Our Beaujolais Wine Tour has been the highlight of our European trip, which has included stays in Lucerne & Geneva Switzerland, Milan Italy, and Munich Germany. The 3 most distinguishing features of our tour were (in this order):
1. Our tour guide and owner, Petra, was intimately familiar with the Beaujolais region, it's unique history, and the factors that create the distinctive characteristics of the regions vineyards. In addition, Petra was a truly lovely individual who took pride in her business and satisfaction of her customers. She personally prepared many of the delicious dishes that we ate for lunch.
2. The vineyards and their owners, who cheerfully described their craft, as well as the unique characteristics of the land, their vines, and the process that they performed to produce a product that met their expectations. It was very obvious that they loved what they were doing.
3. The group of people, none of whom we initially knew, and their authentic interest in the region, history, and processes used in producing wine.
I can't emphasize how great of an experience and value that we derived from this unique tour.

Petra gave us a beautiful day in Beaujolais country! Her personal charm lifted this experience well beyond a "tour" and "tastng". Yes, we learned so much about Beaujolais wine and the region, and took in its physical beauty. But Petra's choice of small intimate vineyards, each with a fascinating host/owner, ushered us into the world of each vineyard- its history, its unique approaches and the challenges of living your passion for winemaking in this age. Lovely wines, lovely lunch, lovely company. A highlight!

The experience was fantastic! Our tour guide, Petra, operates independently and is not affiliated with any company, which made the tour feel more personal and tailored. Everything was well arranged by her — from the itinerary to the timing, she was punctual, organized, and gave excellent historical explanations throughout the day.
One of the highlights was the delicious homemade lunch she prepared, paired with great local wines. Between the good food, excellent wine, and stunning views, this tour was truly memorable. Highly recommended!

Petra’s Beaujolais tour was easily the highlight of my time in Lyon. She went above and beyond to ensure that everyone had a wonderful experience, and every detail was perfectly thought through. Each winery we visited was thoughtfully chosen by Petra, and we even got a small tour of the vineyard at one location. The smaller group size is perfect, as it meant we were able to get to know one another as well as chat with Petra and the winemakers and have the experience feel really personalised. Each component picnic lunch was carefully selected by Petra, who even prepared some of the meal herself. Overall, this is easily the best and most unique wine tour I’ve done.

We loved our wine tour! Petra was a great and knowledgeable guide who brought us to two very cool and different wineries. The French lunch provided was so good, well curated and had even more wine! Would highly recommend this tour and looking forward to coming back and doing it again.

Petra is a wonderful guide! I would highly recommend this tour to Beaujolais when in or near Lyon. Petra was all smiles from the moment she picked us up at our hotel. She was friendly and knowledgeable. Our first stop was at a picturesque hilltop near a small castle, where she served sparkling wine and pastries while educating us about Beaujolais wines and the region. She then took us to a centuries-old, stunning, family-run winery where we met the winemaker and tasted delicious wines. There Petra made us the most beautiful and tasty picnic, complete with tablecloth and real dishes and flatware. Our next stop was at a newer, organic winery, which was fun, and interesting to learn about. We ended our day wandering around the medieval village of Oingt. I would definitely take another tour with Petra, given the opportunity!

Petra hosted such a fantastic day! Her attention to detail was amazing and everything was perfect. The food was delicious and so was the wine. I especially enjoyed the small group atmosphere and the picnic had so many tasty french foods. It was also incredibly informative hearing from the smaller wine makers.

I had a great time on this tour! Petra was extremely kind and prepared a delicious picnic lunch for us with fresh and local fruits, cheeses, and meats. Really enjoyed the personal tour of the first winery and getting to hear the history and see the steps of the winemaking process. It’s a nice contrast to larger modern wineries that can feel more “corporate”. Also enjoyed learning about the natural wine process at the second winery and exploring the cute town with amazing views. We had a fun time getting to know everyone and figuring out which wines were our favorites. I definitely recommend this tour for a relaxing, enjoyable day getting to explore the Beaujolais region!

What a fantastic trip planned by Petra! We got to experience the most beautiful sights and had a wonderful time at an old world and new world winery. We learned so much about the history and winemaking from both perspectives, but the whole day felt exciting and fresh. Petras food was absolutely beautiful, and the whole day was filled with love and laughter from start to finish. It really did just feel like being on a trip with your friends, even though we were all strangers to begin with. The tour was incredible value - I can’t believe how much we got for our money. Absolutely recommend booking onto this tour ASAP, it completely exceeded my expectations and made my boyfriends birthday weekend so special. Thank you Petra ❤️

We booked a tour with Petra while visiting Lyon and looking for an all-day wine tour. What we found exceptional was that lunch was included in the price. Since it was winter, we couldn't help but ask how she imagined a picnic in the cold lol!
Of course, it was too chilly for an outdoor meal at that time of year, so she thoughtfully prepared a mix of cold and warm dishes and arranged for us to dine in a beautiful, rustic and heated space at one of the wineries. It was an incredible moment of relaxation-perfect for chatting, enjoying delicious wine, and savoring great food.
The wineries we visited were stunning, and the entire experience was unforgettable. Every detail of the day was perfectly planned.

We contacted Petra to see if she could arrange a wine tour outside her usual dates, and she was incredibly accommodating. Everything was perfectly organized form the beginning to end!
We explored the stunning Beaujolais region, visited charming wineries where we were warmly welcomed, and enjoyed a fantastic wine tastings. One of the highlights was the picnic-lunch prepared by Petra.

Petra was amazing! Her attention to details and thoughtfulness made the trip very special. She picked us up promptly at 10a and was very friendly. During our tour we passed a beautiful sunflower field and she stopped so we could take a picture. Her English is very good and she is very accommodating. I highly recommend her!

This was one of the best experiences I had in France. Initially, we hesitated to book because it was a new experience without any reviews, but we are so glad we did because it was fantastic. The experience with Petra was fantastic from start to finish. We had our friends from Canada for a week and were looking for a day of discovery around Lyon. We booked this experience and we were very lucky because it was just incredible. Petra is very caring and passionate about what she does, which is evident in every detail of the tour.
