We booked the 6 passenger car for 6 adults with "simple English driver" for our port stop at Naha, for a 6 hour period. We had our own rough itinary selected and researched our stops and the drive. We were not seeking a tour, or a tour guide, only a hired vehicle with a driver who could drive safely and communicate enough to get us around. It should have gone smoothly but nothing about it did, and our day and our money was sadly wasted.
First of all, we are not familiar with the type or capacity of vehicles in Japan but the photo showed a large SUV, advertising a Alphard (?) 6 pax vehicle (meaning 6 passengers, not including the driver). 6 adult passengers of any size would be hard pressed to fit comfortably, as the back bench was 2 independent seats with very hard humps in both the seat and seat back. 3 normal sized humans were squeezed in so tightly it was ridiculous. We found no 3rd seat belt, therefore we do not know how they could advertise it as holding 6 adults, unless they counted the driver! We were never advised to select a different vehicle, nor did one appear as an option to select at time of booking (although the company claims they offered us options, after reviewing all of our booking information, they never offered other options or suggestions whatsoever, and we would have gladly booked a different car had their description been accurate, as we prefer extra space anytime we can purchase it we certainly would have never booked a car for six adults that was only meant for five!!) Our group traded the back "middle space" from time to time, as it was impossible for any human to sit comfortably, in fact it was painful after only a few minutes. We were stuck in this car from 9am to 3pm and it was absolutely miserable.
Secondly, the description of a simple English speaking driver was incorrect because our driver did not understand any English, no matter how we tried to use translators or maps, our driver spoke NO English whatsoever, and he was simply unable to understand where we wanted to go and would not even look at our maps. After an hour of frustration and much delay, we contacted the travel company, "Easy Travel Japan," via WhatsApp to try to get some assistance and asked them to please call the driver and tell him what we needed. We are 6 very capable (well traveled, all over the world) adults and have never had this much trouble communicating anywhere with anyone. He kept saying "no" to everything. Never once did we assume that he would be a tour guide, but we did expect for him to understand the places we wanted to go to and the timeline that we had. It was overall poor communication, primarily from the booking company. It appeared that there were even times as we were communicating with the company office that even THEY did not understand what we were trying to accomplish and couldn't help the driver. That particularly is the fault of the travel company, 100%, as they set him up for failure. We understood very clearly what we booked, with the exception of the size of the vehicle. As we do not live in this country we do not understand vehicle sizes. It would have been very appreciated if they could have let us know that perhaps we might want a larger vehicle for the six of us, but no one ever offered that option nor did we see it anywhere on the Viator website or we would have certainly rented a bigger vehicle.
We finally made it back to the port after only getting to two of our four stops; most of our day was wasted because the driver couldn't communicate with us properly... He often became frustrated as someone in the group tried to show him where we needed to go. All we basically did was drive around for 6 hours in an uncomfortable car with limited views for 6 ppl. At the end of the day we were very frustrated and disappointed to have wasted the 1 day we had here, and just felt enormous relief to be able to get back to the ship and get out of the car!
The company made an attempt at an apology by actually offering us an additional 1/2 hour of time, (which we all found completely laughable considering the misery of the entire day) but basically said they felt they delivered what we booked, and thanked us for our feedback.
So, we offer this review for the benefit of future travelers booking with this company who do not speak Japanese: Beware and ask many questions before you book from Easy Travel Japan, because there was absolutely nothing easy about our day with them.

Thank you for your feedback, and we are truly sorry for the inconvenience and frustration you felt during your trip. We understand how valuable your limited time at port is, and we regret that the experience did not meet your expectations.
On the same day, we also served other American guests using the same Toyota Alphard, and their trip went smoothly. They understood that the driver’s role was to bring them to the Google Maps locations they provided in advance, and we supported them throughout the day via our WhatsApp group.
Regarding the vehicle, the Toyota Alphard can accommodate a maximum of 6 adults plus 1 driver, which was the option booked. However, we sincerely apologize that we did not proactively suggest a larger vehicle. While 6 passengers is within the maximum capacity, we understand that for some groups it may feel cramped, especially for longer journeys. Thank you for highlighting this. Moving forward, we will contact guests when bookings reach maximum capacity to offer upgrade options, and we are also considering adjusting the product settings to limit this vehicle to 5 passengers for greater comfort.
As stated in the listing, the driver does not speak fluent English and communicates primarily using a translation app. We believe part of the misunderstanding may have involved “Seaside Drive in Onna Village,” which we initially understood to refer to the restaurant “SEA SIDE DRIVE-IN” in Okinawa. Additionally, during the drive, there was a request for beer recommendations, and we did our best to assist while also waiting for confirmation of the exact locations to visit. Unfortunately, it seems there were mutual misunderstandings throughout the day.
Nevertheless, we are sorry that our service did not meet your expectations. Your feedback is important to us, and we will use it to improve our communication and booking process to better support future guests.

The driver could not speak English. Did not have a map. Did not know where key places were.
Had to return to Naha visitor center to get a map. Could not enter Camp Foster because the driver was Chinese.
