We saw all the important sites & that was great. Unfortunately, our tour guide didn’t understand English nor could he speak it very well. This tour should not be advertised as having an English speaking guide.

We traveled on the Norwegian Sun cruise ship. We booked this tour with an English speaking guide and driver. The tour was very reasonably priced compared to the excursion offered through the cruise. The booking was easy and through the Viator app, I was able to send a message to the tour company to confirm our pick-up location at Nathon Pier. They provided very clear instructions with a map. We were met at the pier by our guide Nong (apologies for any incorrect spelling) who was holding a sign with our group name. His English was excellent. He and the driver were very courteous! We really appreciate the skill of our driver as he had to navigate through some interesting traffic and tight spaces. Nong asked us where we wanted to visit and helped us determine if all the stops were possible in the time frame we had. It's good to have an idea of the places you want to visit. Nong shared interesting facts about the places we visited and answered our questions. I highly recommend this tour and Nong as your guide. I did not catch the driver's name, but he did a great job too!

Absolutely fantastic! Driver was very helpful and nothing was too much trouble for him. Took us to some wonderful beaches and recommended a great Michelin rated restaurant for a memorable Thai lunch. Ko Samui is beautiful 10/10

We hired a private driver and tour guide for our trip to Koh Samui, Thailand. We arrived by cruise ship and had to use a tender. They met us at the pier to start our adventure. We had a mini van for the two of us. They provided water for us as well. Our tour guide, Hart, spoke wonderful English. He was so excited to show us around his island. We had four hours and he made sure we saw everything we wanted to see, plus more. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. He was so easy to talk to. He made sure he took our picture at every spot to capture the moment. He even took us to a beautiful beach with beachside restaurants. We visited two waterfalls, feed the koi fish, sampled local fruits and snacks, visited the mumified monk temple, and saw the famous grandfather and grandmother rock formations. He made sure to get us back on time to get the tender boat back to our ship. We highly recommend Hart as our tour guide along with his driver. It was a perfect day.

Our driver was Lun (I'm not sure if the spelling is correct.) and he made our time on the island extra fun. He was waiting for us on the dock after we tendered to shore from our ship. He drove us around the island and even had umbrellas available for when it started raining. He walked with us where necessary to get us to the best spots to see things. Our favorite thing that we did wasn't even on our agenda, it was something Lun suggested - The I Love Elephant Samui elephant sanctuary. We had a great time feeding and interacting with the elephants. Thanks for a great day experiencing your country, Lun!

Our driver , Lull,arrived punctually at our hotel on the 9th March and explained the tour schedule clearly.
Highlighted the route on the map.
Knowledgable with all the tour locations.
Very friendly and flexible in his approach.
He showed us hidden local gems we would never have found on our own.
Communication between us was excellent.
If you are new to the island we would highly recommend using this tour provider / Lull.

This was a six hour private tour with guide. We left the itinerary to the guide . Tour was finished in 5 hours and that included a lunch stop for 1 hour. I would suggest this should have been a 4 hour tour and have lunch after

The highlights of the trip were not close together. We spent as much time in the vehicle as we did at the sites. The tour guide picked a nice place for lunch. It was interesting to experience the traffic. The guide did not speak English well. He talked most of the time talking to the driver in their language.

Currently, it is high season in Koh Samui, so traffic can be quite heavy, which unfortunately makes travel times between locations longer than usual.

The tour guide operator didn’t speak English, the few words he speak are hard to listen. Basically only drive and almost got late to get back to the cruise.
Viator should not allow this type op people be tour guides.
We felt cheated!!

However, please allow us to clarify that the package you booked was for a driver-only without a tour guide. Our driver can communicate basic English and he is able to take the customers to their desired destinations.
Based on our review records, Mr. Eddy used to get a good ratings from our previous customers. So, if you require more information of the history, culture, and the food etc, we highly recommend booking the package with a guide for a better experience.

Upon checking your booking, we found that the package you reserved was for a private driver only, which does not include a professional guide service.
Regarding your feedback on communication, the driver assigned to you was Mr. Ae. He is generally well-regarded for his English and has consistently received positive feedback from our previous customers. We are surprised to hear about the language barrier, but we take your comments to him.
As for the air conditioning issue, we will inform him to check on it to ensure it doesn't happen again.

Another great tour with Roon! Having seen the north side on our previous trip, today we focused on the south loop. We saw Namuang Waterfall, the Mummified Monk, Guan Yu shrine, the gorgeous Terra Cotta-colored Wat Sila Ngu temple, and the Grandmother and Grandfather rocks. We finished with lunch (self-bought) at a lovely beachfront cafe, the Sabeinglae, before returning to the tender pier. A really fantastic half day tour!

The tour guide, Grace was nice but did not speak good English and very hard to understand.
We also told her about wanting to see elephants that were included in the tour we bought and took us to a very long ride for an elephant sanctuary and had to pay $35 (US dollar) per person for a 15 min visit to see 7 elephants, feed them and take pics. Very disappointing as we wasted a long time in the van going and back to/from the sanctuary when we could’ve avoided this altogether as our last stop had elephants and could have ridden them and fed them for a lot cheaper price and would have had more time visiting other highlights of Koh Samui. She would have had to know there were elephants on our last stop but because we
wasted so much time going to the sanctuary we didn’t get to enjoy the other places. Very rushed!
Also, the package said included lunch, and DID NOT get a single snack! We did get our bottle water though after letting her know that was supposed to be included.

However, we believe there may have been a misunderstanding regarding the package you purchased. This package is fully customized, allowing guests to choose their own destinations; however, entrance fees for specific activities and the places located on the mountain are not included in the base price as per mentioned clearly on the information provided.
On the day of your trip, our team explained to you regarding the elephant program. This package does not include elephant activities, and it was our understanding that this was resolved and clarified during our conversation that day before starting the program. As for the final stop at the waterfall, the activity provided there involves elephant riding rather than an Elephant Sanctuary experience. Since many of our guests prefer to avoid riding for conservation reasons, however if you informed us of your preference to ride on the elephant, we would have been more than happy to take you there.
Regarding lunch, our package details explicitly state that meals are not included. We encourage our valued guests to review the inclusions and exclusions in the booking details for further clarity.
Lastly, regarding our guide, we have taken your feedback seriously and will work with her to improve the language skills to provide better service in the future.

Dave provided an amazing half day tour of Koh Samui. We visited the major attractions and he offered history of the area and also took pictures of our family. Dave also provided a car seat for our toddler. Highly recommend booking with them!

We had a comfortable, air conditioned car with a driver and guide for 4 hours.
Before we started the tour we worked out where to go within the time we had allocated to the tour. Some of our ideas, some of his. Singha (guide) was very friendly and helped us enjoy our morning. We left each stop as soon as we were ready to go. This worked perfectly for us.

We spent a wonderful day seeing Koh Samui with our guide, Roon. We walked around Fisherman's Village, saw the Big Buddha & Chinese Lady Monk Temples, made a brief stop at Lad Koh Viewpoint, and had enough time to relax and enjoy a cold beer on beautiful Chaweng Beach. We had a great time, and look forward to coming back when our cruise ship returns in 2 weeks!

Singa (sp?) was a great guy!
The difficulty was that while we could often work through what he was attempting to tell us in English, he had no grasp of what we were responding with.
So he could speak English to an extent, he couldn’t hear it,
This isn’t a complaint, just an observation.
It is highlighted by his telling us all about his family and background, but never asking about ours,
