Our guide was exceptional in his knowledge and direction in finding koalas, the best views and walks. The overnight accommodations were beautiful. This was a lovely tour!

Wonderful experience, Walter, our guide is pretty good knowledgeable about all the excellent lookout points and the whole route is well planned, we are lucky to have good weather along our journey and Walter helped us actively to find the koalas and kangaroos. Overall it’s a great choice!

Thank you Walter for one of the most memorable trips we have been on. And we are Australian. For anyone considering this tour I would say - JUST DO IT. The slow pace of 2 days on the Great Ocean Road was amazing. We got to see so much more than anticipated from waterfalls to forests, views all along the coastline and of course the 12 Apostles - AND no crowds.

The perfect way to visit the Great Ocean Road. Our driver/guide Walter shared his very extensive knowledge of the route, the flora & fauna and local history while taking us to a great number viewpoints and other places of interest along the way. Well chosen lunch stops with opportunity to swim.

Walter was so patient with my excitement over the animals - we saw kangaroos (from a distance), koalas, parrots, even a glimpse of an echidna! You will see so much of the ocean road and really have time to linger in the beauty spots - I recommend it!

The Grotto was amazing and all along the coast beautiful scenery. We were very lucky to have good weather although at times it was extremely cold. Must visit when you are in Melbourne.

The itinerary for this tour is good but there are few need to be improved. 1) tour guide did not check name while picking up passenger. 2) Tour guide did not care about passenger comfortability despite informing him to switch on air-conditioner and change seat 3) tour guide providing inaccurate room rate of AUD 1804/night when asking for room upgrade to ensuite room. Tour operator should inform customer if room upgrading was unavailable in advance and not when I emailed as I have indicated it during booking. The coach is a bit squeezy for 11 people. I am Asian, small size already feel discomfort and if there was no window, good to switch on air-conditioner for comfortability. Perhaps, company should us bigger coach for 11 people or extra carriage behind the coach so that passenger can sit more comfortable.

Our guide, he is the best. He tried to find a koala on the tree and got 2 koalas on the tree. He has a big voice properly for tour group. He is very clear so we made our trip the best. I suggest staying at Apolo bay over night.

We are a group of 10 seniors on a small group tour on Oct31/Nov 1. We got the bus all by ourselves. Walter is our driver, who gave us good clear instructions. Beautiful scenery at each scheduled stop. Weather is cool and comfy for walking trails, just dress for it. There is hardly any tourists besides us. We stay overnight in Apollo Bay. There are decent restaurants for lunch and dinner. Only at a couple of stops where there are stairs and slopes to climb, we find a bit rush (but we made it ok). We made lots of good memories.

The trip was nice. Visited many beautiful places along Great Ocean Road. First time experience to stay a hostel. It would be better if we can have the option to book our own accommodation. The tour guide was a bit fierce though.

Small initiate group. Strangers became instant friends. Well appointed stops with just the right amount of time to see what was there. Great surprises along the way. Walter our guide was knowledgeable, timely, and communicates clearly. Needs to be moderately fit to get the most out of it. You need to days on the GOR to really appreciate it. If you don’t like a hostel accomodation, Walter will take you to a place of your choice. Highly recommend but very strenuous.

Walter did a great job leading the small group of 6 on the Great Ocean Tiad for 2 days. Well organized, hit all the high spots, have great advice and tips. Could not be better. Weather didn’t cooperate but that’s not his fault. He helped us have a great time.

Our waether can be a pain sometimes, we are know to have 4 season in a day. Always best to come prepared with multilayers of clothes.

This is an excellent, comprehensive tour of the Great Ocean Road. Our guide Walter was funny and informative and showed us all the main sights. The departure times mean you see everything before other tours arrive and the over night stay at Apollo Bay is a great break from all the sightseeing.

Excellent experience. Walter, owner of the “Around And About” tour, was our driver and guide, who did an excellent job of showing and explaining the wonderful sites along the way. We were glad we also had plenty of opportunities, at the many stops, to get out, take photos, and do some nice 20-30-minute walks at many of the stops. Sites included coastal scenery, waterfalls, seeing kangaroos and Koalas, beach areas, etc. The youth hostel in Apollo Bay was nice, clean, no problem to use the community bath down the hall. Dinner at the Great Ocean Road Brewhouse in Apollo Bay was a positively-memorable experience, including the beer and kangaroo steak. We appreciated Walter’s attentiveness. An entirely pleasant trip.

We did this tour during it’s busy season (Christmas). Walter was our guide and although he insisted upon starting earlier (we left St Paul’s at 5:45am when the stated departure was at 6:30) we understood why once on The GOR. The traffic was terrible and we seemed to be one step ahead everywhere - as we were leaving each stop, cars and buses would come piling in. This meant we had most stops to ourselves and had ample time at each stop. Walter was very kind and considerate and made our tour informative and fun. We highly recommend this tour. It could not have been better.

Very beautiful trip. I highly recommend it to everybody. In our case the first day was all sunny while the second was rainy. In both cases, however we enjoyed the days. Our guide was also very knowledgeable. The sceneries were out of this world and certainly not what we are used to see in our home country.

Wonderful! Much better being in a small group - not so much time wasting waiting for fellow passengers getting on and off which happens on a coach. Walter was great, very knowledgable and fun. Would definitely recommend.

Loved this tour - the scenery speaks for itself and the small group tour maximised the time and interaction with our driver. Couple of small criticisms: Would have appreciated a more substantial breakfast/morning tea on first morning - bikkies and an apple at around 8am didn't quite fit the bill after being collected from hotel at around 6am. No facilities for breakfast at 5am when staying in hotel so would have been more than happy to pay for own brekky at first stop. Accommodation at backpackers hotel in Apollo Bay was also low standard - paid for unit which was pretty grubby - perhaps other options could be offered. Despite these minor complaints - thoroughly enjoyed the tour and the GOR is as spectacular as everyone says it is.

Walter's a big gangster and caraboo. He knows all the spots, takes you early to avoid traffic from the rest of the group, the stops are time-measured as long as necessary. The stay was also very satisfying, the accommodation is in very good condition. The trip is definitely worth it, prefer it!
