Snorkeling is great, the rest, not so much

While I am greatly unimpressed with the staff and communication from the tour group itself, Catalina is 100% the place for snorkeling. When you purchase the excursion it notes the tour time is 7:30. That is not the time the tour starts. It is the time they leave from Punta Cana. Our resort was the closest to the port at La Romana and we were picked up at 9:45. We were told via text, after we could no longer cancel, that there would be a $20 transportation fee, despite being so close to the port. We also specifically chose an English speaking tour guide, because we do not speak Spanish. I’m not sure where that guide was because we never heard English on our excursion. We simply followed what everyone else was doing and still had a great time. The snorkeling gets 5 stars, the rest get none.

Entassés dans un bateau ! Nous etions bien plus que 40 !!!! Plage degueulasse avec des détritus et chaises longue en mauvais etat . Transfert bien et repas correct

Catalina island ist wunderschön, den Rest muss man nicht haben

1. 35 Minuten Verspätung. 2. umsteigen ohne richtige orga. Man fühlte sich wie auf dem bazar. 3. irgendwann am Hafen angekommen, hatte sich das alles nochmal ziemlich gezögert. Ca. 10:30 Uhr. 4. dann ging es endlich los und die Musik wurde bis zum max. Limit hochgedreht bei schlechten Boxen. Ziemlich übertrieben! 5. für Schnorcheln war es leider an dem Tag zu wellig, ansonsten paar Fische gesehen. 6. catalina island war traumhaft! 7. essen war auch super lecker mit den Getränken. 8. zurück ging die ganze Musik wieder los. Insgesamt war catalina island sehenswert. Alles andere muss man nicht unbedingt haben!
