Beautiful City - Great Tour!

A superb guide really brought this beautiful city to life. Really knowledgeable and interesting this tour is the perfect introduction - with plenty of time to explore at leisure afterwards. Lecce itself is just wonderful with plenty to see and do - and some fantastic restaurants, we had a brilliant dinner at one recommended by our guide which certainly did not disappoint. Highly recommended.

Lost in Lecce

Beautiful city but difficult tour. For starters we had driven a bit to get to Lecce and when we met at the tour office we were told we needed to pay an additional 7 euro each for the church fees. Not a problem but should have been included in the tour cost. Secondly we asked for a restroom, and were met with shrugs and told to walk down the street and just look for one. It was too early for most shops or restaurants to be open and we never found one. We had to wait until we were in a museum, which came an hour after the tour started to use the facilities. Lastly, and probably most importantly, our tour guide spoke very softly, and it was quite difficult to understand anything she said. There was a lot of noise around us and she made very little effort to speak up. We inquired about headphones, and were told that Viator only provides those to groups of 25 or more. Our group consisted of seven people. We left Lecce knowing as much as we did about it when we arrived.
