This four-hour hike was a really memorable experience! We hiked 6 km through dense jungle terrain, learning about the native plants and animals along the way. Our guide spoke excellent English and kept us safe. Please note, there is some steep climbing and tons of unsure footing. Participants should be reasonably athletic! We ended up at a swimming hole with a beautiful waterfall. We were also taken to a local restaurant for lunch afterwards. All in all, would definitely recommend!

A few steep slopes, rocky stretches and fallen tress to get over or under. All of this adds to the hiking fun in a gorgeous and protected rainforest. Thanks also for the recommendation!

Nice walk in the woods

Nice shortish walk in the jungle which takes about 3 hours. Basic fitness required. The guides provide good information on local plant and insect life and you get the opportunity to swim in some fresh streams/ponds with amazing waterfalls.

Be prepared, but top trip!

Its a hike, so be prepared with ok shoes and bring some basic hiking skills and fitness with you. My son is 9 and had no problems what so ever, but he is used to walking. With this in mind, I can only recomend this trip!!!

Children often go quite easily over the obstacles of this trail, but some endurance is necessary, as it takes . to 4 hours to finish the hike. Not too demanding trail. Walking on a slow pace. Nice dip to refresh in waterfall, nature sounds. Lovely guide and friend dog keeping us safe through the hike. Not overcrowded with tourists and sense of wilderness.

A good trip to the rain forest

The rain forest is extremely humid and there will be watercourses to cross so your feet are likely to get wet. Take a change of shorts and a fresh T shirt. you may also want to take fresh socks and a small towel if you go swimming. Beach shoes could be a goo idea as well for swimming in the river. Be aware that the paths can be rough and slippy.

Amazing adventure

100% recommend this hike. Very interesting trail with on the spot improvisations of different ways to get over obstacles that made it very fun and interesting like a game (like a fallen huge tree barricading the way, a snake, and fire ants) Our guide Pui was just amazing. She handled all the challenges we faced with ease and helped with tips and tricks. She was also very knowledgeable on all creatures we encountered in the forest and she would also look out while hiking for insects and animals to point out for us. Very much enjoyed this hike and would even go a second time if I come to Phuket again.

Terrible experience with this group and THIS app in general. After reading the reviews we were excited. I came down with a severe case of gastro the night before, needing URGENT medical attention. On a compassionate level they should have refunded our money, we provided all medical certificates. They replied the APP VIATOR needed to refund us, to contact the app, yet also offered us another date. When we requested a letter from them we could lodge with our travel insurance, they told us to “screen shot the text message “ I get it’s a 24 hr cancellation but I also understand they are happy to keep our money, even under compassionate circumstances.

Dear Giselle, you booked the day before the tour at 01.00 pm, you canceled at 09.00 pm. At that time, we had made all arrangements for the next day, booked guides and vans. Especially with our small groups, 2 people less make a big difference. We offered you to change the date of the booking without extra charge, which you declined. We informed you to contact your travel insurance with the medical certificate ( which we never saw) and your booking details, where the cancellation policy is clearly shown. We confirmed that we would not refund writing on Whatsapp and on the Viator messaging board through email communication. Still now, you can use this written confirmation to contact your travel insurance.

Great hike in the national park. Loved the woods path. A bit slow for the serious hiker and falls and creek beds are near dry now in the dry season. Bina was a great guide.

The dry season in Phuket this year turns out to be an extremely dry one. This should change very soon, as most years April gets already quite some rain. As for the walking speed: our guides try to apply a speed that is enjoyable for all participants. Slower speed also allows for more opportunities to see wildlife. Not worth it! Unless you really love hiking in a jungle. 4 hours of fairly difficult hiking with too many long smoke breaks led by thr tour guide Wit and no wildlife, not even birds! We could hear the monkeys from far away though. They all played with a giant non venomous spider. It was pretty but not that memorable. We swam in the waterfall at the end for about 15min. It was refreshing and nice but not that big or exciting. Maybe it’s better in the rainy season! The restaurant at the end was whatever.

