We were picked up right from our hotel. JC was our driver, who was super friendly from the start. He gave us a tour of PV. Showing us amazing views, and let us know about all the areas of PV. He took us to a shopping spot and to a restaurant that had amazing seafood! We would definitely recommend JC to give you a tour!

Pickups are at 9:00AM or 10:00 AM: We pick you up anywhere in Banderas Bay. Our tours generally begin at your hotel lobby, residence of choice, including cruise ship visits at P.V. terminals, or selected villas. Please note that we operate on Jalisco local time (Pacific Time Zone).

What to Bring: Comfortable footwear and light clothing, medication (if needed), sunscreen and/or a hat, and a camera or smartphone.
Don't Forget to Bring Cash: Either USD, CAD or MXN pesos. This helps with tips and spontaneous purchases or extra activities you may choose during the tour. Some local treasures of Puerto Vallarta may only accept cash.

Great tour. If you are interested in the city and surrounding areas this is a good tour. The guide was very well organized and paced. We never felt rushed and we saw some amazing views that I don’t think most tours would be able to do. The lunch stop was so good. Food and service was great. The tequila tour was really good. There are stops to buy touristy stuff which I think every tour does. We thought it was worth every penny

Not shopping than sight seeing

First, the tour guide, Tomas, was a nice man. Knowledgeable. That was about the extent of the good ness part. Our guide somehow picked up the wrong family, so we were left in the pier for about 45 minutes. All of the stops were pushing to buy something. Anything. Jewelry stop was about 2 minutes of jewelry lesson, and 30 minutes of buy something. Coffee place was three minutes about coffee, and 30 minutes of buying something. Lunch was crazy expensive - $300 for our family to eat OK fajitas. And that is not included in the price… I would steer clear of this one. You are paying for a glorified shopping trip for things you didn’t ask for. Not a good one at all.

These stops are never mandatory purchases, and all guests are free to browse, skip, or simply enjoy the demonstrations. • Lunch Location: Puerto Vallarta has a wide range of dining options, from casual to high-end. Guests are always free to choose their preferred restaurant, and lunch is not included specifically to allow that flexibility. At Obi Tours, we take pride in offering personalized, safe, and culturally rich private experiences—never “forced shopping”—and we are disappointed that your experience felt different. That being on a wheelchair or handicapped is not s hindrance to explore the beauty of the place. Anyone could be accommodated and tour could be modified accordingly. Obed of Obi Tours is so helpful and very understanding to my daughter’s needs. He made sure we were comfortable and enjoying throughout the trip and most of all very safe. We had an incredible time on the City Tour in Puerto Vallarta! Liz & Obi were awesome from start to finish. They picked us up directly from our hotel and even dropped us off afterward—super convenient! One of the best parts was that they were taking pictures throughout the tour, which was included in the price. It was so nice to have those memories captured without any extra cost. Obi’s knowledge of Puerto Vallarta’s history and Mexico in general was absolutely amazing. He talked about the culture, the landmarks, and the history almost non-stop, and had an answer for every question we threw at him. You could tell they both really love what they do and are passionate about sharing their knowledge. Highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Puerto Vallarta. You won’t be disappointed!

Daniel was amazing!

Daniel was an incredible tour guide. Extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and considerate of what we were looking for out of the experience. We told him we were interested in seeing the bright colors of the city and see art, so he made sure there was plenty of time for that. He also took us to two places where we could buy handmade jewelry and leather bags, even introducing us to the people who actually made them. I highly recommend this tour, we learned so much about the city that we never would have known on our own.

Fascinating tour

The distance from the ship to the port entrance is a very long walk. Free trams are available to ride but wait times are long. Joel was an informative knowledgeable enthusiast guide. Angel was a careful, skillful driver on the steep and narrow streets. We always felt safe. The tour covered the city and area in great comprehensive detail. It was fascinating and beautiful. It included the old and new and the scenic beauty of setting of Puerto Vallarta. It is impossible to see it all and we were given the options to pick what we wanted to see.

This is a fabulous way to see Puerto Vallarta. Arranging the tour was easy and they were very responsive with details pre -tour. They met us easily as we disembarked from the ship. Our tour guide Tommy had a beautiful luxurious van for our private tour of four. He was very informative and gave us a fabulous overview of PV. We would highly recommend this method of sightseeing in PV. Don’t hesitate if you want a special private tour at a very reasonable price.

The best customizable private tour

Obi tours was amazing. We were picked up at our hotel right on time. We chose this tour because it was private and customizable. We love to see and eat where the locals go and learn about the history of the locals. We stopped at a local coffee shop, which was amazing, We had the best tacos at a small restaurant, we learned so much about the city, and went to a tequila tasting, where we bought a couple bottles of flavored tequila. We spent 6 hours with Obi and felt like we were with our best friend. We laughed so much throughout the day. We enjoyed our tour so much that we booked a second tour with him before we got back to our resort. I highly recommend Obi tours. I promise you will not be disappointed.

Lunch was too expensive

Obi and his wife are great tour guides. They took us places we wish to see and very very gracious. The van was comfortable and air conditioned and they had water and drinks available. The lower rating is for the lunch. Th restaurant served good food but is way to expensive. The gave choice for lunch that was for 2 or 3 people that cost between $60 and $65 dollars, then you find out the drinks are not included which added another $20 to the bill. The lunch would have been OK at the price if the drinks were included. So each couple with us spent around $85 plus tip making it around $100 a couple. That is the same price we paid for the whole tour. Lunch should not cost as much as the tour. They need to find a better restaurant with lower prices or keep the price lower by including drinks.

I can not tell you how great this tour was. I was honestly a little reluctant but my travel buddy has never been here before, so I said I’d go! When I tell you this tour was amazing, I mean amazing!! Obi our tour guide was so laid back but professional, very knowledgeable, his Eglish is perfect and to top it off, he is fun. Our lunch was literally incredible and if you love seafood, you will love it. The platters are enough for 3 people and margaritas to die for. Obi had a great itenarary that highlighted all the cool things to do and see. I think a great addition to this trip was that Obi captured pictures of us along the way. What great memories for us to remember. Another perk of touring with Obi is that he’s flexible and willing to take you places that may not be on his itenarary that you want to visit. Hands down the best and most reasonable private tour ever!!!

A day of Paradise in Puerto Vallarta

The entire day was fantastic! Choosing the private tour was the best way to see the city with Obi Tours! Obi, our tour guide was so knowledgeable, fun and made the day enjoyable! We were able to see all the special locations, eat fresh coconut, shop the jewelry stores and learn how it was made and ate lunch at a local restaurant with great food! Would highly recommend using Obi Tours anytime when you want a tour!

Completely personalized all day luxury!

Thomas was an absolute dream! It was a very hot day and he made sure that we had fresh cold bottles of water all day. He asked us what we wanted to do and catered our entire day around it. We mainly wanted to do some shopping of which he took us to the best spots with great deals. He also knew so much history about the town, which was fascinating. He took us to two different taco spots when we got hungry — one fish and one al Pastor, which were some of the best tacos I’ve ever had (growing up in Southern California, I have high standards). Overall, it was the highlight of our trip and we can’t wait to come back!

Really enjoyed Vicha showing us all around. He was very accomodating and flexible! On time and easy to reach. I would recommend this tour if you have a limited amount of time.

We took the Puerto Vallarta city tour as part of a company retreat. Obi was expert at managing our large (13 members) group and even adjusted the timing and route of the your to accommodate our requests. His insights and facts were incredibly informative and in-depth, and the sights were fascinating. Liz was wonderful as well and we look forward to seeing the pictures she took.
