The driver was very friendly but it was the situation at the airport that made us very uncomfortable.. A canine sniffed us inside and sniffed our luggage after it was loaded into the can. Afters we loaded the van and waited for 30 or 40 minutes. Then they unloaded our luggage AGAIN and the dog sniffed it. The dog sniffed all inside the van and found nothing. We were delayed for over an hour.

Sebastian was my driver to Tamarindo. He was easy-going and down to earth, funny, and we had some great conversations about the country and culture as well as recommendations for what I was looking to do.

Our flight was delayed due to weather, and we missed our connection to Liberia. We were rerouted to San Jose, and Sweet Costa Rica came to our rescue. Paul was at our hotel early and with a smile after having driven all night to pick us up. He had a cooler with drinks and snacks, and chatted with us during the lengthy ride. We appreciate sweet Costa Rica and we love Paul!

They forgot us. There were about 50 people with signs at the airport and ours wasn’t there. There were lots of men standing around offering to help. One guy said he’d help find our driver and was speaking to him on the phone but it was hard to tell if he was just trying to get us to go with him and pay him separately even though we’d pre paid $270. That same guy said he knew the company and was speaking to them on the phone and they apparently thought it was a “pick up” at the hotel, not the airport, and they were on their way. It became clear quickly that that was a lie. We ended up waiting probably 45 min and the same guy that was trying to help us tried to pull up with Hyundai Tucson to drive my family of 5 including car seats. We refused and ended up booking a van right on premise. I spoke with the main guy on the phone (the one who forgot us) and he said he would refund. He even offered to pay for our other van but we said no just cancel and that’s why I’m giving 2 stars vs 1. A very chaotic and stressful start to our trip.

The driver Paul was timely friendly and professional. He shared facts about Costa Rica and the surrounding country Nicaragua and Columbia . He shared info about the rain forest and the animals that inhabit as well as the environmental benefits. Excellent . I will request Paul for my return to the airport when I depart .

I used this site to book airport pickup I booked same day early morning before my flight to Costa Rica, but the site doesn’t send over information quickly so when I landed the shuttle company didn’t have any information for me and nobody was waiting to pick me up. The people at the airport were exceptional and helped me contact the company to come fetch me and bc of that I’m giving 4 stars. The site needs to insert time blocks in the future to help avoid situations like this. The issue was fixed so I would give this company another try

The driver was waiting for me upon exiting the airport, which was a relief as the flight was over an hour delayed. No issues when asked to stop at the Auto Mercanto to pick up a few groceries. Overall a good experience and I will book the service again.

The driver and his companion were friendly upon meeting but didn’t engage in any conversation or offer any information about our destination. As we were about to arrive in Tamarindo we were rear ended by another vehicle. Another car came for us and we were dropped off at the hotel without any discussion about a possible discount for the inconvenience. The car was old and not very clean. Overall, a less than pleasurable experience!
