What To Expect

After pickup at your downtown Mendoza hotel, ride to Termas de Cachueta. Settle into a state of deep relaxation before you even hit the thermal pools while enjoying views of the looming Andes and the sound of the Mendoza River rushing nearby.

On arrival, enjoy mountain terraces featuring glimmering thermal pools of fresh, naturally heated water. Take full advantage of all of the facilities during your daylong stay, including whirlpools, a hydrotherapy thermal circuit, foot baths, and bubble beds. Inhale the bracing mountain air as you climb into hot, warm, or cold baths. Experience Argentina's only grotto sauna, letting the heat and mud detoxify your body and soften your skin.

The natural solarium features Scottish- and Finnish-style showers for you to rinse off before eating lunch at a regional Creole buffet typically including vegetarian fare, a salad bar, barbecue pork and chicken, lamb, sausages, and grilled vegetables. Drink plenty of locally sourced mountain spring water to stay hydrated during your thermal circuit, or purchase additional beverages off the spa menu.

Book a massage at an additional expense, but be sure to reserve in advance, as appointments are limited.

Relax into a comfortable seat on your transport back to your Mendoza hotel at the end of a long day of indulgence and rejuvenation.

Relaxation

Ricardo_E, Jul 2026
I had an amazing spa day at the hot springs! The natural thermal pools were incredibly relaxing, and the peaceful surroundings made it the perfect place to unwind. The staff was welcoming, the facilities were clean and well maintained, and the entire experience left me feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing escape and a chance to recharge.

Long, relaxing day

Megan_A, Apr 2026
I do not believe the driver spoke English, although I booked an English-speaking guide. The drive up was nice. Robe, towel and locker rentals are an extra fee. The thermal pools and scenery were beautiful and made for a relaxing day. Buffet lunch was nice with many choices. All drinks are an additional fee. Overall, a nice day.

Very Disorganized

Saule_V, Mar 2026
This experience was extremely frustrating and unacceptable. Initially, we were confirmed to be picked up at the Diplomatic Hotel at 08:30 per the booking, but then we were suddenly texted to meet at Plaza Italia on Peru Street at 08:45. Why offer hotel pickup as an option if it can just be changed to a park like that? We were told to meet at 08:45, and even came a little early. At 08:45, we texted to ask where the driver was, and we were told they had just departed their location at that time. When we asked how long it would take to arrive, they said 5-10 minutes, but we were not actually picked up until 09:30, and at a completely different part of the park, on a different street. During this time, we had no idea who was picking us up or what vehicle to look for. There were multiple vans driving around, and despite asking multiple drivers, we couldn’t confirm which one was for us. These kinds of details should be clearly stated upfront to avoid confusion and make the process faster and more efficient. Additionally, everyone we spoke to only spoke Spanish, including those giving directions and the spa staff explaining the rules. Thankfully, we understand Spanish, but this should have been explicitly noted in the booking details, as the listing states that English is an available language option. On a positive note, the food was amazing, the spa staff were wonderful, and the views were stunning, even though the weather was a bit cold and foggy. However, it is important to note that you have to pay an additional 4,000 ARS for a robe, and any beverages incur extra charges. Leaving the spa was another major issue. We were told by the company to meet the transport at 17:00. We confirmed this via text and waited accordingly, yet it is now 17:55 and we are still waiting. When we asked the transport company where they were and if we needed to meet elsewhere, their response was, “Didn’t they already tell you?” and “Go ask the front desk,” which we did. We are in Mendoza for a short time, and this disorganization has been a complete waste of time. While the spa itself is fantastic and I highly recommend visiting, I would strongly advise arranging transportation independently rather than relying on TangolGuardia. Their service is extremely disorganized and stressful.

