Small backpack Comfortable clothes (preferably quick-drying material: cotton or polycotton not denim) Light hiking shoes or hiking boots Hat or beanie sunglasses sunblock Waterproof jacket / membrane (for the rainy days) Your own personal water bottle. Beautiful, inspiring hike

The hike was excellent - beautiful and inspiring. We were able to explore this really interesting place via a set of paths that have been there for centuries and used to be the only way to access some of these monasteries. As we hiked during the heat of the summer, the uphill ascents were a bit taxing for some in our group, but the tour guide adjusted our pace whenever necessary. Our tour guide was very capable and knowledgeable about the area, having grown up walking these very paths. Bring plenty of water, sunscreen, and a good hat.
