This tour was amazing from start to finish. Isaac was a great tour guide - he was very accommodating with any request and made sure we all had a great time. The waterfall was beautiful and swimming in the water was a once in a lifetime experience. The hike itself is very doable and not overwhelming. Highly recommend this tour to anyone who is looking for an adventure!

I can't tell how the actual waterfall hike we booked was, since we were told on the way out that the waterfall was actually quite dried up and gave us an option to go elsewhere which was a longer tour an amazing day out. Guides were great and glad we were given the option!

Victor was amazing! It was a very enjoyable hike. It is a little challenging with the rocks. The waterfall is a man made waterfall so that was only let down.

It was a positive experience. Our guide Isaac was very friendly, it was a pleasure to deal with him, I highly recommend him. It all starts with a short bus ride along the coast with beautiful views of the sea, then a short hike along the river through the forest which ends with a beautiful waterfall and a small lake where you can swim and refresh yourself. Isaac also showed us a viewing platform from which there was a beautiful view of the bay. It was nice to spend time outside of the city or on the beach.

Great change of pace for a refresh in some amazing clear water. Diego did an amazing job making sure everyone was accounted for, helped crossed the river, take photos and answer questions. Along the trail he showed us different trees and local wildlife. Great day away from the city for a couple of hours! Diego and Isaac were great!

It was so much fun! Diego was a great guide and took us down a natural rock water slide once we got to the waterfall. He also told us about the tree and plants we passed by. The seafood at the end of the hike was AMAZING. It was probably our favorite days in Puerto Vallarta

Isaac was our tour guide. Very knowledgeable of the local area and friendly guy. We traveled from with a group of 7 from downtown Puerto vallarta to Quimixto and hiked approximately 40 minutes from there to the waterfall. Aftwards we had delicious seafood lunch by the beach in quimixto. Was in Mexico for 1 week and this was the highlight of my trip. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

Wow wow wow! Isaac was an EXCEPTIONAL guide - he knew so much about the various plants and insects. The hike was magical - not too difficult - and we saw a whole new area of Puerta Vallarta. Our family would give 10 stars if we could.

Three of us (three late 20 year olds) did the experience with Juan, and Juan was the best/sweetest/well educated guide ever!!
He took us on a hike that was more rigorous than expected, but it was the best adventure. The waterfall was the most beautiful/life changing experience.

It was a little more technical than I was expecting. Normally would not be a problem, but I was dealing with plantar fasciitis at the time. Also, I was not prepared for walking through the river (probably my fault for not reading through everything?) so, we had to take off shoes and put them back on multiple times, so just wear the right kind so you can just get them wet (I wore my nice hiking shoes and orthotics 🥴.)
Oscar was awesome! He helped me with the climbing over rocks and walking barefoot. Super nice, too!
The waterfall area was a little crowded with locals, even though we went on a weekday.

I have to hand it to our guide, Rocco, and the company itself, because when we got to the meeting spot, we found out we were the only ones on the hike, and they were still accommodating to us and brought us on our tour. Rocco was an amazing guide who told us all about the area and pointed out various plants and animals all along the way. The waterfall was wonderful; very cool and refreshing, and so nice after the hike. Speaking of, the hike itself does go through streams and over rocks, so be aware of that if you're not the best hiker. We had a fantastic time though, and would highly recommend this tour for anyone who wants to get some time in the jungle.

I liked the reasonable price of this tour, which was probably made possible by using public transportation. The guide was a nice young man but if you are expecting to be entertained and Informed about PV you will probably be disappointed. One in my group was also disappointed by the trail, which in most places is a narrow cement road also used by horses and ATVs. It didn't help that we went in June, when the foliage is not lush, but that's not the company's fault. The pool is refreshing to swim in and many visitors jumped off surrounding rock cliffs. Know that the tour provides zero water and snacks. There is a restaurant at the waterfall where you can purchase food and drinks, however. Also know that you may not get beach time after climbing down to town. Our guide polled the small group and everyone seemed to want to go back, so he called for a water taxi. It was an ok trip but nothing fabulous, and a bit of a challenge going uphill for those affected by humidity

Our guide cancelled for the waterfall tour. Very disappointing. We did however get in with another group on the hidden beaches. The guide was great, the scenery outstanding. The hike was a little hard but am glad we went

Alex was so friendly and accomodating. He always made sure everyone in the group was having a good time and no one got left behind. It was our first time on a hike this intense, but we felt perfectly safe traveling in the jungle with him guiding us! Swimming at the waterfall was a refreshing treat after all the hiking, and really rejuvinating to make the trek back out easy.
Note that some parts of the hike are pretty high up and some parts with not much guards/protections if you fall. Just be aware you should be pretty good on your feet and not afraid of heights.

I enjoyed being in the forest, hiking, and seeing the river pools.
Make sure to bring water and a snack bar. The included items say a snack is provided, but we didn't get one. Not really sure about that. Wear a swimsuit under quick dry cloth for the easiest combo.
Diego and Issac, our guides were very friendly and thoughtful.

This waterfall hike was definitely a highlight of our trip! Issac, our tour guide, made this hike not only safe but also very engaging. We were able to swim in the refreshing pools beneath the waterfall and cliff jump off the surrounding rocks. If you're in Puerto Vallarta and are craving an adventure, don't miss this hike with Isaac as your guide. Such a great experience!

We waited an hour for our tour guide at the OXXO, feeling abandoned. A group member then called Viator and they sent a new tour guide to replace the one who no showed. Isaac to the rescue! The hike was beautiful and we were happy to do it even though an hour and a half in the morning was wasted. Isaac was very knowledgeable. The hike was moderately easy, although he prepared to step in water with your shoes. Water was chilly. Views were amazing. Waterfall was worth it! Bring water and snacks in a backpack as hands are needed to traverse over rocks and through the jungle.

We met at the location (early to make sure) and no one from the tour ever showed up and we had zero communication from them. Thankfully another tour guide from a competing tour company agreed to let us go on their snorkeling/hidden beach tour instead, after he tried to call this tour guide.

Last minute cancellation!!! Just 15 minutes to our meeting point when I was texted of cancellation by the local tour operator vendored by Viator.
Not only did I incur rountrip taxi fare for nothing but the whole morning wasted. No time to make other plans so my only time & day to visit Puerto Vallarta trashed as I was on cruise ship schedule.
A day’s notice would have been good as Viator repeatedly send notices of confirmation and payment. Back up or replacement operator should also be lined up so as not to waste everyone’s time & energy.

Guillermo was a great guide! We met at. The bus stop which we were familiar with… double check your location on the map some addresses look exactly the same but are not ( we learned that our first day here)
The ride was not too hot or crowded. We got off on the side of the road where the trail started and started hiking. There were 2 smaller pool on the way to swim in before you got to the larger fall
And pool. It was about 1.15 mile hike to the end one way. There are easy paths but also lots of boulders to climb and several water crossings. So a water tennis shoe with a good sole is the best. When we got to the fall we were able to swim in the pool, climb into the cave behind the falls and Even use a snorkel mask to dive to the bottom and see some of the fish in the pool!
Guillermo told us about a lot of the unusual plant life there as it is so different from home and we enjoyed learning about it. This is a great option for a half day hike that is much less touristy in my opinion. Getting to experience something more local and synthetic was amazing.

Was a big fan of this trip. It was a lot less of a "polished tourist experience" than many of the others, which made it a lot more fun. The hike's difficulty was a little higher than I expected, but very manageable.
The highlight was the large waterfall and pool where we could cliff dive, swim, and even swim into and under the waterfall.
