Overview
If you want an alternative view of life under the sea, consider this paddling adventure aboard a transparent kayak. You'll spot all sorts of marine creatures as you make your way around Mangrove Cay, such as turtles, stingrays, and even small sharks. You'll also get the chance to learn about some of the other creatures that call the cay home, including rock iguanas and a wide variety of birds.

Our tour with Mikey was great! We first made our way to Iguana Island. On the way Mikey found us a conch shell that we could view up close. On Iguana Island Mikey told us all about the rock iguana and took photos of each group for us. Then we headed to the mangrove where he pointed out LOTS of turtles and different fish (barracuda, bone fish, cow fish, jellyfish). He was really good at making sure each boat got a view of each animal. On the way back in he also spotted a lemon shark and even though the shark was on the move he made sure everyone could see it. Overall I would highly recommend this tour!

Cute tour. Lots of turtles big and small and even a baby lemon shark. They pull you to the mangroves then u paddle, then they pull you to Iguana Island. Good for people who can’t row far.

This is a pretty big operation and lots of other kayakers will be with you. We expected to be in inland waterways, but instead paddled around (and across) main channels. We did see some turtles, but the time at Lizard Island was a waste- there were lizards, yes, but only a handful. We’ve probably seen as many during our stay on the island this week as we saw during our kayak tour. There are better excursions.

Our kayak tours can include both mangrove areas and open channels depending on tides and conditions. During this time of year, the island is quite busy across all tour operators, which can result in more guests on the water.
While we can’t control wildlife sightings, our team works hard to ensure every guest has a great time. We hope to see you again!

Cancelled at last minute stating it was due to bad weather. Sunny blue skies and a beautiful day so not sure what was going on.

The decision to cancel was based on the weather forecast at the time, which indicated a very high chance of rain and potential thunderstorms. The day prior, we experienced similar conditions where guests were caught in the rain, so we made the call with safety and overall experience in mind.
While it did turn out to be sunny later on, weather conditions on the island can change quickly and unpredictably. We always rely on forecasts to make the safest and most responsible decision for our guests and crew.
We truly apologize for the inconvenience this caused and appreciate your understanding.

We had the most AMAZING experience on the clear kayak Iguana Island mangrove tour! From start to finish, everything was absolutely perfect. The clear kayaks made it so fun to see straight down into the water—such a unique and unforgettable way to explore the mangroves. We saw so many sea turtles.
Our tour guide, Gene, truly made the whole experience next level. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and had the best energy the entire time. He pointed out so much wildlife we would have completely missed on our own and made sure everyone felt comfortable and had a great time.
Iguana Island was beautiful, and seeing the iguanas up close was such a cool bonus! This tour is a must-do if you’re in Turks and Caicos. Highly recommend—and if you get Gene as your guide, you’re in for the BEST time!

We really enjoyed our tour. The transfers from/to our hotel were seamless. Our guide was engaging and informative. The walk on iguana island was interesting and the kayaking through the mangroves was amazing. The tour had a relaxed pace, which was nice as we didn’t rush around from place to place. Definitely worth the cost of the tour.

Great very low key experience with Bensley. We saw a ton of turtles, live conch and a baby lemon shark on the mangrove tour. Iguana island was a fun little side trip. Would highly recommend !

What a great trip! Moderate amount of exercise involved, but our guide towed us to the mangrove bay and then iguana island. We saw lots of turtles, cool jellyfish, conch, lemon sharks, a stingray, bonefish and of course iguanas! Highly recommend! Daniel was an amazing guide, and Tony was kind enough to drop us back at the hotel.

Nice tour, kayaking in the mangroves was the just right amount of paddling. Tour director gave a lot of information about the marine life which was interesting. We saw sea turtles, lemon sharks, upside down jellyfish, and many iguanas.

This was such a relaxing, interesting and fun tour. I’ve taken a few different kayak tours, over my visits here, and they were all good but this was my favorite. Daniel was a great guide who was very informative and personal. It was nice that half of the time he pulled the kayaks, through the water, and we didn’t have to work so hard. Enjoyed Iguana Island. They have really built it up. We got to see giant turtles, stingrays, a giant barracuda, and each of us held a baby jellyfish!

The kayak experience was fun and easily a highlight of our trip. Smith was our “guide” which was very minimal compared to other guides we encountered along the way. Just not very clear or educational. More “There’s a turtle.”
Outfit picked us up from the Zenza which was fantastic even though they were 15 minutes late.

We had an excellent time experiencing the wildlife on this tour. It started with the zodiak pulling us across the channel to igwana island to see a host of creatures. We then we're again pulled to the entrance of the mangroves and started paddling on our own following our guide, Mikey. He pointed out many creatures including jelly fish, baby reef sharks, barracuda, and lots of turtles. After a nice tour in the mangroves we cooled off in the water and then we were towed back to land.
I highly recommend this tour and hope you also get Mikey as your guide.

Great experience. We saw lots of turtles! Also saw a baby lemon shark. Held a huge crab on Iguana Island. Also held a small jellyfish and live conch shells. Highly recommend.