Response from Host, Apr 2026

Dear Saule, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are truly sorry for the inconveniences you experienced during your tour. Regarding the pick-up, we would like to clarify that hotel pick-up in centrally located accommodations is normally included. However, on the day of your service (Saturday, March 7), the Vendimia Parade (Carrusel de la Vendimia) took place in Mendoza. Due to this major event, many downtown streets were closed, preventing vehicles from accessing certain hotel entrances, including yours. In coordination with the city traffic authorities, we arranged an alternative meeting point at Plaza Italia (Perú Street), which is approximately 200 meters from your hotel. We understand this change may have caused confusion and appreciate your understanding given these exceptional circumstances. As this is a regular (shared) tour, there are multiple passengers to be picked up. For this reason, passengers are asked to be ready starting at 08:45 AM, while the vehicle completes its scheduled route through different hotels. We sincerely apologize for the lack of clear communication regarding timing and vehicle identification, and we will take your comments into account to improve this process. Regarding the spa services, please note that bathrobes and beverages are not included. This information is specified in the booking details on the platform where the reservation was made. We also regret the misunderstanding with the spa staff and will certainly share your feedback with them as an opportunity for improvement, especially concerning communication in different languages. We truly appreciate your kind words about the spa, the staff, the food, and the beautiful views. Your feedback is very valuable to us and helps us continue improving our service. Kind regards, Tangol Tours

Misleading and poorly organized

Michelle_C, Jan 2026
Do NOT book if you expect a premium, organized, or English-friendly experience. This was a very disappointing Viator booking. The tour details were unclear from the start, and pickup was completely disorganized. I was given incorrect pickup information and waited over 30 minutes with zero communication or anyone to reach anyone. (It’s seems they just drive vans of people to the site, but there was no sign or indication the van is for this tour) No one speaks English. If you don’t speak Spanish, expect to figure out and manage logistics and timing on your own. Lunch was poorly handled and borderline unacceptable. Food was prepared and available around noon but we were not allowed to eat until 1:30 PM (seems those not on the tour got to eat first, which was 5% of people- time when I took the photo). It’s a buffet, and all the food was placed out at once and never refreshed, meaning we were eating food that had been sitting out for over a hour. Only the desserts were replenished. Food quality was mediocre at best. (Service was good thought; bring cash if you want to tip. Note: drinks are not included) The driver was a good driver. He was not a guide, provided no explanations, and offered no structure. For a tour at this price point, a guide is usually expected. The spa setting itself is nice, located in a beautiful natural area by the mountains and river. You have lots of pool options. However, the facilities are dated and there was active construction happening during the visit. This is absolutely not a premium experience and is not worth the price being charged. (Note: you also have to pay extra if you want a raggy robe-ie expect holes and stains. While it’s only $4000, would have expected something like this to be included) Overall, this tour is poorly organized, misleadingly marketed, and overpriced. I would not recommend it.

Skip this one

Veronica_D, Dec 2025
Skip this. The day is way too long and you will get trapped out there. WiFi is difficult, so prepare to unplug. If you are a spa junky, this experience is pretty sub par. The massage was terrible. The food was good. It is difficult to get around the resort as the infrastructure is poor. Be careful walking around, it’s easy to slide on the rocks and hurt yourself. If you have a nice pool at your hotel, I suggest skipping this. Also, the transport is slow and you are beholden to everyone else on the tour. There are many hotel stops so the excursion takes forever…

Overpriced and disorganised trip

Beth_M, Dec 2025
I would advise to book into the hotel spa yourself and then save a lot of money. We paid approximately $500 Australian dollars for two people and still had to organise our own transportation to the hotel spa. Then we had to queue not once but twice and pay for a ratty gown. We were told we would receive vip treatment/ experience but were treated like second class citizens. At lunch we had to wait and queue for a third time as we stood and watched the hotel guests eat their lunch. It was actually insulting. The thermal spa was great so just the trip yourself.

Spa was wonderful but transportation was awful

Rebecca_R, Nov 2025
The thermal springs were wonderful. However the transportation to the location was not so good. The bus was 45 minutes late and there were no updates from the tour operator. We were all wondering if they would come at all. My partner and I got the last two seats at the back of the bus which was hot and crowded. We should have booked this independently and just taken a taxi or uber.

Unfortunately the weather...

Phil_M, Nov 2025
Unfortunately the weather turned colder that day, but that did not distract from the beauty of our surroundings. I think it's better suited for couples. The lunch buffet was excellent. Limited English spoken.

Excellent picturesque...

Gwenan_J, Nov 2025
Excellent picturesque location, food was exceptional. Range of pools and baths, but must say the cold water one was a bit too much for me. The mud bath was a great experience, even though it felt a bit weird. Felt it was a bit too long a excursion, as a lot of the time was spent relaxing.

