This is my first ever trip to Cancun and it was also my birthday. What an awesome way to celebrate. Our guide was highly knowledgeable and extremely patient with my aging parents who were with me since we traveled to a family member's wedding before heading to Cancun. Tulum is beautiful; the remnants of a gorgeous seaside community of Mayan elite; and Cobá is impressive. Every bit as impressive as any European castle or fortress. Unfortunately, we didn't get to do the cenote swim because the weather was bad, but we enjoyed our delicious buffet lunch at the cenote restaurant and playing with the restaurant owners' new puppy. She's feisty! Thank you, Karma Trails for making this one of the best birthdays I've ever had.

A very well planned itinerary with pick up at our hotel, all entrance fees and buffet lunch (but not drinks) included. Tulum is very crowded but Coba less so. Both different and enjoyable. We skipped the cenote swim because our kids were tired but the guide took us to a honey store instead. Great to have that flexibility as a family traveling with young children.

Wonderful day sightseeing with Pedro! He was both knowledgeable and entertaining! Explored both Tulum and Cabo for a great Mexican Mayan experience. Lunch was delicious! Ended the day cooling off in a refreshing gorgeous cenote! Our day was filled with laughter! Highly recommend the private tour experience!

Glad we saw both archeological sites; Koba was our favorite. The bicycles are a lovely surprise. Salvador was awesome! We felt safe and appreciated all the history as well as the ability to set our own pace. It made for a long day, but well worth it!

Amazing time seeing the ruins inCoba and Tulum. These sites were less crowded and just as impressive as Chichen Itza. After a larger tour with others it was a treat to be just the two of us. Salvador was a great knowledgeable guide.

Salvador is very nice tour guy, he is very organized people, he plan our time very tight. He did a great job in providing the history behind the ruins. Because we were a smaller group, it felt very personalized and we didn’t miss a beat in anything that we experienced. Make sure to take cash for gratuity. Loved this tour!!

Captain Snake (Ketzketuwan,..i more than likely got that wrong) was a fantastic guide. Very knowledgeable in the history and differences of Tulum and Coba ruins. He has a great personality and is very friendly. We had the best pork tacos ever,…the tortillas were delish. Indulged us by stopping at a local shop to buy memorabilia. He brought the culture to life for us. I would definitely recommend Viator and this guide to anyone.

Our guide, Ramone, was very knowledgeable. He gave us so much extra information. Both sites were amazing and we are very glad we chose this tour instead of Chichén Itzá. Very authentic and Coba was shaded, which was welcome on a hot, sticky summer day! The cenote was refreshing and totally different from the other cenote we had been to.

The day was awesome! Highly recommend this excursion that we took from Cancun. It’s about an hour and a half drive to Tulum. A lot of walking around Tulum but very beautiful ruins on the coast. Then another 45 min drive to Coba. Coba is a treat. Not a very busy touristy place like Tulum. Hidden in the jungle. The bike ride to the tall ruins was an added bonus. Lots of walking but we loved it. Then lunch at a local Maya restaurant right at Coba. Shopping available at both Tulum and Coba. Whole day was about 8 and a half hours with some shopping. Lunch was delicious. Best meal we had in Mexico. After lunch, was about a 2 hour return trip to the hotel. Wonderful day. Ask for Taco, fantastic tour. He’s very knowledgeable and just awesome!!! You won’t regret this! The added privacy of just your group is additionally great! You will get some exercise but the ruins are worth the trip!

The car never came and only notified us after 50mins after we were suppose to be picked. Was disappointed we were unable to go.

This was very comfortable trip) Very nice guide Captain Snake) he answered all questions, he really loves history of Maya. He also recommended us an amazing restaurant for our dinner the next day. My mom is 72, so private tour allowed us avoid crowds and have rest whenever we need) thank you! The van is very comfortable. The price is decent.

We were all set for the tour, waiting for the bus, 10,20,30 minutes, but bus never showed up😡.We came from all the way California for this tour and we didn't make it because of you guys. We couldn't book with any other company because it was too late. Your local company didn't care to let us know that they won't be able to pick up us.

This was the best tour and well worth the money - we were so lucky to have had Taco” as our guide - everything was beyond our imagination. Guide was on time at our hotel and we started the day with a big smile and a warm greeting from our tour guide Enrique Takeo Manzo “Taco” then a drive from Cancun to Tulum. “Taco” from the start we talked about many many things on our drive. He was so easy to talk to and his English is perfect - he also speaks fluent French - Once at Tulum Taco navigated is around all the crowds and he began teaching us about the Mayan seaport. It was obvious from the start that Taco is passionate about the history of the Yucatán Peninsula and he is so knowledgeable about history of the Maya culture and the legacy they left as well as the Maya culture that is still very much alive today.
Coba was sensational as well beautiful jungle we took the greatest bike ride out to the ruins through the jungle stopping at many archaeological sites - after Coba we ate at a local restaurant - amazing food!
The day was great and I feel very fortunate that Taco was our guide - request him when you book you won’t be disappointed.

Great experience, and well worth going with the private guide. Takeo (Taco) had excellent language skills and a wide range of knowledge about the historical/cultural sites we visited. Definitely worth visiting Tulum early in the day, as Taco insisted on, as there was a huge line waiting by the time we were leaving! Tulum and Coba were each unique, and easily visited in a day. Also visited a nearby Cenote and great restaurant. The private tour allowed for some flexibility to stop at a couple shops along the driving route, and spending as much or as little time as we wanted at each attraction.

Wonderful private tour with Efram (we might not spell his name correctly). He seemed very knowledgeable and was a very nice guy. It is worth the extra cost to us to avoid the crowded tour buses and to have a guide who answers all of our questions.

I can absolutely say that despite the actual attractions being closed these guys made it happen regardless! We were able to see far passed just Tulum and Coba, we got on a boat and saw it all!!!! I really appreciate the photos and videos that captured the moment for me and my spouse and I would most definitely recommend.

Super Fun and really educational. Salvador was great! He knew so much and shared his extensive knowledge.
Lunch buffet was good although I wasn't expecting much....but definitely worth it after the climb of the main Coba Temple.

Simply put this was an awesome trip! We booked via Viator before arriving in Cancun. Our guide Gabriel showed up exactly on time at the hotel and drove us to Tulum and Coba. He and his family were from the area and extremely knowledgeable in Mayan history and places. We had an absolutely fantastic day and can highly recommend him!

Our guide Gabriel was so knowledgeable and shared some very interesting stories and antidotes about Mexico and the Mayan civilization! We LOVED this private Tulum/Cenote/Coba tour with Gabriel. He was prompt picking us up, professional, friendly, and a safe driver. He had so much knowledge about the sites and about Mayan history and he was a pleasure to spend the day with. In fact, after doing another tour during our trip through another company (arranged by Viator) where the logistics were less than ideal, we vowed that when we return to Mexico, we will specifically request Gabriel and only Gabriel! (Is it obvious we liked Gabriel?). The day we visited Tulum was very hot and mobbed with tourists, and he made sure to find shaded locations to talk to us about the history. He had helpful visual aids and seemed to know more than the average tour guide. At Coba, he talked to us for the right amount of time and then suggested we bike up to the ruins. We were never pressured for time but also never felt like he was talking too much or too little. And on the way home, we passed a ceramics store that we wanted to visit that he stopped for. It was a really ideal day, and we have no hesitation recommending Gabriel, and his company, to anyone!
