Hobbiton Movie Set is absolutely fantastic and exceeded our expectations! We had a wonderful guide during the walk around the set! The beautiful New Zealand countryside and the planting of flowers and shrubs around the Hobbit houses was stunning! Because we were doing two separate tours it included a buffet lunch! The food was outstanding! Go you definitely do not need extra snacks! The Waitomo Glow Worm Caves were brilliant too and quite spectacular! Our mini coach driver Herms was very knowledgeable about NZ and made a couple of impromptu stops on the way back to our hotel! A great day and all staff at both the Waitomo Glow worms cave and Hobbiton were without fault!

Very good! Definitely a "must do" when visiting NZ. Hobbiton transports you to a magical world, even if you are not close to Tolkien's world. On the other hand, the Waitomo caves are a unique experience. While the transfers are long, they are absolutely worth it. The excellent guides and drivers!