Cacheuta day spa.

Scott_M, Oct 2025
Great experience overall. The scenery is wonderful, the pools clean and refreshing, and lunch quite good. The staff was friendly and helpful even for native English speakers. The only potentially suboptimal comment is the length of the day. We arrived at 1000 and left at 1810. This would have been better as a 5-6 hour event leaving around 1500-1600, in our opinion.

Am amazing day!

Angela_W, Jun 2025
The hot springs were outstanding. There are various levels of heat, so you can play Cinderella and find the one that is just right for you. The lunch that was provided was so fantastic. The staff and everything. It was truly an amazing day. Would totally recommend

Spa Day with Mountain view

Michael_K, May 2025
Great views from the thermal pools! This experience includes lunch and an entire day of relaxation. The day was sunny and beautiful!

A day at Termas de Cachueta

Carmen_R, Mar 2025
It is an unique experience. The pools are so beautiful and the surrounding mountains makes the place unforgettable. The lunch provided is very good. Transportation was very good. The driver and the tour guide were very friendly.

30th Anniversary trip

jhabben2002, Mar 2025
Everything you needed was right there! The saunas were amazing, the pools with varying temps were great. Scenery was stunning!!!

An amazing tour, with an exquisite lunch, and great termal pools and mud bath

Pemiel_P, Mar 2025
After a few hiccups about out pick-up area, the tour was great. The facility was great, the termal pools were amazing, the lunch was plentiful and delicious, the staff was very accommodating and the place was kept immaculately clean. We loved the entire tour.

Great experience except for the bus!

Nadine_P, Jan 2025
The hot springs were amazing! It was so refreshing and relaxing. View was beautiful and the weather perfect even though the forecast had said rain. Only issue was the bus was not great. We had to stop twice to check the wheels and make sure it was safe to drive. We took our own transportation back because of that.

Unique location and experience

Jim_P, Jan 2025
Located at the base of the Andes, the spa pools terrace down to the river's edge. This is a truly unique experience The hotel facilities and lunch were also excellent. If we are fortunate enough to visit Mendoza again we would definitely revisit the hotel spa.

Amazing experience at the foothills of the Andes.

Beatriz_L, Dec 2024
The buffet lunch was amazing. The food was so good and the staff were amazing. We would have love to hear about the history of the place but our tour guide did not speak at all

Not the best

Yuliya_R, Dec 2024
It was way too long. It could have been 4 hours shorter. Noone spoke English. I understand we are in Spanish speaking country, but we were promised English speaking tour, and we did not get it. Overall very disappointing for such a beautiful area. We could have enjoyed it more. Also electricity went out without anyone telling us. Bring flip flops if you go

Response from Host, Apr 2025

Dear Yuliya, We sincerely regret that your experience did not meet your expectations and apologise for the inconvenience you mention. We would like to clarify that this tour does not include an escort guide, as it is a transfer service with entrance fee, in which logistical assistance is provided but no interpretation or tour narration in any language is offered. We are sorry if the pre-booking information was not clear enough and we understand the expectation of a tour in English. Regarding the duration of the tour, this is a full day tour that aims to provide a complete experience of the natural environment and the activities included. The interruption of the power supply is something that, although beyond our control, we deeply regret and will take steps to ensure that staff report more clearly in such situations. We are glad to hear that you recognise the beauty of the place, one of the main attractions of this tour, and we hope to have the opportunity to provide you with a better experience in the future. Best regards, Tangol Tours.

Great relaxing experience

Beth_M, Oct 2024
The facilities and staff were great. There was always someone who could help us in English. I highly recommend this tour for a relaxing day after a full day of wine tours.

Relaxing day at the hot springs

Jane_C, Jul 2024
Pleasant drive, beautiful views, excellent buffet and the right amount of time spent at the spa. Massages are also available, which was very nice.

Amazing

LaToya_W, Jan 2024
The hot springs were amazing a much do activity in Mendoza. The tour operator on the other hand needs work.. there was suppose to be an English translator but there was none. They were suppose to pick us up from the spa at 6pm.. they arrived at 6:20pm with no explanation ..