This activity is in Phuket's biggest national park and protected rainforest, perfect for people who love hiking in the jungle as you say, and also for those who like to discover the tropical rainforest. There is quite a lot of small ( for some people maybe unspectacular) wildlife, like iguana, cicada, termites, spiders, lanternflies etc., that our guides will try to spot and show to the participants. Birds are not often seen inside the forest, rather at the edge of it. The monkeys you heard are probably Gibbon apes, there are over 30 of them living in the forest. The 2 waterfalls of the park are very small at this time of the year. The dry season this year also turns out to be an extremely dry one, but a refreshing plunge is still possible at this moment. The forest definitely is more lively during the rainy season. However, the dry trail now is easier, and wildlife has to get out of its hiding places to find water. The restaurant is not your average tourist restaurant: an indoor 'streetfood' style eatery, very popular with locals and with a wide selection of spicy and non-spicy authentic Thai dishes. It is a pity that the Phuket rainforest has disappointed you, but I hope we can welcome you again one day on one of our tours to give you a satisfying local and active holiday experience

Guide was informative though english was limited. Need some level of fitness for this activity. Would have been better if there were 2 guides..one in front and one at the back. Kao, the guide dog, was the hero of the day!

But we always try to keep the pace reasonable for everyone, the main goal if the tour is to enjoy the tropical rainforest. As for the 2 guides: we always try to keep the groups small, for your safety and comfort. On your day, it was a group of 6 people. Our guides are well trained to handle that size of group. Great experience

Beautiful nature and scenery with a great and knowledgeable local guide, Bina. Walked 6 km in 4 hours surrounded by dense vegetation and wildlife. The journey began at Ton Sai waterfall and culminated with a refreshing bath at Bang Pae waterfall. A few 10-minute stops were made along the way. Exceeded my expectations. Highly recommended for anyone with some degree of physical fitness and an appreciation of the beauty nature has to offer.

This jungle trek was awesome! Our tour guide Pui was excellent and very knowledgeable about the plants and wildlife in the area! We were able to swim in 2 waterfalls along the way which was a great way to cool off. Lunch was delicious as well. Overall a great experience!

What a fantastic day. After one of our party had to drop out before we started, it ended up with just me and my friend, ably helped by a great guide, Piki (forgive me if I have spelt his name wrong!). Piki was friendly, informative but also reassuringly protective of our welfare - that was good as it was our first time in a jungle and there are lots of hazards to look out for: spiky plants for example. The jungle itself was magical, so much to see and so much life all around. We saw some very interesting small wildlife (inc snakes and a colourful spider) and loved the dip in the waterfall pool at the end. It was hard work but very manageable for someone with general fitness. The Thai meal at the end was in an open fronted restaurant on a busy street but probably the most authentic local food I had in the entire holiday. Absolutely fantastic and you felt you had earned it! I would heartily recommend this trip.

Highlight of our trip!

This tour was the highlight of our two week Phuket holiday! Our guide Phooi (sorry probably spelt wrong!) was knowledgeable, polite and well spoken. The park was stunningly beautiful with soaring bamboo, multiple waterfalls, little creeks and many interesting insects and fungi to check out along the way. We took plenty of breaks but its still a strenuous hike over uneven terrain - a great challenge in the hear! Two bottles of water per person are supplied, highly recommend taking another one or two with you as you will sweat A LOT! We loved swimming in the watering hole, it was a refreshing treat just after the half way point of our hike. Be prepared to get your shoes wet as you cross multiple streams to reach the final destination. Lunch supplied is DELISHIOUS! We wished we could have kept going for the afternoon - such a wonderful morning hike! Thank you!

An absolute must for nature lovers away from the big tourism

In advance, the arrangement and booking worked great. By transfer from the hotel we arrived at the meeting point. There, the guides gave us briefly the most important information and drinks. Good shoes, a small backpack and swimming gear are recommended. In the national park you feel like in the jungle. On small paths, some of which go steeply uphill or downhill, you can marvel at the exotic plant life. Our guide Juri is very competent and could tell us a lot about the animal and plant world, show and explain, even fluently in several languages. Relaxed and uncomplicated he led us through the very small jungle trails. It was exciting and thrilling and also a bit exhausting. But there were regular short breaks with the possibility to shower and bathe under a waterfall. In between there were bananas and a delicious rice snack. At the end of the hike we got a delicious lunch in a nice Thai restaurant on the edge of the national park. We were totally thrilled by everything and can only recommend this tour!

Phuket jungle trek

My husband and I did this tour on Tuesday. Our guide was lovely and very helpful. Unfortunately my husband felt quite dizzy and felt like he was going to faint. He is very fit, so this was unusual. Our guide ended up walking us back to the start and our driver very kindly drove us back to the hotel. Turns out my husband had a tummy bug and wasn’t very well. We walked with a gorgeous couple from the Netherlands. They were very understanding and helpful too.

We were thoroughly enjoyed our hike and the trails and all the beauty that we saw. Joris, our guide was very informative, approachable, accommodating and great to listen to, he had great stories, he did so well to bring a group together with 3 different languages and the little of our Thai energy bars and to finish off with a nice lunch in a hidden gem called Phuket Noodles
