Get out of the city and into the hills on this day hike in the Kathmandu valley, with transport provided to and from your accommodation in Kathmandu. The hike is not too easy, but no problem if you are fit. The views from the top of the hills are amazing and I could even see some peaks of the Himalayas. The guide was very friendly and we had a good time with interesting conversations. Definitly recommend, if you are looking for a one day trip in Kathmandu valley.

Cable car was closed due to damage. Shishir was great, he kept me informed and provided alternative options. I chose to do the Nargakot sunrise and day hike which was very enjoyable. Shishir is an excellent guide and provided an excellent service. Thankyou.

You need to be able to do lots of uneven stairs, both up and down, and wear comfortable shoes, bring water, and otherwise enjoy the trek! My guide, Shishir, was very kind, patient, encouraging, and a fun companion for the day!

Great escape from the hustle bustle of Kathmandu!

If you need a break from the hustle bustle of Kathmandu this is a great option! The hike is challenging as there is a lot of up- but the many, many stairs make it easier! I missed some of the views as it was cloudy, rainy and windy but that didn’t matter as my guide Shishir was a great and provided lots of information along the way. Be prepared for a great long walk and enjoy the tranquil forest outside Kathmandu!

Wonderful hike above Katmandu!

This was a wonderful experience! I needed a day of difficult hiking to keep in shape for a trip to Mt. Kailash and I got that in spades. June in Katmandu is quite hot and a bit hazy, bring lots of water and don't be surprised if you can't see Everest. The actual hike was 7 1/2 miles with lots of steps up and down through beautiful forest. My guide was kind, patient, funny and well versed in the history and cultural aspects of where we were. Highly recommended tour.

Best hike in Kathmandu area

Difficult but amazing hike. I never saw so many stairs in my life but when I thought on the effort, it took to build the stairs at high elevation, with heavy stones that were chiseled over 100 years ago, it didn’t seem seem so hard to pull my body up. Our guide, Shishir, was amazing. Shout out to him for his patience and experience.

A great day hike and temple visit

Soem our guide was excellent. He took us up the cable car to the Chandragiri temple. He explained in detail the history of the temple and a lot of the history of both the Hindu and Buddhist religions. The trek was more difficult than we expected but worthwhile doing if you are fit enough. There were a lot of hills (including a lot of steps) to negotiate and the trek would be best suited to a person with a moderate to high level of fitness. Soem ensured our safety by staying with us and not rushing us. I would also like to recommend our driver Sunil who was a good driver and was very courteous.

Beste Wanderung in Kathmandu

Sehr schöne aber anstrengende Wanderung in den Bergen von Kathmandu. Wir (Paar 60+), haben für ca. 16 km auf und ab über teilweise steile Wege und sehr viele Treppenstufen 4 1/2 Stunden, inkl. 30 Minuten Pause, gebraucht. Schöne Ausblicke auf die Berge und Kathmandu im Tal. Insgesamt etwas teuer.
