- Please bring sunglasses, a hat, sunscreen, a thin coat or rain gear, photographic equipment, personal medicines, and dry clothing. Most importantly wear comfortable walking shoes and bring a power adapter if it's required. Itinerary may slightly change due to weather or major events
- Please store your large suitcase and luggage at your hotel(most of Perth hotels allow you store luggage after check out, please check with your hotel), carry on suitcases and Backpacks are fine, this is strict, we may reject you from boarding on the bus without refund if this policy is not followed.
- Please note that Pink Lake is a natural phenomenon, it changes all year round due to seasonal conditions, temperature and Sunlight. In Summer time (from mid December could be earlier to end of March), It will be showing salt pan and water at the same time. The higher the temperature is, less water there will be in the lake.
- The standard room has 1 large double bed and 1 single bed suit 2 or 3 people. Family room for 3 people is limited depending on availability, please ask upon booking.
- For 2 and 3 people's booking, you will be provided one room only, family rooms are limited depending on availability.
- The pickup message will be sent two days before departure. Please make sure to read the message before going on the tour.
- Hotel information must be provided to us for pickup 7 days before departure. The eligible hotels should have the post codes as 6000, 6003, 6004, 6005
- We normally stay at Kalbarri Palm Resort, on occassions, we may stay in Geraldton if the accommodation in Kalbarri is not available
- This tour/activity will have a maximum of 11 travelers

Robert was our guide cum driver for this 2D1N pink lake and kalbarri tour. We totally enjoyed his company. He is a very experienced tour guide. Tour was well organised and there were enough toilet breaks. He takes the time to explain things clearly even though he is behind the wheel driving. Even though the weather wasn't so fantastic with heavy rain falls here and there. That didn't dampen our spirits. I would highly recommend this tour.

2day excursion through WA. Rob gave great detailed information for each site we visited. We enjoyed our stay in Kalbarri. Lots of kangaroos and emu. Worth the 2 days.

It’s extremely disappointing and unprofessional experience endured during the 2-Day Pink Lake Tour (Booking Reference: BR-1258080413). Last-Minute Flight Rescheduling Without Notice:
- After double-confirming the flight timing with both Viator and the tour agency, we booked an 8:00 AM flight with Nationwest Aviation, expecting to arrive by 9:00 AM to seamlessly join the tour.
- Without any prior notice, the flight was rescheduled to 9:00 AM—we were only informed at 8:30 AM at the airport, leaving us stranded outside in cold wind from 7:10 AM to 8:00 AM with no assistance.
2. Rude, Aggressive, and Unprofessional Conduct by Agency Staff (Lei):
- The tour driver dropped us at the airport at 7:10 AM, assuring us of a pickup at 9:30 AM (which aligned with the original 9:00 AM arrival).
- we asked other passengers from the same flight took us to Kalbarri Motor Hotel to meet the whole group, we arrived 10:10AM. Lei from the agency became hostile, unreasonable, and refused to listen to our explanation. Despite our phone having no signal on the highway, she repeatedly called and messaged us, adopting an aggressive tone and unjustly blaming us for the airline’s scheduling error.
- She demanded compensation for a 1-hour delay—even though:
- The lunch schedule was unaffected.
- We arrived in Perth on time (7:15 PM) as planned.
- Her behavior was unacceptable: she threatened us (see attached messages), did not treat us as valued clients, and completely ruined our Pink Lake experience.
As a long-term Sydney resident (15+ years), I have never encountered such appalling customer service. This reflects poorly on both the agency and Viator’s reputation

The trip was well organized, especially given the fact that Kalbarri is ~700 km North of Perth. The tour captain, Michael, was vey accommodative, knowledgeable and did excellent job at managing a group of 11 tourists, all from SE Asia and North Asia. The 1-night stay at Kalbarri was nice.

My daughter and I took this tour specifically to see the Pink Lake/ Hutt Lagoon and we were not disappointed. And as promised our driver Robert (Rob) made sure we had two opportunities to spend time there. In fact Rob really helped make the trip run smoothly. It's a long long drive to Kalbarri and you really feel that on day one (the lobster shack is not to be missed tho) but day two is packed with amazing sights. Rob kept us on track, informed and ahead of the crowds. If I could change anything, it would be to have a chance to paddle in the Indian ocean which tantalisingly we kept seeing stunning views of all along the way! But on the whole a great chance to cover a huge chunk of outback, on the road (which i wouldnt fancy doing that drive myself in two days) with a skillful driver.

Very fulfilling and smooth trip and we managed to check off all the tourist spots and natural scenery we wished to visit. Driver was very helpful and his driving was competent but he appeared a bit tired on day 2 after hours of driving under extremely hot weather. It would be prudent to make sure that he gets enough rest / break / hydration to perform his duty under the blazing sun. Also, food portion at the restaurant needs to be larger to feed the average male. Accommodation at Palm Resort Kalbarri was very decent with cute kangaroos hopping on the adjacent lawn. Overall it was a memorable trip and we do recommend it to those visiting WA!

