If you’re looking to soak up the sun, the summer months (June-August) are perfect. Temperatures hover around 95°F (30°C) during the day, bringing everyone to the beaches around town. But if you want to avoid the crowds and enjoy a cooler climate, fall is also a nice time to explore the area—especially September and October when temperatures are still warm and rainfall is minimal.
Belek town center is very walkable, as the compact streets are brimming with restaurants and shops. However, you can also opt for a private taxi to get you around town, especially from the golf course to the beach and back. Another alternative is hopping on a bus or shared dolmus (minivan) which run from Belek to nearby towns and Antalya. It’s a quick and cost-effective way to explore the coast.
Don’t miss the Saturday market in Belek, when the streets turn into a Turkish bazaar selling souvenirs and street food. It’s held at the intersection of Atatürk Caddesi and Mehmet Akif Ersoy Caddesi, close to the central mosque. You can also find cuisine for every budget in Belek. Local kebab and doner restaurants are extremely popular, and there are more upscale beachfront restaurants and bars to enjoy at sundown.
