Overview
The 3rd largest barrier reef in the world is yours to explore just off the shores of Key Largo. Grab your swimsuit and sunscreen for a half-day snorkeling adventure. It is a pontoon boat you go out on. The crew was amazing really made sure all snorkelers and divers were well taken care of in terms of places to stop.

I would discourage this trip if you are a snorkeler. It was entirely geared towards divers and snorkelers were clearly there just to fill in the gaps and make some extra money. It was so extreme that they would not allow snorkelers to even sit in the shade of the boat. I was told to move and sit in the seats designated for snorkelers out in the sun even after i explained I needed shade for health reasons. We were also told we could not get off the boat until all the divers were in. I have been in a lot of boats before and have never been treated so poorly.
As far as the actual snorkeling, the first spot was pretty good the second was way too deep and clearly only suited for diving. Overall, this tour was a disappointment. It also left over an hour late which caused us to miss our evening activity. Poorly run shop.

I am so sorry you felt like we did not take as good care of you as possible. We do love our snorkelers as much as our divers. We love to share ocean experiences with both divers and snorkelers. I understand your concern for not sitting in the sun. It can be quite hot. Typically, I have noticed that the boat staff allow snorkelers to move out of the sun once the tanks are set up for the divers. They have such bulky equipment, we would not want you to get hurt in any way. I am very concerned that you thought the boat left over an hour late. Our captains tend to be very punctual. The reservation often says 8:00 or 12:30 on it. But this is the check-in time so that all divers and snorkelers are checked in and ready to leave at 8:30 and 1:00 as scheduled. I will be sure to review the departure times to see when we could have possibly left over an hour after our scheduled departure time. If there is anything else we can do for you, please feel free to reach out. We are always happy to review suggestions and client feedback.

Good tour. The divers kind of take over the boat so you dont really have space as a snorkeler. It was actually kind of annoying. You will appreciate being on another tour where there are just snorkelers. This is a boat for divers only. You have to tip each person separately which is weird. They are all a crew that work together but they all have thier own tip jars.

As we operate as a mixed dive and snorkel boat, our participation numbers for each activity vary from day to day, trip to trip. Some days, more snorkelers book than divers, or more divers than snorkelers; it just depends on the day. However, the mixed boat does allow families to participate in both activities while on the same trip.
As divers require more equipment (tanks, scuba gear, etc) for their specific activity, we do try to limit how much space each diver is allowed to take up, to leave space for others on the boat, no matter the activity (typically two tank spaces per person).
During our debriefing at the end of the trip, our mate does specify that the tip jar onboard is just for the crew (captain and mate), any divers diving with a guide or instructor are requested to provide tips to these other staff separately, as they are provided with additional assistance throughout the trip.

We had a wonderful time swimming and snorkelling in the coral reef - saw some beautiful marine life, even swam with a turtle! The staff were so wonderful and supportive! A very friendly bunch plus some great tunes played on the boat! We would definitely recommend this trip to others

This tour was exceptionally well-organized, with plenty of time dedicated to both snorkeling or diving. Each stop featured unique underwater scenery and an variety of marine life. The boat was spacious and not overcrowded, with ample shaded seating available for those needing a break from the sun. Snacks and water (as well as reef safe sunscreen, shampoo, and conditioner) were provided, which was a nice touch. The staff truly stood out—they were professional, attentive, and incredibly helpful with gear and getting in and out of the water. You can tell they really know what they’re doing. Highly recommend!

The boat was very full of scuba divers and gear but we had a great experience snorkeling. The water was very clear and the weather was perfect. They supply everything you need. When we first arrived on the property to meet the boat there aren’t and instructions where to go. But you check in at the main office just like if you were staying in one of their hotel rooms. This was supposed to be a half-day catamaran snorkeling trip, and technically, it was. The snorkeling gear was just what you'd expect from a rental—fine, but nothing great. If you have your own gear, I’d definitely recommend bringing it.
The staff was mostly friendly, but a couple of the crew members—especially the captain and the guy handling announcements—just didn’t seem very welcoming. As beginner snorkelers, we didn’t feel super acknowledged or encouraged, which was a letdown. Maybe they’re used to working with divers more than snorkelers, but still—it would’ve been nice to feel a little more included.
Now, for the good part: the snorkeling spots were beautiful. We saw tons of colorful fish—the kind you’d usually see in a saltwater tank. My son even spotted a couple of sharks, and we saw some turtles too.
I’ve had better snorkeling experiences overall, but my son had a blast, and that’s what made it worth it in the end.

Great job by Captain Kevin and Grace. It was an extremely choppy day at both snorkel locations, but the team kept us well informed and advised thru out the afternoon. It was my son’s first time snorkeling and they ensured he had a fun time despite the weather. We even got to see 5 sea turtles!

We really enjoyed this excursion. They did take us out somewhat far to snorkel and some of our boat participants were divers. The water was a little deep to dive down with a snorkel in parts but you could still see a good bit from the top. The only negative was that we left the dock 30 mins later than the excursion was supposed to start. Also, snacks were very limited so pack your own. My kids still enjoyed snorkeling this spot but a shallower spot would have been more ideal for them. I would still recommend this excursion!

Great crew who catered to both snorkelers and divers. We got to stop at 2 different spots on the reef, both were beautiful. Saw a sea turtle, black tip shark, and plenty of cool fish. Also got to see some dolphins on the way out.
The best part of this trip - my husband’s wedding ring slipped off in the water while he was taking off his fins and 2 of the dive instructors spent time looking for the ring, thanks to the captain for letting us hang back a few minutes so they could. They miraculously found the ring! Couldn’t be more grateful to them for that.

Great Snorkeling. - Beautiful
My only criticism is that the description lists the adventure as a half day snorkeling trip. We had more divers than snorkelers . The trip seemed to be more centered around taking care of their needs . The equipment also took up most of the seating on the boat. Had we known this, we may have chose a different option .

My most memorable experience of the trip was forgetting to take my jacket off with my wallet in the unzipped pocket. It is a miracle the wallet did not fall out along with my driver's license and thus my ticket home. It was encouraging to see a live coral reef, and amazing to view the Christus statue. The entire team was extremely attentive and helpful. Though we were the only snorkelers, it was informative to go with others who were scuba diving as well.

Got to snorkel with several green sea turtles and two hawksbill turtles. We also got to see a moray eel. Of course, this was particularly luck, but the captain took us to two great spots.
