Great fun experience

We had a fab time. It was really windy so standing on the SUP was limited, but we really enjoyed paddle boarding in the bay. Snorkelling along the rocks was great as well - we saw lots of fish - more than we expected. Our host / instructor was great, and told us what fish to expect - showing us in book, before we went.

I made the booking with the great intentions of having some holiday fun with my partner but on arrival to the meeting point at flamingo beach we were disappointed to see nobody there . We gave it a further 15 minutes as we know sometimes people can be slightly delayed due to pick up options etc. We then rang Dive College Lanzarote on the number provided on the ticket , after several attempts to make contact we were then told that they never checked the bookings . The only reason I went with SUP and snorkeling experience was due to the vast amount of good reviews and ratings. Maybe these were self proclaimed reviews or written by friends of the operators. Not a very professional service in my humble opinion. If you do choose to go and book maybe ring them the day before to confirm even though it should be the other way around .

I really enjoyed my afternoon. Unfortunately, there was a mistake on the Viator website which allowed me to book my transfer from Puerto Calero. It was only on the day of the tour I found this wasn’t possible and had to get the public bus or €60 return taxi. This was disappointing. Upon arrival, I was picked up at the bus station and taken to the sheltered beach to meet Mara. She gave clear instructions and all equipment was ready. The weather was great for paddle boarding and we went along the coast a little distance. When we returned, we did the snorkelling part of the trip and Mara explained what fish we may see and what they looked like. My only criticism was that, with 5 of us, we were not kept together and I hadn’t noticed that the others had started to return to shore. On the whole, it was a very enjoyable day which ended with me running for the bus. If you can get your own way to Playa Blanca, I’d definitely recommend.

Easy to book, good value, lots of fun The experience is ran by the Dive Centre who have a base in the grounds of H10 Timanfaya Palace. I was not staying in Playa Blanca so met Mara on the Flamingo beach (this is very easy, it's a small bay and only one person laying out boards!). Was able to store my bag at the Timanfaya Palace, though it's fine to leave non-valuables on the beach. Mara was a great teacher, got us on the boards straight away & gave lots of space for you to go at your own pace, very glad I did lessons rather than just hiring equipment as knowing how to do it properly makes it much more enjoyable! Beautiful place & experience, could have stayed all day. Contact made by Mara via Whatsapp once booked on the Viator website which was also great to know everything was confirmed.
