i booked and paid for the Martha Brae experience. the night before our excursion the host called and said martha brae was too far away but we could do the same excursion on another river that he called White River. He said the price was the same and the river trip was about an hour 45 minutes. upon arrival everyone was friendly, however, there was no village, shops or restaurants. our trip on Rio Nuevo (location stamp from iphone) river was more like a ditch. it only had one stop to purchase souvenirs from locals and the entire trip lasted from 10:05 to 10:42. the best part about the trip was Beckham, our river guide. we had private transportation and the original driver we had was knowledgeable and friendly. he encouraged us to leave our bags in his car and he would be there waiting for us to get off the river. our bags had wallets and passports so we didnt leave it. when we got off the river he was gone to pick up other people so we had to wait on his return. while we were waiting we heard another guest ask an employee how much for the rafting experience and she told him $40/each. we paid $241.66 for martha brae (3 mile rafting) and transportation. on the way back the driver stopped at a souvenir shop (we didnt want to stop) but while we were looking around in the store our driver left us again so we had another driver take us back. the entire experience we got should have cost us around $125 but we paid almost double and the experience was the most stressful.

Mama G was the best driver anyone could’ve asked for. She made sure me and my friends were well taken care of. If anyone is booking this activity ask for mana G. You in good hands with Mama G. She went out of her way to make sure we enjoyed the activity. She show us where we can find the best mangos and beef patties. Thanks again Mama G.
