This was a great tour with Christian who was very knowledgeable about all wines in this winery and region! We had a private which was very personable and enjoyable. Christian had great English and was able to explain all processes to us!

Extraordinary experience!

It was incredible from the beginning to end. Christian wasn’t amazing host and taught us so very much about tasting wine, the process and challenges. The cava was gorgeous and the wines and food pairings were wonderful. We never felt at all rushed, and he took all the time necessary to make sure we had a great experience. I always say I’m not a red wine fan, but now I think I’ve been transformed! Bravo!

Lovely personal tour of the facility. Excellent food and wine, thoroughly enjoyed it! You Should know that the transportation to and from the port is not included which will be Another $50-&60 USD.

The journey out of the city meant we saw the agricultural landscape of the area. The hosts were lovely and the guide through the vineyard and production interesting. The tasting and the foods provided were excellent. Highly recommended

Alejandra and Miguel were exceptional hosts. To be on a tour with the premier winemaker of Uruguay was such a unforgettable experience. Details of vineyard secrets were finally shared with the public and the history of Castillo Viejo now grows wild. It was a once in a lifetime honor to attend this tour. Excellent wine tasting in a beautiful setting

Had a great experience. 4th generation family owned winery serving some excellent wine. The underground tasting room has a great ambiance. The music, and food enhanced the wine tasting. Friendly people. The young girl, who is from the 4th generation was the only one who spoke English and took us on the tour. She was sweet and friendly. We really enjoyed this place and can’t recommend it enough.

Vivência na vinícola

Tivemos uma boa explicação sobre a produção de vinhos e a história da vinícola. Porém, no momento da degustação faltou instruções sobre as harmonizações, achei a comida “fraca” pro valor cobrado, detalhes simples como aquecer a empanada no forno elétrico em vez de usar o microondas já daria outro sabor. A comida é restrita, não vale como refeição. Os vinhos são bons. Como não são vendidos no Brasil acabei comprando pra levar.
