Jeff led our tour of Montreal with 7 longtime friends from Chicago and it was a beautiful experience! 🇨🇦 Covered 10.5 miles of neighborhoods we never would have seen otherwise. Lunch was delicious and fit the bill for each of us. Met 2 lovely other riders and got a chance to ask all our questions of the guide. Highly recommend

Then head to the heart of the entertainment district and Montréal’s Gay Village for a look a the exciting culture that gives the city a unique atmosphere.

Excellent tour. It packs in a real insider view of Montreal. Rufus was an excellent guide, knowledgeable and fun.

Highlight of our Montreal trip!!

Eleanor_S, Aug 2025
My husband and I stumbled into this bike tour and we’re so glad we did! It’s the absolute best way to see the less touristy parts of the city, and it really helped us feel much more connected with the Montreal locals! We got to see so many parks, murals, unexpected alleys, and spots we had no idea about on this tour. Chris was absolutely awesome! We felt super safe under his guidance and he made sure to check on everyone throughout the day and ensure we were not melting (it was 94° on our tour day). Our comfort level with city biking is not super high, but in Montreal, they have separated bike lanes which really does feel super safe! Cars, bikes, and pedestrians alike were very respectful and kind as our group rolled through. We even got a chant from toddlers at a local school! This was the highlight of our Montreal leg of our trip! Loved it through and through! Thank you, Chris!!

Response from Host, Aug 2025

Montreal is an increasingly bike friendly city, it is the favourite way to get around for many locals thus is a great way to get to know the city like a local! We are glad you discovered so much while feeling safe the whole way through. We hope you can stumble into some more of our tours next time you're around!

Fun tour

This was a wonderful way...

Karen_L, Aug 2025
This was a wonderful way to experience our first day in Montreal. I am a senior used now to riding an e-bike and found the pink bikes provided well maintained and easy to ride. Our guide, Felix was very attentive and informative as we explored and learned the history of some interesting areas. Capping the tour off with a picnic in the park was a great way to finish.

Response from Host, Aug 2025

We like to keep our bikes in tip top condition so they are an easy ride for everyone! We are happy to hear you enjoyed your time with Felix as well as the lovely picnic! We hope to see you again soon!

Excellent bicycle tour of Montreal

Felix was a fantastic host who led us through a wonderfully interesting tour of Montreal which is a great city to discover via bicycle. The lunch provided on the morning tour was a welcome bonus!

Response from Host, Jul 2025

Biking is such a key way to see a lot of the city and with Felix it almost feels romantic! Thanks for sharing. Definitely suggest this early in the stay! Merci! Merci!

Great tour amongst the people of Montreal

Laura_S, Jul 2025
Felix was an excellent guide and historian. Highly recommend as a way to see lesser traveled neighborhoods

Montreal from a local perspective

Kevin_N, Jul 2025
This was a great overview of multiple neighborhoods of Montreal: Plateau, Mont Royal, Old Port, the Village, and Downtown while taking advantage of the bike friendly city. The tour is limited to 11 participants. Our friendly and chill guide Felix was full of information about the history and culture of the city, while Kristen helped with fitting the bikes to us and with providing a delicious vegan lunch with a local craft brew. We enjoyed four hours together, learned a lot, and made new friends. Just wonderful.

Response from Host, Jul 2025

That’s it! Lots of hoods, mains to hidden gems, chill pace and a small enough group to keep it human scale. Glad you enjoyed. Definitely do the walking Beyond the Market food tour next time. Merci!

Perfect tour!

Good tour of Plateau...

Kirsten_W, May 2025
Good tour of Plateau neighborhood and the murals there, then down to the old port and back up through neighborhood parks hanging out with the school kids on recess. The biking is not challenging no worries, lunch was healthy. Jeff put past and now into perspective -- hope his students appreciate him we sure did. Thank you everyone!

Response from Host, May 2025

Sounds like you really experienced Montreal like a local on this tour and got to learn lots about the city and its culture while travelling through so many different areas! We appreciate Jeff too, and we appreciate you joining us for this tour! Hope to see you on another one soon!

Highly recommended bike tour

Wendy_R, May 2025
The bike tour with Chris was such a nice way to see Montreal. We covered many different neighborhoods. There were only 2 of us tourists on the tour so it felt like a private tour. Despite the rain and construction, Chris navigated us seamlessly from location to location with plenty of history and information about the parks, neighborhoods, architecture, murals, etc. The picnic we had in the park was divine. We had a tasty, gourmet sandwich with a sweet pastry and a local beer to chase it all down. The ride was mostly flat with an occasional small hill. Easy to do with a regular gear bike, didn’t need an e-bike. I highly recommend this tour to anyone who enjoys biking and cruising around the city with a friendly guide like Chris.

Response from Host, May 2025

We are glad you got to enjoy all the cool local spots despite the conditions (like a true Montrealer!). The little nooks and crannies off the beaten path have so much to offer! If you enjoyed our lunch choices so much you should definitely check out our Beyond the Market tour for some more great food!

Must Do Tour in Montreal

Becky_D, Oct 2024
A fantastic way to explore the city! Chris was an excellent guide, sharing so much insight about Montreal. We discovered neighborhoods we never would have found on our own. It was definitely the highlight of our weekend!

Excellent, just take the tour!

