The appetizers, then a glass of champagne, then the main course which was absolutely delicious with another glass of champagne, then a cheese board with some rafikin, which I never had before- kind of like a port? It's hard to explain but it was good! The main dish came with another glass of champagne. Our meal was a chicken dish with wild rice with a champagne sauce. The chicken wss cooked perfectly, very moist and tender..
the last dish was a homemade tart. I think it was pear with almost a cream like yogurt and a brut champagne. Our host could not have been any nicer. We did not want a 4 hour tour, looking at grapes and seeing the process from grapes to bottles. This was just a lunch with delicious champagne and an outstanding host. I would highly recommend you book this tour/lunch. We bought some bottles to take home and the prices were extremely reasonable. Between 20 and 30 euro each.

We had hoped for a walk through a vineyard but that isn’t part of this experience.

Une superbe expérience ! Nous avons eu droit à un déjeuner de qualité avec un personnel impliqué, passionné, souriant et totalement bilingue (nous étions accompagnée par une amie ne parlant pas français).
Merci encore pour la visite de la cave que nous avons réellement apprécié.

Es war ein geniales Erlebnis! Unsere Führerin Justine konnte sehr gut englisch, hatte auf alle Fragen eine Antwort und zeigte uns tolle Einblicke in die gesamte Champagner-Produktion! Wir hatten das Glück nur zu zweit zu sein und so konnten wir ein sehr romantisches Dinner mit Champagner-Probe im separierten wunderschönen Weinkeller genießen! Die verschiedenen Champagner waren sehr lecker und der Ratafia köstlich! Das Essen war auch sehr lecker und von Justine selbst gekocht. Wir sind von Epernay nach Monthelon gelaufen und es war eine schöne Wanderung durch die Weinberge! Können wir nur empfehlen! Wir haben am Vortag eine Führung bei einem großen Champagner-Hersteller gemacht, aber wir fanden diese kleinere und persönliche Tour viel schöner!
It was a fantastic experience! Our guide, Justine, spoke perfect english and had answers to all our questions. She showed us a great look into the whole process of the champagne production. We had the luck to be just two persons and had a romantic dinner in the little wine-cellar. The different champagne were delicious and the ratafia was also great! The food was also fantastic and Justine cooked it herself. We walked from Epernay to Monthelon and it was a great walk through the vineyards. We can recommend it! One day before we had a tour at a big champagne-company, but we liked this privat tour way better!
