very beginning and prompt support when we were standing at the wrong corner for pickup, Yuki was great to work with! After a lovely cup of tea and some friendly conversation we got started on the delicate Wagashi making. Yuki had prepared very clear instructions for us to take home with us and was an excellent teacher. Her English skills are strong and what words she didn't have she could use actions to show the next step.
I am failry clumsy and lack much artistic talent but the instructions were clear and under a masters guidance the process was easy! My wife is much more artistic than I am and also had a great time making the Wagashi.
At the end, we had four beautiful and delicious sweets to take back to the hotel. 5 stars!

Yuki-san is a wonderful teacher! Her instructions made the activity enjoyable and fun. We were lucky that she was able to pick us up from the train station. There was even another group with us, but the conversation was easy.
Yuki made it so even somebody with clumsy fingers like myself could make something wonderful.

This has been such a cute and lovely and homey experience. I loved everything about it. Yuki-san was kind enough to pick me up from the station. It's a bit far 😅. The drive to her place was through breathtaking mountainous region. Hokkaido truly is beautiful.
She has a lovely home and an adorable and beautiful cat. I was the only guest since I booked at beginning of October. Most guest are usually in winter time.
Yuki-san walked me through every step of the wagashi making process with patience and elegance. It was easy to follow and a very fun process. I loved how it demystified the process for me. Later on my trip I bought the wagashi making tools to try it myself back home.
Thank you for the wonderful class Yuki-san

Fun confectionary experience in the Sapporo area. We were picked up at the subway station, taken to the hosts home, served hot match tea and proceeded to learn how to make Wagashi. It was a delightful birthday present for my daughter who appreciates Japanese culture.

We had a lovely time making Japanese sweets under Yuki's professional eye. It was a very valuable cultural insight.
Yuki was a patient and dedicated teacher, as well as an incredibly helpful and responsive host from the day we booked the experience. She provided all the necessary details to get to the meeting point and was available for contact.
The class took place in a quiet part of Sapporo which was a nice change after the bustling city center.

If you are looking to get out of the horde of tourists in Sapporo, this class is perfect. We spent time in the Sapporo suburbs in a local cozy Japanese home to make Wakashi. Our host Yuki was patient and guided us well in making these wonderful desserts. It took full focus to make these pretty desserts and which tasted good.
If you want something quaint, authentic, local and cultural, I would highly recommend this class.

Taking the Wagashi class was a delightful experience. My children learned the delicate art of traditional Japanese sweets, savoring each moment from shaping to tasting these treats. The experience was made memorable by Yuki, whose warmth and patience with kids, along with her attentive coordination, ensured everything went smoothly. Discussing and learning about Hokkaido added a nice layer of cultural insight to our time together. I wholeheartedly recommend her courses to anyone visiting Sapporo!

The whole experience was very delightful and memorable from start to finish. Yuko is friendly, patient, and deliberate as well as articulate in her instruction. Yuki was a wonderful host. She promptly picked us up from the train station and took us to her traditional Japanese home which was wonderful. We had special green tea served in Japanese teacups and nice conversation. Afterwards we proceeded to the wagashi making table. Her sweet making instructions were clear. She even provided us with the history of the sweets we made. In addition to clear directions in english, she also provided written english instructions for us to keep. After making the sweets we had more nice conversations. At the end she packed our sweets in nice containers and took us back to the train station. It was a very nice experience. I highly recommend this class and Yuki. PS: She also gave us local restaurant tips…away from tourists.
