We had a local by the name of Didac. He showed us so many things and places. He recommended restaurants for us. Bought us a very tasty pastry and saw so much around the beautiful city of Lyon.

It was a really great tour! Our tour guide was awesome!
A couple things that I believe are more of the fault of the operator company were they said breakfast was included (no breakfast happened) and that tickets for the Theather & Museum Guignol were included in the price however the tour was on a Monday and the Theater was closed. It would be great if the operator company reflected the tour price of what actually happens during the tour/what’s actually available.

Our tour of Vieux Lyon was more than we expected. Our guide, Dideck, was knowledgeable and very connected to the area. We explored secret passageways (traboules) that we would never have found on our own, as well as histories of the silk industry and the various Squares we walked through. We highly recommend.

This was an amazing tour. Our guide was extremely knowledgable and was able to very effectively cover the full history of Lyon in 2.5 hours. Included the well known sites including taking us up the funicular and through the puppet museum (after giving us the history of the importance). But it also included parts of the city we could never have found on our own such as hidden passages and a silk shop that showed the process for making silk (including live silk worms!) Highly recommend!

Didac was a perfect guide for this activity. He was knowledgeable and very caring about Lyon and presenting the whole history. He asked about what we wanted to do, and also asked about any limitations we had. It was a totally great introduction to the city.

This is a great tour- very informative and a nice way to learn about Lyon’s history. Very in-depth and we were able to ride the funicular to the top of the city for some great views and to see the Notre Dame Fourviere Basilica and St. Jean Baptiste Cathedral. Great overview of its Roman past and ruins as well, along with mid evil buildings and secret passages (traboules). Must do before shopping and exploring in Lyon!

Our guide personalized the tour and experiences to our interests, took us places we never would have gone on our own, and introduced us to shop owners, museum owners, and individuals in the silk business. We learned history, fun facts, and current events. Our guide even gave us suggestions for other things to do while in town. From now on every place we visit we will be booking a private tour. Didac is a great tour guide. He is friendly and attentive. His English is very good as well, which is important when taking a tour in a foreign country. My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our tour of Lyon despite the less than optimal weather, and this was all thanks to Didac. The beauty of the Basilique Notre-Dame de Fourvière certainly rivals that of other churches in France and even those in Italy! The tour does not consist of all churches though. We stopped at the whimsical museum of Guignol, the famous marionette. Just as Guignol embarks on his many adventures, you will enjoy your adventure through Lyon with Didac!

We had a great tour of the highlights of Vieux Lyon with Fantine. Met at St Jean, took the funicular up to Fourvière, enjoyed the view, the cathedral, and the Roman site, and then descended on a pleasant walk past flower gardens to explore the Traboules (passageways) in the old city. Great with kids, good history lessons, good sense of modern Lyon, and gave good tips on other sites to see and places to eat. Because it was Monday, some sites were closed (Roman museum and St Jean cathedral), which made this a shorter and more focused tour than it otherwise might have been, but it was still a good intro to the city over the course of about two hours. Highly recommended, especially for first time visitors!

We loved our tour! Didac was knowledgeable and kept the tour at the right pace. We saw more than we expected and he even got us a local pastry to share. He really connected well with us (my husband and our 25 year old daughter.) He took us to so many places and offered tons of recommendations for more things to do in Lyon. The traboules, Roman ruins, silk industry stops, cathedrals and puppet stops were great. There were lots of little stops along the way too. Highly recommend!!

For the price of a private tour we felt rushed and only got a portion of the tour. The guide seemed nice enough and we were ok with a slightly speedier tour but this was ridiculous for the full price we paid. There were suppose to be gondola tickets included which he handed us and told us we go on our own the next day, the problem was the tickets were not paid for as he gave us old tickets. Our tour got pushed forward because the guide double booked another tour this was not our responsibility for their poor management. Although we explained when we would get in and we agreed a bit earlier it even felt more rushed only because the tour guide had his other tour. If you can’t comfortably give us the full tour then do not give the tour. We didn’t receive a discount or anything but only got a portion of the tour and not working tickets. I do not recommend for a private tour we felt like we got taken advantage of for our time and our money.

Guide went to your hotel for pick-up cause you arrived with some delay and its true : tour was a little bit more rushy than usual but keepind our standards quality.
