Overview
Set off into the snowy Finnish wilderness on this evening snowmobile safari from Rovaniemi. Zoom through the forest in search of the Northern Lights, and set up a tripod for the best possible night sky photos. Use of thermal clothing during the safari, including thermal overall, boots, gloves, woolen socks, a scarf, and helmets, is included, along with hotel pickup and drop-off.

- It is the customer’s responsibility to know basic English in order to understand the instructions. If the customer does not understand any of the instructions, Wild Nordic shall reserve the right to refuse the customer ́s participation based on safety concerns and necessity to communicate in English during any emergency situation.
- All the pick-up times are subject to a 15-minute difference depending on the other participants joining the tours. Customers shall wait for their pick-up in the hotel reception area (or such other area as notified by Wild Nordic)
- No refund of the tours will be made if the customer misses the pick up services as a result of failing to wait at the designated pick-up area. Wild Nordic has the right to charge reasonable expenses arising from such neglect to follow the timetable of the program.
- The driver of a snowmobile has to be at least 18 years old and hold a valid B (car) driver’s license.
- The driving license must be valid in EU countries. Customers should bring their valid driving licenses for participating in snowmobile driving. Driving licence must be physically present and written in Roman letters. No electronic versions allowed.
- The snowmobile driver is held liable for any damages caused to the snowmobile. This self-risk amount is a flat-rate of EUR 900 per driver/snowmobile /accident case, without exception or regards to the extent of the damage. If the customer purchases insurance from Wild Nordic for EUR 20 (subject to change as advised by Wild Nordic), then the maximum liability of the customer shall be reduced to EUR200 per person.
- Snowmobile and husky safaris are not suitable for pregnant women due to vibrations as a result of uneven tracks and the presence of exhaust fumes of the snowmobiles.
- Customers are highly encouraged to purchase personal travel insurance (which covers insurance for the activities to be participated);
- If a customer suffers from illness or disabilities (such as heart disease, asthma, diabetes, epilepsy, back or hip problems) that could affect his/her ability to take part in the activities or that she is pregnant, he/she shall prior to participating in the activities consult medical experts as to his/her suitability to participate in the activities. The customer shall acknowledge that he/she participate in the activities to be offered in the Services at his/her own risk in the case that he/she suffers from such illness or disability or pregnancy.
- If a customer is recovering from any illness or the effects of alcohol and/or drug consumption or have recently had any major illnesses or surgery, Wild Nordic shall reserve the right to refuse the customer ́s participation based on safety concerns.
- Wild Nordic shall not be responsible for any valuables of the customers left in the public area while participating in the activities.
- Please note: the northern lights are a natural occurrence and we are unable to guarantee activity, vibrancy or colour on the evening of the tour. The tour date can be moved free of charge once (depending on availability, excl. group reservations), please contact info@wildnordic.fi by 16.00 on the original date.
- Snowmobiles have 2 seats and all adults will be sharing snowmobiles unless booked as single drivers
- Children will be sitting on a sleigh pulled by the guide's snowmobile

This tour is not in Helsinki. We booked this under the impression it was. I was asked 5 days before we travelled to update our Hotel pick up. I emailed my response with our address in Helsinki. At no point we’re we told that this tour is 700 kilometres (approx) from where we were staying. This is not the only tour offered in Helsinki that is NOT actually anywhere near Helsinki.

Dear Tina,
We have already spoke directly with you in order to clarify what has happened with your booking and we assisted you with the refund by Viator so I have to say that this bad review took us by surprise .
You booked a tour that was advertised by a technical error in Helsinki, though when you read the description of the activity, you could clearly see that the starting point is in Rovaniemi and that all the others pick-up locations were located in this city.
Anyway, as I have personally already told you on the phone and via email, you do not communicate directly with us but with Viator, that is always intermediating between both sides, customers and suppliers.
As we explained you on the multiple emails exchanged and the phone, when you have updated your pick-up location, the confirmation message you received came from Viator, not from our side, so I really do not understand why still this wrong information is written here in this review. Upon reservation you informed no pick up location making it impossible for us to spot the error about Helsinki. When you updated your location, Viator did NOT notified us of your update, reason why we were not aware that you chose a pick-up location 700km from Rovaniemi and instead we had written you to come directly to our Safari Center (in Rovaniemi).
As per standard procedure, if we notice that the customers selected the wrong city we are always contacting them and informing them of the misunderstanding, because quality in service and satisfaction of our customers is our priority.
When we found out what had happened with your booking my main concern was to take care of you and I did all my best to make sure you would have got a refund from Viator, since there were two technical issues that caused all this situation.
You have shown understanding for what has happened and I think that you really appreciated our customer service, reason why you have answered to my email with the following text "In actual fact we intend to visit Lapland next year, so will definitely contact you to arrange tours. Best wishes." - so here the reason why we are very sad to receive such review.
We understand the frustration of not being able to attend a tour you thought you would have joined, and for this reason we still hope that you will choose us in the future when you will be visiting Rovaniemi!

No luck on seeing Northern lights. They should check with us whether we are on vegetarian diet. Bbq of the sausage looks so tempting. Esp when it's so cold, it's makes us more hungier

Was amazing !!! The snowmobile were a lot of fun my children and I was pulled on sleigh and my husband was on snowmobile it was easy to ride the bonfire was lovely and the berry juice was nice. Even though this time we did not get to see the lights it was an overall amazing experience. The guides was fantastic at making sure everyone was happy and safe !!!

Beside it being a cloudy night not the companies fault the trails got so bumpy in certain areas that needed grooming part of the ride was uncomfortable for the passenger. However, the stop for berry juice was very relaxing and beautiful.

Magnifique expérience de motoneige qui était une première pour moi, nous n’avons pas eu la chance de voir les aurores boréales mais notre guide a su s’adapter et nous avons fait un petit détour pour rattraper le coup, le jus chaud donné était le meilleur que j’ai bu en Laponie, vraiment excellent, pas de petit feu de camp cette fois, mais ce n’est pas grave, on en garde de merveilleux souvenirs !

Nous avions passé la veille une merveilleuse journée en motoneige via une autre agence de Rovaniemi. Quelle ne fût pas notre déception de l experience nocturne proposée par wild Nordic. L industrie du motoneige. Le parcours : un sentier de bosses. Un arrêt feu de camp où nous avons reçu comme repas en tout et pour tout une saucisse et un jus. Meme pas un morceau de pain. Rien. Ensuite retour au point de départ toujours par la même route composée uniquement de bosses. Ce qui bien entendu vous oblige a profiter de votre motoneige à 10km. Nous avons fait de nombreuses activités lors de notre séjour et toutes étaient parfaites. Je ne recommande absolument pas cette excursion. Le prix demande est tout simplement injustifié. Nous avons prévu de revenir avec nos enfants et cette agence sera exclue de toutes nos réservations.
