Our truffle-hunting guide Luca was very attentive and an expert in the field. Our family and I had so much fun with the dogs Lily and Lena, who were very good at finding truffles!! Luca was the perfect host. He allowed for hands-on with the dogs, with the truffles and being able to hike through the woods of Tuscany.
I love to cook but, given the shortage of truffles in the United States, I can't say I ever really understood the flavors or anything about them other than what I had seen on TV, so I wanted to get up close and personal with them.
This tour was the perfect tour for me, and my wife, who just tagged along, had a great time as well. We ended with lunch at the restaurant with wine tasting, local fare and plenty of dishes served with truffles so I really got a good taste.
It was a really great opportunity to see how it all works up close as well as taste lots and lots of truffles to the point that I understand them now and can picture the flavor whenever I see them on some of my favorite cooking programs. I can say that the mystery has been removed for me.

Luca and his two amazing dogs Lilly and Luna made for a memorable morning in the woods. We found many truffles during the hunt and his knowledge and passion was amazing. If you are looking for the best truffle hunter look no further!

One of the coolest experiences we've done while traveling! Our guide, Luca, and his dogs, Lily and Lexi, were all wonderful company. We found multiple truffles during our hunt and then back to the vineyard for a delicious wine tasting and lunch. Bravo!

Now, the winery and food are average at best. The wine tasting and food are actually below average. Can not recommend that part.
The truffle hunting is through another company and really enjoyed that but it is only 30 minutes or so, we left the wine tasting and food early
There is so much better wines in the area. It is a tourist trap

Luca and his beautiful dogs, Lexa and Lilly, gave us the most incredible truffle hunting experience for our group of four. Luca educated us on the history and culture of truffles in Tuscany, how his dogs are trained (and part of his family), and how to work with the dogs to forage for these incredible fungi. We found ~20 bianchetto truffles in under an hour. Afterwards, we returned to the vineyard to enjoy a wonderful truffle focused lunch with a wine pairing. Local cheese, charcuterie, crostini, pasta, lemon cream, and more all showcasing the variety of truffle we had just foraged. It was such a unique, Tuscan experience that we will not forget and cannot recommend more.

Our guides were absolutely lovely & we had a group of 7 on our tour. They were extremely knowledgeable and the dogs were of course outstanding. We split into 2 groups and each group had a guide and 2 dogs. It was amazing to watch these well trained dogs find the locations where the truffles were growing. If you love animals & nature, this is an activity for you! A little advice..don't wear fancy shoes like one of the ladies in the group. We didn't get muddy, but you are in the woods.

Luca ( our truffle hunter guide) was just fantastic. His vast knowledge of the dogs, hunting truffles and the truffles themselves kept us engaged the entire trip, we could have done it ALL day! Our dogs, Lilly and Lexie, were just adorable and friendly, we wanted to bring them home with us! Lunch and wine after on the vineyard patio made for an extra special lunch complete with lots of truffles and delicious wine! It was a truly unique experience and worth the splurge!

We had a great time truffle hunting. Our guide did a wonderful job walking us through the process and showing us how to handle the dogs, then let us all head through the woods and find quite a few truffles. Afterwards, the lunch and wine were excellent!

Our guide was great! It was a very hands on experience where you can walk with the dogs on your own and dig for truffles. The lunch was filling and delicious in a beautiful outdoor location overlooking San Gimignano. It included a wine tasting, oil tasting, and vinegar tasting.

Lucca and his 2 dogs were so much fun to learn about and experience truffle hunting in Tuscany. We found 7 black truffles on our adventure. Lucca also presented us with a gift of truffle s & quail eggs. Upon return to the winery we tasted 4 wines & 4 olive oils with bruschetta. meats, and pasta with truffles. Awesome views. What a way to start the day.

This was one of our favorite activities we’ve done during our trip to Italy! The dogs were on the scent (and very cute) and we found a total of ~15 truffles as a group! If you’re lucky, you’ll get Lexa as your truffle pup. The food was also great, along with wine and oils/vinegars. Definitely a must do!

Lucca was incredibly knowledgeable and provided a one of a kind experience with truffle hunting for these first time truffle hunters. We took my parents, in their 70s, and there was a fair amount of exploring in the woods and fields. We found multiple truffles with his cute and friendly truffle hunting dogs.
The lunch was delicious and wine pairing as well. The view couldn’t be beat.

The Truffle hunting experience was an experience we will never forget. Meeting Lexa our little truffle hunter and her trainer were spectacular. Just hearing about how the dogs are trained and then watch Lexa hunt…wow! Then to top everything off, to go back to the winery for wine tasting and a delicious truffle lunch made it even more special.
