Itinerary
Your tour begins with pickup from your Koh Samui hotel in time for a 10.30am departure. After meeting your guide and small group of no more than 15 people, hop aboard a 4x4 Jeep and set out into the jungle.
The first stop of the day is the Namuang waterfall, a beauty spot tucked away in the heart of the rainforest, where you’ll have chance to swim in the natural pools or get your adrenaline fix on the manmade water slide.
Continue driving into the mountains, admiring the scenery as you pass lush plantations, wild forests, and mountain farms. Stop to enjoy lunch (included) at a mountaintop restaurant and take in the views as you tuck into delicious Thai-style cuisine.
After lunch, pay a visit to the Magic Buddha Garden, where the star attraction is a gigantic jungle Buddha — a popular spot to pose for photos. On the way back, enjoy a tour of a local rubber plantation and learn about the ancient ritual of rubbing tapping, used to collect the latex from the trees.
After an action-packed day, your tour ends with drop-off at your hotel around 4.30pm.

Really cool old army jeeps, better than landcruisers. Longer day than suggested which was good! Varied and massive fun. Lunch was the best on a trip so far.

We were picked up by a non-English speaker who did not introduce himself and made hotel staff walk us over to the vehicle. It wasn’t a jeep, the seats faced sideways and didn’t look at all like the picture on Viator.
The vehicle emissions quickly nauseated me. The seatbelts were only for show and didn’t work. We were brought to a free beach with rock formations where we were asked to meet in 15 min, then the guide ended up back at the vehicle. Then to a number of free temples. (None of this was on the itinerary.)
I could not get back in the vehicle bc of the emission fumes making me sick and having to sit in the hot sun with no cover driving. We ordered a cab out of visiting a free Chinese temple (not on the agenda). Mr. Ungs, Samui Safari, and another business name are all used for the same purpose, perhaps to confuse people?
I assumed a refund would be no problem since we only went to 3 free places and I couldn’t continue bc of the fumes. Nope, they are fighting me on it so I had to dispute the charge.
It was disappointing to waste a day on this with false advertising and in an unsafe vehicle. I would have been very sick and sunburnt by the end of the day if I stayed, and when hopping in the cab to leave, I realized the tour would have no AC for the entire 6 hours…in Thailand….in February.
Give me a refund, and I’ll happily remove this review, thank you.

Overall this was a great day out.
Pros: Staff were great, especially Jonny, the guide, who was funny. The lunch was v tasty with amazing view. A great way to see a lot of the island. The water fight was hilarious.
Cons: Lunch was a bit rushed. Biggest disappointment was the waterfall - it had no water, the pool looked grim, and the decking around it was downright dangerous (one woman's leg slipped through a missing slat). When dry, they should consider alternative stop.

Riding on top of the jeep was crazy! We loved swimming in the waterfall, hanging out in the jungle near the waterfall was super relaxing. We really loved the secret garden and the water fight was a blast!!

This trip was perfect do explore the Island without the hustle to drive the steep roads by myself. The crew made sure we had a great time and I felt always safe while on the road. The Waterfight was a lot of fun. Highly recomend this trip.

It was a good day overall , there was a lot of waiting at some of the stops though and our guide was trying to organise other groups at the same time so not perfect. The off road riding in the jeep was the best part.

Although our poor driver couldn’t find our last two Guest’s villa, which he eventually did which made us a tad late the day after that was perfectl! So much fun, lunch was great although our Chang beer ordered was a long neck so we could have shared one between two. Water pistol wars with the other jeeps were a scream and the four wheel driving was awesome! The mummified monk was unbelievable. Fantastic tour all up!

This tour was well organized and we all had a great time. Thrill ride on the 4WD through the mountains. The add ons like cut watermelon and rambutans during the stop for the zip line thrill was an added bonus. Johnny was fun to be with and loved loved the water fights.

