Pick-Up Information We provide pick-up directly from your Port Douglas accommodation. Alternatively, you can meet us at Wildlife Habitat Port Douglas or Club Mossman. Please select your preferred pick-up location when booking, or contact us at least 24 hours before your tour if you need to update your details. Pick-ups begin in the Port Douglas CBD from 12:50pm. Please be ready outside your accommodation by this time. Depending on our schedule, we may arrive a few minutes later at your location. Important: We do not offer pick-ups from Cairns.

Highly recommended this tour! Mike our tour guide collected us from our accommodation and headed to Mossman. This place is truly beautiful!! The swim in the crystal clear water was the highlight for me! So refreshing. Mike was very informative and knows a lot of history about the area. Next was the river tour, this was enjoyable, seeing the wildlife (and a few crazy locals). At the end of the day, Mike dropped us off at our accommodation. Highly recommend this tour! Well worth it.

This is a full day of adventure! Dave is a great host and he will give you an amazing insight and knowledge about Queensland as you travel. I definitely recommend bringing bathers as you do visit a goregous place to swim in Mossman gorge if the weather conditions are right

Had a great ride to see the crocs in their natural habitat, and an excellent dip in the Daintree swimming spot (complete with sand beach & river bottom). Daniel had lots of info for us at every step in the tour.

For a 4 hour tour all you get is a boat ride along the river where you may spot one or two crocodiles and a walk to the gorge

Thanks for the review. Just a quick note to say that if we did possess a time machine, I could indeed make the tour shorter, but alas we haven't been able to find one yet.
It does take just under an hour to get from Port Douglas up to the Daintree River for a one hour river cruise. During this drive, your guide will give you all sorts of information about the area that you are driving through, from the history, to the harvesting of the sugar cane, and everything in between. You will either get morning tea after the cruise, or a beer, wine, soft drink or water and a snack depending if you are doing the morning or afternoon tour.
It is then a half hour drive down to Mossman Gorge where we spend another hour or so for an interpretive rainforest walk and time for a swim in the crystal clear waters of the gorge itself. Then about a twenty minute drive back home.
So there it is. The tour is actually longer than 4 hours, and yes, part of that is driving. I will keep my eyes open on Gumtree for that elusive time machine to try and quicken it up, but in the meantime, sit back, enjoy the ride and immerse yourself in the stories and information from your guide for the day.

We had a lovely day that was well timed to see the crocodiles with Bob who knew exactly where to take us on the Daintree. Then Daniel took us to the Mossman George which was beautiful. We did an afternoon half day tour which was enough but if you want more time to explore do the full day tour.

We really enjoyed the our Daintree forest and river experience. The Mossman Gorge springs were so beautiful and fresh. We a refreshing swim. The driver of the bus was knowledgeable but I took offence to a comment he made to me in front of other passengers. He asked me to put my seat belt on which I was about to do anyway (not everyone was even on the bus yet) but he pulled out a seat belt extension and said I could use it. This was for on the drive back. I wore the seatbelt with no extension strap on the way there. Meanwhile half the bus didn't even wear their seatbelts. I was so upset, it really did hurt my feelings. It did spoil my experience.

Wonderful afternoon we were only able to see one small baby crocodile in the Daintree but the ride was beautiful and fun anyway. Mossman Gorge was beautiful would have liked more time to go on a longer walk but it was still an amazing afternoon out

Our guide Matthew was awesome! He shared a lot of information about Australian culture and made funny jokes throughout the drive to Daintree. The Mossman Gorge was stunning! We could have easily spent another couple hours there without getting bored.

Adam and team did a wonderful job on our half day trip. Well planned per the schedule. We had a good crocodile sighting at the daintree river cruise. The rainforest was well explained by Adam and he also got us a sighting of the dragon lizard and a cassowary bird. If you are looking for a half Day trip at the daintree and mosman gorge, definitely reccomend the same.

Tour went smoothly from pick up to drop off. Driver was very friendly full of great stories. Daintree River was amazing seeing such magnificent creatures including crocodiles and bird life. We were able to take many memorable photos and listened to the tour operators incredible knowledge about the Daintree River. The Mossman Gorge was very tranquil and quiet full of many walking tracks, the opportunity to experience the cool water of the stream and seeing huge boulders which created an even more spectacular series of rapids.
Thoroughly enjoyed it from start to finish.

Our tour guide Mel was very good but maybe we went in with higher expectations of what might be encountered. Mossman Gorge was good, great scenery in a pristine environment. The lower Daintree River Tour was a bit of a dissapointment, once again maybe our expectations were to high.

It was too rushed the boat trip was great and the George was spectacular.
The Guide push us along and could of not take everything in.
We were aloud 15 minutes at the water hole before we had to go which was disappointing.

The guides and drivers were amazing. Very knowledgeable people and I wish I was better with names so as I could actually name them. Magnificent.
The Mossman Gorge was so tranquil and beautiful. The water was so clear and peaceful and the surrounds were just beautiful. Nature in its full glory.
The Daintree River Cruise, again the surrounds, amazing and to see the crocodiles I the wild was an experience I’ll never forget.
