Terrible experience, poor communication, changed meeting point at late notice, never book with them, cannot speak to a person, all computer typing AI messages, then a person who how no fairness when it comes to refunding for not being picked up at older meeting point

I would like to clarify the situation: on September 8, 2025, at 11:46 a.m., we sent you a message informing you of an exceptional change to the meeting point for your tour. In that message, we clearly indicated that the departure would take place from 12, Avenue des Termes – 75017 Paris at 6:50 AM, and we kindly asked you to acknowledge receipt. Later the same day, at 11:45 PM, we received your confirmation reply: “Yes, I am coming and will be getting an Uber there, thank you. My number is …”.
This exchange confirmed that you had received and acknowledged the updated meeting location. Unfortunately, on the day of the tour, you arrived at the original meeting point instead of the updated address. We deeply regret that this misalignment caused you to miss the tour and understandably led to disappointment.
Please rest assured that our intention was never to inconvenience you. While last-minute changes to meeting points are rare, they occasionally become necessary due to logistical reasons beyond our control. We do our utmost to communicate such changes promptly and ensure that they are acknowledged, as was the case here.
We value your trust and regret that this experience did not meet your expectations. While we must stand by our position regarding the refund since the correct meeting point was both communicated and confirmed, we would like to extend a gesture of goodwill. Please contact us directly, and we will be happy to offer you a special discount on a future booking with us, should you wish to give us another chance.

A day filled with much sadness and pride. Heniere was an extremely knowledgeable tour guide and provided extensive information of the events which lead to WWI. So many Australians lost their lives to ensure our freedom that many take for granted. It is difficult to believe that this beautiful landscape and surroundings of The Somme were once the scene of such utter bloodshed and unbelievable loss of so many human lives.

Moving and at times even heartbreaking, but a must for any Australian visiting France. Our guide Honoré was a human goldmine of history and information, and friendly with it. Everything went without a hitch, worth every dollar. Thoroughly recommended.

A great day in the Somme.
Our guide was very informative and did his best to show us all the important sites.
Maybe we could have more time in some areas but then it would make the day even longer ….we saw all the important sites. A long day but worthwhile.

This was an exceptional one day tour. It was a small group of eight and all were Australian. I have a masters degree in military history, and was greatly impressed by the knowledge and enthusiasm of our French guide Regis, who spoke excellent English, was very engaging and had a great depth of learning about (and a genuine respect for) what Aussies did at the Somme, the hardships they endured and the battles they fought. We visited Villers-Bretonneux and the very moving cemetery there, and the excellent not to be missed Sir John Monash Centre. We visited Pozieres, passed Mouquet Farm, visited the Beaumont-Hamel Newfoundlanders’ memorial and the trenches at the front line that they moved off from into No Man’s Land on the dreadful first day of the Somme 1st July, 1916, when in 30 minutes the regiment was all but wiped out. We visited the Australian memorial at Mont St Quentin and the extraordinary Lochnagar mine crater, where British Army engineers had undermined a German strong point and exploded an enormous mine on the first day of the Somme, which failed however to prevent the Germans from inflicting terrible losses on the British when they advanced on the position.
We finished our tour with a visit to the very interesting Great War Museum at Peronne.
Throughout the trip, Regis was able to accurately describe what happened at each battle sight we attended, explaining the nature of the ground, and he answered our many questions. He had a good collection of photographs that depicted many aspects of what had happened at the places we visited. He spoke knowledgeably about war historian Charles Bean and the work of war artist Arthur Streeton.
We also drove past the field where the Red Baron crashed and died after being shot from below by an Australian infantryman.
The day was a very full one and we arrived back in Paris in time for dinner.
If you only have one day to visit the Somme, this tour is excellent and if your guide is Regis, you will be in very good hands.

Tour guide very very knowledgeable. Visited all the places that l had wanted to see about the Anzacs in Villers Bretonneux.
Our guide went slightly out of his normal route as l wanted to visit a NZ cemetery to locate a person that was listed as missing in action.
We found him and l was able to put a poppy from home.
This made my visit extra special. Thank you.

