A must visit of San José and Costa Rica sights and history!

A wonderful tour with a very intuitive and knowledgeable guide. Our guide, Jorge, was not only well versed in Costa Rican history, but also in the history and culture of Central, North, and South America. He made insightful connections between countries and cultures, which added so much depth to the experience. Jorge was incredibly friendly, patient, and generous with his time, making everyone feel welcome and engaged. He shared fascinating insights across many subjects, not just history, but also geography, economics, agriculture, and the arts. The tour was a great introduction to the wonderfully beautiful, poetic, interesting, brave, and proud culture of San José and Costa Rica. It was a rich and memorable experience from start to finish.

Our guide cancelled the tour two hours before the scheduled time leaving us unable to reschedule. I tried calling the company several times and they never answered. We were in town for the day and our trip was ruined by a tour guide who was a no-show.

Fabulous Walking Tour

This is a great tour to get to know the City of San Jose, and the interesting facts about Costa Rica! Our host Jorge was extremely knowledgeable about history, culture and natural sciences. He was happy to field the many questions we had. We walked from downtown into many neighborhoods with interesting architecture and beautiful parks. Jorge was really attuned to going at the pace we wanted, and was so friendly. If you are new to San Jose, do yourself a favor and book this tour.
