This is a must do when you are in Quebec! Francois is the perfect guide. The scenery during the snowshoeing is breathtaking. The goats are so funny and do a great job getting all the equipment to the campfire location for eating. Luna (the dog) stole the show. She was great at keeping the goats on trail and so fun to play fetch with! She will keep bringing sticks to be thrown through the whole tour. The stew was delicious! So was the maple syrup dessert. My friends and I are so glad we did this! I would definitely recommend taking this adventure with Francois and his goats/dog.

I was unable to go through the experience since my son got sick.
I was so disappointed to not be able to do it.
I will say that they are very good and understanding though
Next time my husband and I travel up we will be doing this experience at this place.
I can’t wait

We had a blast! The hike was stunningly beautiful. Francois was an amazing guide and his goats were so friendly and made for great traveling companions. We highly recommend! Highlight of our trip.

The experience was truly unique. We love Viator for adventure, quality, and customer service. This experience was professional and personal. The goats were unique, friendly, and fun as was Luna the dog. Raphael and his father were more than professional in their leadership, knowledge, and ability. This tour thrilled young and old (us:) and our granddaughters had as fabulous experience. Thank you!

Drove to Quebec City from Connecticut for my birthday and New Year. We booked the tour for 12/31. We're so lucky to have a sunny day with a single digit weather. First time snowshoeing for me and my husband and we both enjoyed the tour. We both agreed that this tour was the highlight of our Quebec trip (among Ice Hotel, Montmorency Falls, Old Quebec including Chateu Frontenac and Quartier Petit Champlain, etc.). Our guide Francois was great and very knowledgeable. The 4 mountain goats and dog Luna as tour companions added a special touch to the experience. We really enjoyed the delicious stew (moose hunted by Francois and pork), maple whisky, coffee, and cake by the fire. It was a nice break. Francois' assistant that day (not his son) was very attentive to the guests. He made the fire, prepared the stew, and served the food and drinks. Highly recommended tour!!!

Loved the scenery and interacting with the goats. Nice hike, and everyone enjoyed the fire, homemade food and drinks, and hearing about the history of the area. Raul likes hugs!

Francois, the tour guide, and his son(s), were amazing! He was able to guide us through the canyons along the river comfortably and safely with his dog and goats while also making stops to detail the history of where we were and how it came to be. The stew provided with its passed down generational secret recipe was warm and hearty, great flavor and fulfilling. The whiskey and maple syrup is amazing. The meal alongside the river was an experience in itself aside from the snowshoeing. This is a must do tour, no experience needed, for all ages. My five year old easily did this in 8 degree weather. We will be back soon!

Beautiful scenery, informative and helpful tour guide, delicious food and drink! Goats and playful dog were added entertainment. Our group of 8 loved it!! Dress warm. Most of hike was flat surface, some moderately difficult inclines.

This was a delightful experience! Francois and his son made sure we were safe and sound while trekking in the freezing weather! The terrain was magnificent, the history Francois shared with us was fascinating, and best of all were the goats and his dog Luna! The mountain goats had such big personalities and really interacted with everyone! Never imagined that snowshoeing in 15 degree weather would be something I’d recommend! You should go!!!!

The guide was helpful and engaging. The tour was fun. The goats and Luna (dog) added to the experience.

A very fun (but expectedly cold) experience. The goats were a blast, and the scenery was spectacular. But the highlight was Luna (the German Shepherd), who constantly wanted to play fetch!

This snowshoeing tour was an amazing experience and a highlight of our trip. The total duration was about 2.5 hours, and our family of four loved every part of it. We spent 10 days over Christmas in the Quebec City area doing skiing, dogsledding, Christmas markets, and more, and this tour stands out as one of our favourite experiences.
The tour begins with a brief 10 minute orientation and overview of the area, followed by a 90 minute snowshoe hike along the river with plenty of short stops. Mountain goats and a friendly, playful dog walked with us for duration of the hike, which our family really enjoyed.
There’s a short stop for about 30 minutes where the guides prepare a campfire by the river, serving hot stew, drinks, and dessert, all of which were delicious. The tour finished with a 20 minute hike back up the hill to the starting point.
The guides were friendly, knowledgeable, and welcoming, and the experience was excellent value for the price. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the area.

This was the best part of our trip and we will remember forever. Our boys cant stop talking about it. ( ages 11 and 12). I was a little concerned with it being too cold but we were completely fine. The snow shoes helped a lot and with the mild hike/ fire/delicious stew and dessert you stay warm. The tour guide and his son were wonderful. Would recommend and do again 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟

What a fantastic experience! Snowshoeing with the goats is a must do in Quebec. Our guide Francois was amazing! So kind, knowledgeable and fun. The goats and his German shepherd dog were the best. Francois made us lunch that was delicious and to sit by the fire he made was a treat. This is one of the best tours we’ve done. Thank you Francois - you’re the best!

Hiking this trail is so fun and Francois is very knowledgeable of the area and its history. Luna and Theo were the perfect companions on our snowshoeing adventure! My wife and I loved every second.

Francois runs a great snowshoeing experience. The route is gorgeous and Francois makes sure it is safe. His historical anecdotes are interesting and give a sense of what the early explorers and settlers encountered. Lunch around the campfire was very tasty and fun. Highly recommended.

An amazing experience! Traveled with a group of 7 adults. The tour guide was very patient, helpful, accommodating and informative. His dog Luna is also a great tour leader, encouraging us to move along and the goats. Many opportunities to interact with the goats and take pictures. The scenery is absolutely gorgeous. The lunch was amazing and the homemade maple whiskey was delish!!!

It was a very lovely day for a walk by the river. The goats were very cute and the stew was très bon! Merci François :)

Such a fun experience! François was such a great guide and was very communicative before the tour. Our tour time was pushed back a few hours, but getting to snowshoe during the sunset was very pretty. His goats and dog were very engaging and super sweet. Definitely recommend this to anyone who enjoys nature and spendings some quality time outdoors with animals.

Amazing afternoon snowshoeing with Francois! Highly recommend for an outdoors activity to take in the beautiful landscape and hang out with funny goats and an incredible dog, Luna. Francois was so knowledgeable in many different areas and came fully prepared to give the group a great/fun day!
Marianne_G, Jan 2025
Great activity! The goats were adorable and super friendly. The hike was not too difficult. The guide was really interesting and he told us a lot of historical facts about the Jacques-Cartier Valley. At some point, we took a break and he got a fire going. He prepared us delicious food and drinks by the fire. We had a great time!
Leah_C, Jan 2025
This was such a unique experience. Had everyrhing we liked with hiking, the woods, goats, the dog, a fire, meal, and drinks. Great time.