An overall good day getting to experience and walk around the areas where Australian soldiers and my family went to war. The Sir John Monash centre was amazing. So very well done!
Lost a star as I found the tour guide somewhat insensitive, being Australian and having family who fought in that area I really wanted to take a moment at certain sites like the cemetery to be silent. Yet, the guide was yelling and constant invading personal space. I did not feel he was knowledgable about WW1, at least not about Australia’s contribution or commemorative practices. He was factually incorrect about a few things which was disappointing.
The transport was comfortable, would have preferred more time at the Sir John Monash centre.

Very informative day and also moving. To see the graves of the fallen regardless of the country they fought for was a somber experience. It was good to be able to visit the actual trenches at one of the memorials. Also seeing the land mine hole was amazing as it was HUGE! WWI is not often discussed and I admit I am not a student of the Great War but my visit to the Somme Battlefields has made me want to learn more. Additionally our tour guide, Regis, was very informative and cordial with us. He made the topic very interesting and he did a great job. The van we rode in was comfortable and our lunch at one of the towns was delicious.

Visiting the battlefield sites and cemeteries was a deeply moving experience. The different museums do a terrific job of making the experience engaging. Cannot help but think of what the Ukrainien people are going through right now, more than one hundred years later. Our guide, Honare, was very knowledgeable, interesting and amusing. This was an incredibly powerful and moving experience. Regis was a wonderful host with immense knowledge of the sites and surroundings we visited. I attended with my husband, daughter and close friends. My husband is ex-RAN and our friend is ex-Army. We wanted to learn and pay our respects to all the Australians that had died on the Somme battlefields. We had a very remarkable day with our guide who was extremely informative. We attended not only Australian memorials but also English and Canadian. The John Monash Centre is truely worth a visit as were all the places we attended that day including the crater. It leaves you tired, weary and sad but we were all pleased we had learnt so much and paid our respects to not only the fallen Australians but the many other soldiers who had given their lives in battles sometimes even when they had no chance of survival,. Definitely recommend this tour, we did stop for a coffee in the morning and a baguette from a local patisserie for lunch which we ate in the a church garden. Can also do some memorabilia shopping.

It made it easy to cover a lot of history and large area in 1 day from Paris
Our guide Julian was very informative and made the day enjoyable as well.
It was good to get extra time at the John Monash centre.

We planned this trip to VB to pay homage to our fallen soldiers. As Australians we knew this was to be a great yet emotional experience and had been looking forward to it for some time. I think this tour definitely needs a little tweeking to take it to the next level. There needs to be more time at the John Monash Centre, especially, as with our group, when most or all of the group is composed of Australians. It is too rushed and does not allow sufficient time to see everything (even quickly) and then pay your respects at the graves. Some people in our group had actual relatives buried there and to think they were rushed in paying their respects saddened us. We basically had to run through to graves to make it to the bus on time after departing the JMC museum. For people who have come SO far to see this important site, being given less than one hour here was quite annoying to say the least. Unfortunately we were also not instructed by our guide that in order to view the interactive exhibits at the centre you need to download an app as well as have a pair of headphones. We only figured this out with about 15 mins left in the centre which only exacerbated how rushed we felt during our time here. There is probably too much time granted for lunch and the final museum and not enough time for the John Monash centre. If this was tweeked the day would be far more enjoyable. The other stops and memorials were great and moving and our guide Max did a good job of explaining the history of the area, the war and the Australian involvement in the war. In general, I think it was a very enjoyable day.
Everyone on our trip had similar comments, so I hope the owners/managers please take this into account to take this day to the next level.

Although this tour was a very long one it was very interesting and informative. We had a great Tour Driver/Guide who had vast knowledge and was only too willing to answer questions and allow time for extended breaks at points of interest. Would rate this Tour as follows Driver /Guide 8/10, Tour 9/10, Value for Money 8/10. As previously stated the only problem being the long time getting to and from the Battlefields.