Great trip and accommodation. John was very professional. We enjoyed visiting all places mentioned and John guided very well. Mini bus was new, clean and air conditioning was excellent. Lunch at lobster shack was an great experience. Some of the place timings can be revised, for instance, additional time for Lancelin sand dunes for playing instead of pink lake which was just a photo point. We had to experience some road closures & smog due to bush fires and John managed the situation well 😊

The condition of the dunes change all the time, too much time in the dunes is not always suitable. Jon knew the routes well and brought us to many nice points for photo taking and even helped us with it. He also shared many food / visiting recommendations and interesting experiences during the long drives. Pink lake was blue on the first day and very thankful that Jon brought us back on the 2nd day when it was really pink!

this 2 days trip covers all attractive sites of 3 days trip offered by other tour companies.
advantage is you can choose guide with either English or Chinese

In most part we enjoyed the locations. Pink lakes, Nature bridge and Rock window were great and ample time.
Great improvement needed.
Sand dunes were rushed and had to pay to hire boards if you wanted to go boarding.
Pinnacles was a major disappointment. Pulled up in the carpark and was told to walk up a path into the park. Only got a look at a very small portion of the Pinnacles. Very sad they did not drive through to experience the vast magnitude of this magnificent natural phenomenon. I have been there before so I know exactly what the others have missed out on. The guide Jon, his opinion was " you seen 1 rock you seen them all" very disappointing.
The guide had his moments and was easy to talk to. Was helpful with taking photos but dealing with his constant micro management of the group left us all feeling frustrated and felt like a school group on excursion.
You had to walk to the bakery for breakfast really early, which I was ok with, but others asked for a lift in the bus and was told no, but when we were walking back to the accommodation we saw Jon driving past but he would not offer a lift to others that asked. Very bad look for the company.
I couldn't, in good faith recommend this tour.
The 2 stars are for the nature, accommodation and the lobster at the Lobster shack. If they offered free sand boarding and drove us closer to the dunes as well as drove through the Pinnacles, I would have been happier. Jon needs to work on how he manages the group. We are all adults and not 5 years old.

Hi Margaret,
Thank you for your review. When you booked this tour, you would have known what is included and what's not. Sandboard is not included and your group has been to the Sand Dunes and the Pinnacles, most of them didn't want to get off the bus let alone to do a Sandboarding. This tour requires good fitness, you need to be prepared to do a little walking at places, we are talking 10 minutes walking the most.
For the breakfast on the second day, you only need to walk 5 minutes from the hotel to the cafe which is located in the sea front in a beautiful environment. We depart from the hotel at 7:20am, it will give you ample time to get ready and have your breakfast in the morning. Yes, you saw Jon and our other driver drove past, but they needed to top up their vehicles and get ready for the day. If the breakfast place is too far to walk, I can understand your concerns, but it's only 5 minutes pleasant walk in the morning to the sea front, again if you are not prepared to walk 5 minutes, then this tour is not suitable for you. On the second day, 2 of your group memebers didn't even go down to the Nature's Window which is on the bucket list of most of our guests.
Regarding the tour management, please note, this is a shared tour, we have people come from all over the world, some of them may need some extra help, we look after our customers and think for them. Yourself and your group are native Australians, may not require this help, but others do, just bear in mind that this is a shard tour for everyone not just for a particular group who want to take control and dominate the trip. A private tour maybe more suitable for your group. Just imagine, if your group travel to a completely different country where the language and culture you have little knowledge, would you appreciate that extra help? We are not treating anyone like young child, otherwise, we would tell you off for misbehaving at times, but the driver didn't.
You and your group have been to the Sand Dunes and the Pinnacles recently before coming on our 2 Day tour. This 2 day tour is not specialized in the Pinnacles only, we take our guests all the way up to Kalbarri to see many iconic attractions along the Indian Ocean coast. We have our routines which is more suitable for this trip. You don't compare two completely different tours in the same concept. We provide plenty time (50 minutes) for our guests to explore the Pinnacles, get some fresh air, have a little walk after a long ride then get ready to go back to Perth.
We apprecaite your time and effort put in this reveiw, but we don't appreciate nor agree anything as mentioned in this review.
Jon has been doing this tour since 2016 without incident..35 years driving experience...the other 3 customers were very happy with the tour...the lady gave Jon a tip and said ' thank you...best driver ever'

My tour guide Jon is friendly and spotted many animals throughout our trip. We even saw a cute little Hedgehog. The whole journey was well organized and had sufficient time for pictures taking. All destinations are interesting and relax.
The only thing is the vehicle is not very clean , and I think it should be improved.

All our tour buses are cleaned after each tour. However, as we travel deep into rural areas of Western Australia, people bring sand, dirt back into the bus, it's hard to maintain a very high level of cleaness at all time throughout the journey.

Thank you for the reveiw. Yes, we had early hot summer this time, the lake is showing water and sault pan. However, as we have described in the product, pink lake is a natural phenomenon, it changes throughout the year, but there is one thing is gurantted that the lake water is always pink. The colour can be from light pink to dark red depends on the weather conditon and Sun light.

The colour changes from light pink to dark red depends on temperature and Sun light. A lot of our customers find it's fascinating, so we have it included in our tour name.

Amazing photos, thank you for sharing. We have shorter days in WA towards the end of May and in June. We try our best to take our customers to see each attraction when they look the best. If you have high requirements for photos need longer time to setup, you may want to come to visit in other months of the year. The tour will be more accommodating, a little delay won't affect other customers too much.
