Overview

This adventure takes you deep into places that bus tours can’t access—such as up the mountain and into Koh Samui’s lush jungles. Travel in an ex-army 4WD vehicle and tick off a variety of impressive outdoor landmarks—such as the Grandfather and Grandmother Rocks, and the Secret Buddha Garden. We had a great day with Bob Marley, the name of the Jeep. The number of wonderful sites visited was just right. The day culminated in all out war. Everyone was given a water bottle spray gun, no one was dry by the end. Do take a towel & dry clothes should you want a more comfortable return trip. What a great day, thank you Bob for a great day!

This is NOT a jungle tour..

Rating one, as there is no zero. This is not a tour, merely transport around the island. The guide was not knowledgeable, only paraphrasing the signs in front of the temple. And although he kept insisting that it is a buddhist country, he clearly had no knowledge of buddhism and had never heard of Tuhkdam, a phenomenon known for tibbetan monks dying while meditating (cf. mummified monk visit). Moreover, during the jungle drive a "water battle" was organised. This was not part of the tour description. Unfortunately, once the majority of the group had agreed to it, there was no way to opt out of it ! Says a lot about the status of consent in our world... Also no rain jacket or any alternative was provided for those who wished to stay dry.. Well, if I had wanted to be drenched wet, I would have booked a snorkeling tour. I wanted to see the jungle, which is really hard to do when people constantly spray water in your face !! But obviously, it seemed most convenient to the so called "guide" who had NO word to say about the local jungle.. The food was however good.

Good trip out of the city

Lunch was the best! No idea what anything was but it was all good and plentiful. It is a good way to get out of the cities and see some of this amazing jungle. It wasn’t the day for me to be visiting all the temples but clearly others in the group enjoyed it. Not sure what about this tour qualifies as Eco. The 60’s era jeeps with noisy mufflers? Not by my standards.

Great day out but more information would have been good

This was a good trip and we stopped at several points of interest. I was hoping the guide without take us around some of the temples and Buddha's to explain more about what we were looking at but we were told very briefly and left to our own devices for a short amount of time before we moved on to the next stop. The food was amazing and overall we had a fun day out :)

Great fun tour of Koh Samui

Great fun way of seeing the main sights of Koh Samui in a day - bouncing along in ex-army jeeps is way more memorable than tripping around in an air conditioned minivan! We were very lucky with a fabulous weather, stunning views, a fun driver and great travelling companions. Best end to our Thailand travels that we could’ve hoped for

Les paysages étaient magnifiques. J'ai beaucoup aimé traverser la jungle sur la piste malgré les secousses. La nourriture au restaurant était à tomber! La bataille d'eau finale à mis une chouette ambiance!