Started with Hin Yai and Ta rocks and mummified monk which weren't on the itinerary but were welcome stops. Swam at the Namuang waterfall and had the option to ride the ziplines or waterslides for an extra fee. That was all fine, but the best was left to the afternoon, where we had a delicious lunch with a view, visited the magic garden and after a bum massage courtesy of the 4wd experience saw the big Buddha on the hilltop before heading home. Weren't forced to see captive animals which was great, and the best part was the waterfight with other 4wd groups, but with the gas guzzler vehicle and water bottles wasted for the water fight it wasn't as Eco as I had expected. Still 10/10, we had an amazing time and the drivers and leaders were all great, but Eco warriors might want to look elsewhere

I really enjoyed this tour. It was my last tour of my trip and a great way to end it. I specially enjoyed riding on top of the jeep! it was so much fun! Only three person were allowed at a time so everybody who wanted a turn rotated between stops. In my group it was three couples and three single travelers. I was a single traveler. So every stop me and the other single traveler (the third never wanted to ride on top) switched back and forth with one of the couples to make three riding on top. I loved it! It was so cool and other tours had elephants walking right beside you. Since it was my last tour some of the places I had already seen but I enclosed seeing them a second time as this meant I had actual time to enjoy the area, the view, and shop instead of trying to take so many people and rush things. The tour also went inwards on the island instead of staying by the coast and took us up way above the seal level and we got to experience a beautiful view of the island spread out below us. We also got to see the stone garden which was really unique. The tour was for English and German speakers and the food was really good when they served us. We have to pay for drinks but that was no big deal. It was a great tour, so happy I did it

When we booked the trip, I then rang the number given to arrange pick up time from our hotel, they answered straight Way and had very good English!
We were picked up on time! And all was good! It was a fun little day out, if you want a trip with a guide probably not for you, but we didn’t mind not having one, you meet all the other safari trucks at certain points and it’s really fun! Met some lovely people. The food at the mountain top is out of this world! That there was worth the money we paid!
Perfect for families, couples, friends and solos
The fumes from the truck, and the bumpy roads grow tiresome but nothing to do with the trips fault 🤷🏼♀️

This tour didn't get off to a good start as the pick up arrived for us almost an hour late. Once we got going, the first 2 or 3 stops were a little 'rushed' and we didn't really understand what/where we were visiting as the info from the guide wasn't very informative. After this though, the off road driving in the jeep was good fun and further visits were better in the afternoon. Lunch was really good.

The tour was pretty good and we basically went around the entire island. The only issues we had were: 1. we couldn't get in contact with the tour company the morning of the tour. We couldn't check into our hotel yet and were at a cafe down the street and wanted to call to tell them this. We were actually ready to give up and assumed that they weren't picking us up, but started walking towards our hotel about an hour after they said they would pick us up and randomly ran into the van that was picking us up. Lucky us. Just make sure that you verify the time and location they will pick you up. 2. The day is looooooong. There are a ton of stops during the day and you will get tired. Bring lots of water

Great trip! You got to see all the major sites on Koh
Samui and do some major off roading. The guides are nice, friendly and knowledgeable. The driver was professional and safe.

I really enjoyed this safari tour. Ok, it's a fairly familiar structure and the itinerary isn't very imaginitive genitalia shaped rocks, a shrine, pump aided waterfalls and pools, and the big Buddha statue, but the stops were interesting and different enough to engage. I think the danger element provided by the jeeps adds a huge amount of entertainment. Especially when some of the passengers were sitting on the rooves, whopping with laugher whenever a big bump was encountered. The view was stunning from the hill top restaurant where we ate a very satisfactory lunch and even a torrential downpour didn't sampen spirits, although it did mean we couldn't visit the banana plantations, with no alternative offered. No animals were harmed in the making of this tour, hence the Eco. In summary, a fun trip which was VFM

tom was fantastic. we laughed so much. the trek and sights were great. lunch was beautiful and the water fights with the other operators hit the spot. ride on the rooftop for amazing views and a scare or two. would highly recommend this one. there are others but this authentic and was the highlight of our time in koh samui. cant say enough.

This was a great tour! We had Tom as driver and he was crazy (in a good way)!!! We highly recommend this tour for people who don't want to spend money on elephant, monkey or other animal abuse tours. We've seen all the highlights and had a great day!
