Annabelle is the best tour guide we have ever had in the city. She not only had an incredibly in depth knowledge of the history and architecture of the Midtown buildings, but was also able to get us inside many buildings, stores and hotels to explore the interiors of the historic buildings that took the experience to a whole other level. She was amazing. Highly recommend!

This is a tailored tour based on the interest of the group. Annabelle was knowledgeable and engaging on a personal level. She made connections to historical events and present day life styles. Just a short while into the tour you forget you are not just strolling around with a architecturally passionate friend.

You will learn so much. Annabel was fantastic. I have no idea how she kept so much info in her head!

Great tour

Amber_Z, Jan 2026
Annabel was fantastic! So much knowledge about the history of NYC. It’s a wonderful way to see and learn about the city.

Fantastic tour - highly recommended!

Annabel was an amazing tour guide - it was like hanging out with a friend for the day! She adjusted the tour to our interests and stayed extra time to talk and share her extensive knowledge of NYC. We did luck into a tour where it was just my spouse and I, so it was super easy to have an ongoing conversation with our guide. Thank you Annabel - we hope to see you again on another tour next year!

Definitely Recommend

Great tour. Annabelle was fantastic.

We come to Manhattan every year, this was a new and wonderful way to see some famous and amazing buildings. Annabelle was charming and extremely knowledgeable.

This is a fantastic Manhatten tour.

A small group walking tour and by far the one out of four tours that I chose that was most enjoyed. The guide, Annabelle, although small in stature stands as tall as the builings of New York. She expertly tunes into the vibe of the group and adjusts the tour to fit. She is a long time New Yorker and could likely answer many questions you have extending beyond architecture. Altough I was completely unaware of the various design phases of architectural progress in New York, Annabelle was able to connect and provide an eye opening experiece. Annabelle's knowledge of New York and her passion provides an expert guided tour that every tourist should add to their itinerary.

Incredibly Educational and Inspiring

The best architectural experience in New York!

Annabel is an amazing and knowledgeable guide, she has so much passion about architecture and its history, we have learnt a lot about architecture in New York.

Manhattan Architecture Tour

Syed_H, Jul 2025
Is based more on history rather than specific architectural components of the buildings. Annabell was very kindly informative regarding unique aspects, historical transactions, and variables regarding the different buildings we visited. It was really a pleasure to learn from her!

Annabel was fantastic! We have been to NYC a number of times but saw midtown in a completely different light.

What a wonderful way to spend a morning in New York City

Shlomit_S, Nov 2024
Annabelle was an amazing tour guide. She opened our eyes to the architecture of so many New York City buildings, old, and new. She walked us across time from the early skyscrapers until the modern buildings of today. She was so knowledgeable, kind, and passionate. We thoroughly enjoyed this tour and recommended to everyone

Amazing

Annabel is THE BEST tour guide! She knew everything there is to know about Manhattan. Annabel is personable, kind, and she is sincere and genuinely cares about the information she shares. Loved the tour!

Great Tour!

Cindy_A, Sep 2024
Annabelle was outstanding! She was able to share the information in an interesting way. She also had a gift of being able to connect with the tourists she was guiding. We learned so much from her. It was evident that she loved her subject matter and loved the city of New York! I would highly, highly recommend her tours! My only suggestion would be to maybe at the beginning find a quiet place to sit down and then begin to share all the wonderful information about what we were going to see. It was a bit difficult to hear and process the information when the tour started because of the traffic noise. I would like to take this tour again because I know I didn't absorb it all!!

Fun and informative

Diane_M, Sep 2024
Fun, informative, personalized tour with Annabel, a very knowledgeable and friendly guide. If you have any interest whatsoever in history and architecture, I’d highly recommend!!

Intellectual and so fun!

Gina_S, Aug 2024
Annabel was so knowledgeable, funny, and dynamic! We went inside various buildings and learned so much about their architectural details and history. Highly recommend this tour for anybody who loves art, historial context, and architecture.

I would do it again

Margaret_P, Jul 2024
Annabel was our tour guide. Grandmother and a 13 year old boy interested in architecture. We were the only ones signed up so we essentially had a private tour. It was advertised as 3 hours and turned into 3 and a half. We were taken into both public and private spaces. Annabel knew her subject….dates, styles, the people behind the money to build the skyscrapers, historical anecdotes from the Rockefeller to Leona Helmsley, and more. She had the capability to engage both Grandma and Grandson. A perfect treat.

New York Architecture - Midtown

DAVID_L, Jul 2024
We had a delightful tour with Annabel on July 6th which delineated the architure and architectural styles present in midtown New York - Super! Didn't realize how many styles were present until it was skillfully pointed out and explained. We visited the lobbies of several buildings for added understanding and impact. Splendid tour and we highly recommend it. You'll enjoy....

Amazing tour!!

John_S, Jun 2024
The tour guide Annabel was incredibly knowledgeable and very engaging! She answered all our questions and provided insight into some of the most iconic buildings in midtown!!

A great tour.

Ian_L, May 2024
An absorbing and enjoyable tour. Annabel is an engaging, friendly and very knowledgeable guide. A great experience. Well recommended!

Awesome Experience

Stephen_N, Feb 2024
We had a private tour with our guide Annabel and she was great. The experience was great as she approached it as a conversation with us and not just spilling out details. Since it was just the my husband and I on the tour she asked us how we wanted to do the tour and if there were specific buildings or details we would like to see and know. Annabel’s friendship with several of employees at the buildings we entered gave us access to information and details that several people would not get if they did not have Annabel as a guide. We had a great time and would definitely do it again and recommend it to anyone who loves architecture and history.

If you like architecture and history, this tour is for you.

Mark_W, Feb 2024
Annabel was engaging and informative, with a vast knowledge of NYC architectural history and stories. Throughout the rest of the day we commented on how much we learned and the things we’d have never seen on our own. The pace and the variety of topics suited us well.

Worth It!!!

Dawn_A, Nov 2023
Annabel was very informative and had a tremendous amount of knowledge about the buildings and New York in general. She customized the tour for our tastes and brought us into many beautiful buildings. I would highly recommend this tour.

Fabulous Tour of the Architecture of Midtown Manhattan

Hollis_S, Jul 2023
Our guide, Annabel, was very thorough and knowledgeable, and shared the history as well as her insights on the evolution of NYC architecture across different eras. Even though we are quite familiar with the city, we learned so much, and we’re introduced to some of the city’s hidden gems. Our favorite had to be the Fred French building and lobby! But we also learned the meanings and purpose of the buildings and artwork of Rockefeller Center, which we’d not previously known. It was an amazing 3 hours, and we came away with a deeper appreciation of the architects, visionaries, and craftsmen who changed the city. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

You walk the streets of Manhattan everyday and never really notice the unique styles of architecture. This tour really made you stop- look and understand what was going on during that particular era.

Very friendly,...

Very friendly, devoted guide with extraordinarily interesting stories about New York City history. You come to places you would never have come without this tour and experience stories that are not in any guidebook. Many good suggestions!
