You must see this side of the world...and you'll love it!

This visit was a highlight of my travels! It was very interesting to see a completely different world and how the locals live, work, and interact with each other. Lucas was the perfect guide and is also an outstanding photographer in case you want great pictures! The locals were so friendly, especially the children. They are very happy to see you and love taking pictures with you! Lucas knew the neighborhood well, so the walking around was done efficiently.

Thank you so much for the kind words and for letting me be part of your journey—it truly means a lot! I’m glad the experience gave you a glimpse into the heart of the community and how beautifully life flows here, even in its rawest form. The kids really do bring the energy, don’t they? 😄 They light up at every opportunity to connect. It was a pleasure guiding you, and I’m grateful you trusted me to show you around and capture moments along the way. And yes—Pagel is definitely the comic relief of the crew! He always knows how to steal a smile. Karibu tena anytime—you’ll always have a home here. With appreciation, Lucas

A great opportunity to observe and connect with one of Kenya’s most vulnerable communities. The tour provides insights not only into the circumstances of the community but also into the innovations employed for sustenance and ultimate survival.

    Response from Host, Jun 2025

It was an absolute honor to host on behalf of the community we say thank you for the respect and love you showed...you are welcomed once again.

Excellent opportunity to have a real cultural exchange experience.

One of the main things I wanted for my trip to Nairobi was to meet people from all different backgrounds and communities. That is why I decided to take this tour to Kibera. Luca was my guide, he is from Kibera and had a lot to share about his community. I got to meet projects lead by people from the community who are building self-sustainable ways to improve the living conditions of their community. I really recommend this tour for everyone to take, it is a great opportunity for you to meet a community with beautiful and smart people that regardless of life's difficulties, they can convey a lot of hope and strength.

    our tour in Kibera

Lucas came to pick us up at our residence and took us to Kibera by matatu, explaining us the system of the transport and telling us about the matatu culture. We had a good stroll around Kibera and he has been really thoughtful and kind all the time; he asked us what our main interests were and took us around accordingly. very nice experience, thank you Lucas! most expressive experience in Kenya

    Meri_N, Feb 2020
It was my most impressive experience in Kenya. This tour shows not only the outline of Kibera but also how people live in reality. The environment may be shocking to people from developed countries. However, smiles of children are heart-warming. I was really surprised at the fact that people in Kibera were friendly. From the point of view of security, I felt it was safer in Kibera with the reliable coordinator of the tour rather than in the central of Nairobi. Above all, Lucas, the coordinator of the tour is reliable and gentle person. I strongly recommend this tour.
