Pick up was on time and the ride to the winery was nice with driver providing information on the winery. Arrived at winery and were greeted by the host. Tour was in English and very informative. Or guide Sabrina was very good and answered all of our questions. The tasting was excellent and the pairing with the wine were superb. We were truly impressed with the facility and the staff. We would highly recommend visitors ng this winery. We were unaware it was rated as 30th in worldwide wineries. We purchased 2 bottles of their red wines.

I visited Bouza Winery in January 2022, actually the same day I returned in 2026. But things were a bit different. I loved so much and that's why I decided to come back. The second experience as I can say felt poorly. The tour, explanation and even the time for photos felt different as it happened with a different level of energy. But that is my interpretation. And after at the wine tasting that I felt more disappointed. The first time was rich. Good servings of wine and the appetizers. The second experience was dramatically poor in comparative to the frist time. Really small portions and wine serving. The price compensated the good wine tasting but now, felt expensive, basic and poor. I really loved the first time, it was a beautiful experience, unfortunately cannot say for the second time.

Over priced. The winery tour was good. 50/50 English and Spanish and that was ok--if a little tiresome during the times we couldn't understand. Transportation to and from winery added little-- no tour guide qualities at all. We sat around for over 30 minutes before our tour started even after our tour was shifted from the scheduled time of 10am to 1230pm. We had no opportunity to eat lunch at the winery, even though the posting listed it as optional, as the driver rushed us out of there. Winery is beautiful and staff there are friendly and helpful. The question is as to the value of the driver.

This was a very nice stop before I got into town and settled in from the boat ride from Buenos Aires. The vineyard/estate is very nice and the guide had thorough knowledge of all the vines as well as the pairings. The empanada was excellent!

This was a little confusing of an experience. After the tour was booked for 10am, I received a message that the tour was moved to 1240pm, no big deal. I had booked the tour in English but it was only in Spanish at the winery. A little disappointing but gave me an opportunity to practice my Spanish listening skills. The winery itself was beautiful and the wines were great to taste. The van was clean, comfortable and the driver was fine. He was not aware of what tour we booked and asked us if we were doing the tour or restaurant.

We were picked up a little earlier than the time confirmed this was not a problem. It took 25 mins from our hotel to Bouza Vineyard. The driver, Christian, shared interesting facts about Uruguay and Montevideo. We were greeted warmly by the Bouza staff. We were shown around with a glass of wine in hand and got to taste Tannat and Merlot grapes growing on the vine. Andreas was excellent and informative and we tasted 5 wines overall with delicious tapas. The best empanadas ever. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this trip. Good value for money.

We had such an excellent time on this tour. The hotel pick up and drop off was easy and smooth. Our driver was prompt and wonderful, and gave us a little history lesson about the region on the drive over. The winery tour was wonderful — we were taken on a private tour of the winery and vineyard with a glass of white wine in hand, and then treated to a tasting of a number of different wines that were paired with small tapas (which tasted INCREDIBLE). We could not recommend this experience enough. Totally worth the money.

Great Half Day Winery Excursion

Pick up was easy and we had zero issues with anyone not speaking English. The driver did a nice joke b of pointing out things along the way to the winery which was around 20mins from pick up at the Port. The winery grounds were really beautiful, the tour was nice and explained their wine making process well. We thoroughly enjoyed the wines and food pairings. Even ended up ordering more empanadas, they were fantastic. In all it's about a 3.5 hour tour and we'll worth the money; with driver, tour, tasting and pairing. Also for car fans there are some great classic cars!

The tour guide was very knowledgeable and answered all questions. The only problem was the explanation of the wine tastings was in Portuguese. The tour guide gave a brief summary in English but did not have all the details about the wine explained to us. The appetizers were outstanding and all the wines were good.

We absolutely loved this tour! The guide was so informative about the types of grapes, the different wines, the growing seasons, and the fermentation process. And the hotel pickup was so easy and smooth as well. The vineyard is gorgeous, and I’d highly recommend visiting during the growing season so you can see the grapes beginning to ripen on the vine.

There was no provision for English. Tour of winery was good and guide took extra effort to explain in English to the four out of fifty people. The tasting staff were excellent and very efficient but there was no English at all. Beautiful place, very nice people. Not for English speakers.

The winery was fantastic; the wine and tapas were great, and the tour was really enjoyable. The only downside was that there was a lot of down time before and after to the experience, while we waited around (and, um, drank more wine...) for those in our group who ordered the lunch experience. It's a shame they didn't have some additional activities for us while we waited around. Really enjoyed the winery though.

Tour of the impressive winery was very good. Tapas and tastings of these excellent wines are great. The issue to me is no one is in charge. Some people split off and have lunch and others have tapas and tastings. Of course the tastings and tapas are quicker but you are just left on your own. The drivers are gone and no one knows when we are leaving. A little organization would go a long way. Nothing was said about wines and liquors are available but you have to ask. Cheese as well

We had a delightful afternoon at the Bouza Winery. The grounds were beautiful and well kept. The antique car collection was impressive. The tour guide took us on a walking tour of the vineyards and the building where the grapes are processed and fermented. He shared with us the history of the winery and the new grapes the owners had introduced to Uruguay. He only spoke Spanish but both of the English-speaking couples on the tour were fortunate enough to have a spouse who could speak Spanish. The attendant in the wine tasting room was so accommodating. When we told her that we didn't care for red wines, she opened several white wines for us to try. There was such an abundance of food served with the wine tasting that we canceled our plans to get lunch at the restaurant next door afterwards. I would highly recommend visiting this winery.

The area is beautiful and it was really nice to get out of the city. The tour company provides transportation, then the winery provides the tour and tasting. Be prepared for a Spanish-only tour, which was a stretch for us (and why we gave 4/5 stars, since we requested an English tour). But, the tasting was amazing and the food was so delicious (and in English!). I enjoyed the tasting very, very much.

Não havia um guia, apenas um motorista (que, por sinal, compareceu atrasado - não sei se por sua própria culpa ou se por algum atraso de outros turistas que não cumpriram com o horário aprazado de encontro). Quando chegamos à Bouza, a guia local (talvez porque nosso transporte se atrasou...) já havia iniciado a explanação sobre a Bodega (e nosso atraso não nos permitia exigir que recomeçasse). A degustação dos rótulos foi interessante e o responsável por conduzir o trabalho foi gentil e disponível, mas estivemos recentemente em Bento Gonçalves (RS-Brasil) e não há comparação em relação à qualidade da experiência nas vinícolas que visitamos. A estrutura turística destes passeios que adquirimos durante nossa estada no Uruguai se mostraram ainda muito amadoras, infelizmente. Não recomendamos este passeio.