3 amigos go to the spa

Maria_S, Jan 2024
The facilities were beautiful. We enjoyed the mountain views and the flowing river. We wished however that the river was somehow accessible since the majority of the pools were warm/hot and the “cold” one was not really cold. We also wished we could have been able to book other services (we were limited to only a half an hour massage). We loved the lunch buffet! There were a lot of healthy options. Overall we would def go back to enjoy a day of relaxation.

Poor communication

Kate_W, Dec 2023
The spa was great but had very poor communication from the tour operator leading up to and the day of, including them providing the incorrect pickup location. I would suggest booking directly with the hotel to save yourself the communication issues.

Response from Host, Mar 2024

Dear Kate, We appreciate your comments about your experience at the Premium Spa Day at Termas de Cacheuta. We regret the inconvenience you experienced regarding the meeting point for the transfer. We would like to clarify that our pick-up service is designed for hotels located in the center of the city of Mendoza. Since your accommodation was outside this area, we assigned you a meeting point in the city for the transfer, which was informed when handling your reservation and mentioned again in the reconfirmation. We understand that this may have caused confusion and regret any inconvenience you experienced as a result. We will take steps to improve clarity in our communications and ensure a smoother experience for our customers in the future. We appreciate your feedback and look forward to the opportunity to serve you again with a more satisfying experience in the future. Best regards, Tangol Tours

Not PROFESSIONAL

Fernando_N, Dec 2023
Original pick up 830pm Real pick 906am No info on van for the whole hour After last pick up, driver went to gas station On the premises not ready for us No massage was available Buffet 6.5

Response from Host, Mar 2024

Dear Fernando, We sincerely regret to hear about your experience during your visit to the Premium Spa Day at Termas de Cacheuta. We understand your frustration and want to address your concerns in order to improve our services. Our goal is to provide relaxing and enjoyable experiences to all of our clients with this service, and we regret any inconvenience you experienced with the pick-up time and lack of van information. The pick-up time for this tour is estimated due to the fact that this is a regular transfer. This means that many passengers may be waiting as well as you, which can sometimes lead to slight delays in the pick-up time due to traffic and waiting for other passengers. This information is sent with the service reconfirmation. We are saddened to hear that you were unable to enjoy the massage services and that the buffet did not meet your expectations. We will take steps to address these issues and improve the overall experience with our spa colleagues. We value your feedback and will use it to improve the quality of our services and ensure a more satisfying experience for all of our guests. Best regards, Tangol Tours

Spa Heaven

Grant_P, Nov 2023
This is beautiful country! The river, the different spas, the ambience were terrific, and the staff was attentive and friendly. We had a nice buffet lunch also that was the best we had in Chile. Overall, just a perfect day in the Andes.

A nice experience and beautiful setting but I’d recommend booking with the spa directly and skipping using Tangol

Kimberley_M, Nov 2023
The spa setting is incredible - it’s so beautiful looking out on the canyons while you’re lounging around in a pool or a sun chair. The lunch was also very nice. We were able to get a 30 minute massage, which was great. Although I wish we could have booked for longer. I found Tangol (the company that organised getting us from Mendoza to the spa) unhelpful. We initially booked for a Saturday, and they messaged us asking if we could swap to another day, which meant trying to reorganise other trips. When I asked if there were other days we could go, they responded “maybe, but it books up quickly”. I also tried to contact them asking how we could pre-book a massage (I saw other reviews complaining they couldn’t get a massage) and they never responded. The bus back had no air conditioning and almost broke down. You can book a spa day directly with the spa, which I would recommend over using Tangol. You’d just need to get yourself to and from the spa (not a big deal, you could book a taxi to pick you up and Uber works in Mendoza).

Response from Host, Mar 2024

Hello, Thank you for sharing your thoughts. We are in touch with the Spa in Mendoza to see how can improve on the pick-up service. We are deeply sorry our customer service did not meet your expectations. Best regards

A tranquil way to enjoy your vacation

Christian_Y, Aug 2023
Wonderful, relaxing experience! Definitely signup for the massage when you arrive. Delicious buffet lunch!

Beautiful and relaxing

Heath_G, May 2023
The hot springs are wonderful. The setting is beautiful. Be prepared to relax and not be interrupted. There is not much to do outside the springs so it is probably worth scheduling a massage. And make sure you take advantage of the mud! The lunch is expansive and wonderful but you wont find any snacks outside of lunch so be sure to eat well.