Sarah_M, Oct 2024
Danny was my guide, he was knowledgeable, and so much fun! We saw art, various neighborhoods, had an incredible lunch and he left us with a print out of all his recommendations. It wasn't touristy, and I learned even more than I already knew about MTL. I loved how arts and culture were embedded into this tour. 10/10 I'm from Toronto and been to MTL before, so if your from out of town, this is a great way to get better acquainted with the city and culture.

Response from Host, Oct 2024

Danny is funny and knowledgeable! We are big fans of art and local culture and really want to highlight that on our tours (as well as any hidden gems we can find along the way)! We are glad you enjoyed this non touristy tour so much! If you want to learn even more about local art you should check out our Mural and street art tour!

Experience the real Montreal

Meredith_C, Sep 2024
In the beginning of the tour, Jeff described the tour perfectly when he said “This is the kind of tour you take your close friends on”. We loved seeing the non-touristy parts of Montreal - where people actually live, eat and hang out. Jeff’s enthusiasm for his city truly elevates the tour! Also their cheat sheet for recommendations was spot on. 100% would recommend taking this bike tour!

Response from Host, Oct 2024

That is such a great description of the experience we are trying to create! We are glad you enjoyed the intimate local experience as well as Jeff's infectious enthusiasm! We hope to keep showing you around on our other tours!

Great tour

Katherine_C, Sep 2024
Great tour! Saw a lot of Montreal, including murals and parks. Was a lovely way to spend time outdoors and getting a little exercise while also exploring. Would encourage participants to be comfortable riding bikes in bike lanes and also in the road.

Response from Host, Sep 2024

The pink bike tour is a great balance of exercise, art and the great outdoors of the inner-city! We are glad you had a great time and hope you can join us again for another tour soon!

If you want to make sure you come home with at least one great memory from your trip to Montreal, go on this bike tour!

Diane_D, Aug 2024
I am so glad I went on this bike tour! It was a very entertaining and informative 4 hours. Damascus and Danny, our guides, were outstanding, sharing their insights as natives on what makes Montreal such a special place. Rather than the tourist sites one would expect a tour to highlight, this tour focused on off-the-radar spots and neighborhoods that the guides find special about their city. I learned a lot of interesting history along the way, and Danny is WAY funny, too. The lunch was quite tasty and filling and it was fun to picnic in one of the parks we stopped at. The bikes were quite comfortable and easy to ride and maneuver. I was surprised at how safe it was to ride a bike through such a big city, a testament to how awesome it is to have a city so invested in its biking infrastructure.

Response from Host, Aug 2024

All the little local spots are what truly make up the city for those who live here and we want to show you our view of it rather than just the highlights. Happy to hear you had such a fun time with Danny and Damascus and that you felt safe! Come join us again soon!

Do not miss this tour!

Jessica_A, Aug 2024
This tour is not to be missed! The bikes were in excellent condition, our guide Amelie was outstanding, and this was a fun and interesting way to get a feel for not only the history of Montreal, but also the way of life of locals today. The route was thoughtful and felt completely safe, and our guide always made sure the group stayed together. And the lunch provided was so delicious!! Thank you so much for this incredible experience!!

Response from Host, Aug 2024

It sounds like we nailed every point for you! Glad to hear you loved every aspect so much and felt safe while exploring a large variety of local spots! If you loved our lunch we have got a whole lot more great food to show you on the Beyond the Market tour!

Highly Recommend

Great tour, highly recommend. We saw many of the tourist hotspots plus our guide was very informative

Response from Host, Aug 2024

Glad you enjoyed it! Hope to see you again soon!

Don't waste your money! Horrible waste of a tour!

holly, Jul 2024
Most memorable was the fact they had no idea how to raise the handle bars which can simply be raised easily with the correct tool. The girl got black grease all over my husbands seat when she raised it and hit all over my husband's expensive new shorts and ruined them. Plus the gears on my bike didn't work correctly and kept slipping up hills. Very dangerous and it hurt my hip. The guide should have offered me his bike. But he did not- Also when they say non touristy they mean it!!! We went thru back alleys with smelled trash- He only posted out biting murals and graffiti - Ridiculous Dullsville I wish I had booked with another company- I'd never recommend this bike your snd I'd never ever even think of doing it again...oh at the end the guide was saying how he would help us with any questions or concerns etc...We asked him if he would call or get a cab taxi number for us- He replied " he would have to google it and refused to help!" Very rude and unprofessional He also talked more about his family history than any interesting history or facts about Montréal. Who cares about his family history's Boring Horrible horrible horrible Guys name was Jeff!!!! Terrible horrible unpersonsble guide!

Response from Host, Jul 2024

We were taking bets about when this nasty review would come in. These ones are great because they are already answered to by the countless other reviews that say the exact opposite. Jeff couldn’t be any more of the contrary to the way you describe him. So much so that when I get a message from him on Slack one hour into his tour about having insufferable human beings and bigots on the outing who live on a plantation in Kentucky and he says that he thinks your husband may be a Nazi sympathizer… I think to myself, why is Jeff joking with me at 11 AM on a Friday while he is supposed to be working? Well here you have it. The fact that you mentioned your husband’s shorts being greased by " the girl" and couldn’t just write shorts and had to use “expensive “ is my favourite part. Merci and prayers for others who have to babysit y’all in the future.
