The guide merely drops...

The guide merely drops you off in the locations and gives vague directions about what to do. The only place the guide stayed with me was in Old Town Monaco. So I essentially paid $1100 for a taxi ride to three towns and less than an hour in each. I just wouldn’t call it a tour, I would call it a chauffeur service.

Regarding your point about the guide not accompanying you every minute of the tour, this approach is based on the expertise we have gained over 19 years of experience. In fact, most of our guests prefer to share intimate moments—whether as a couple, with family, or among friends—during their tours. That is why the guide accompanies you to key locations where a guide’s presence is essential (such as Monaco, where—as you noted—the guide did accompany you). However, we do allow free time for you to fully enjoy stops that are easy to explore independently, or simply to have breakfast, a coffee, or lunch at a restaurant without having the guide by your side all day long. That said, the guide could certainly have stayed with you from morning till evening had you requested it; you simply needed to ask.
