Mariko did a fabulous job giving us the tour around! She was very polite and helpful. We had a lot of questions and she was very knowledgeable! She even sent us some suggestions on where to go and eat during the rest of our stay here in Kyoto! I would definitely recommend this tour and definitely ask for Mariko!!

This was the perfect start to the Kyoto leg of our trip, and Kate was such a fantastic guide! Our travel day was a bit longer than expected and we arrived with very tired and hungry kids. Kate was so patient and flexible in adjusting the itinerary to our needs and was great with the kids for the whole experience. We still got to see the sites that were most important to us and it gave us a great taste of Kyoto to start our time there. Would highly recommend!

We had an amazing tour with Ikki. He is very well informed about all the places we visited and is easy to talk to. He took over a 100 photos throughout the tour, and I was especially happy with how he was able to capture so many moments where it looks like we are the only ones there. At the end of the tour Ikki also provided us with a list of restaurant recommendations and we’ve already been to two! All around great tour at a good pace that felt like we were walking around Kyoto with an old friend or acquaintance.

Great way to see several shrines and the Gion district

Yui was super communicative and very warm and friendly! She took us all around the Gion district and nearby shrines. She explained to us how to navigate the shrines (the customs around entry, offering, and prayer) as well as the purpose each one served, and she gave us ample opportunities along the way to take photos or participate if we wanted to. She was very knowledgeable, and we learned a lot about the area and culture that we took with us on our future days in Kyoto. Overall, I really enjoyed this tour, and it felt thorough and well worth the time and money! Thanks again to Yui; she really was great! She even helped with some questions I had after-the-fact and recommended a good shopping area and some good restaurants.

Lots of walking and...

Lots of walking and stairs, but well worth it!! Tour was for 12, but there were only two of us, so we got personal attention. Our Tour guide Ikki was young and friendly, spoke excellent English, and was a Kyota native, so he was comfortable with where we were going. Because we went out at 5pm, we were treated to the sunset, making the last part of the tour very magical.

Ikki, our amazing local tour guide, communicated in advance and met us on time. No one else had signed up for the tour so we ended up with a private tour by default. Ikki had laminated chart with explanations and graphics. He is from Kyoto and knew so much about the history and culture. We moved very quickly from location to location, and he explained things along the way. The best part, he took photos of us at every location with his phone and AirDrop them at the end. It was fast paced and we saw a lot. He was very attentive and we would highly recommend him!

This was our favorite tour in Kyoto. Our local guide was very personable and full of interesting information that was delivered in a fun way. He was also very understanding when two older members of a different family with us on the tour had to take frequent breaks.
