A Very Worthwhile Day

The whole trip was seamless and well worth doing. The driver Noordeen was very pleasant, always attentive and his English was very good. He followed us from the various events and was on hand when necessary. The guide was Manish who was excellent as he was local was very passionate and informative, we enjoyed our time together. I would really recommend this tour as it has varied experiences.

A Pushkar Trip To Remember

Our pick up was at 7.30am at the hotel and our driver for the day was Noordeen Khan. He is a very pleasant, soft spoken man who was fluent in English. This was an important criteria for us as neither of us were proficient in Hindi. He was also very attentive to our needs and made us feel safe. He was very knowledgeable and kept us entertained throughout our three hour long drive to Pushkar. We highly recommend him and will hire him again on our next visit. Noordeen arranged us, a guide, Rajesh who is a local tour guide Rajesh, who briefed us on the background of Pushkar, its spiritual significance and guided us into Brahma temple. We had the great fortune of standing in front of the garba griha to have direct darshan of Sri Brahma Dev and Gayathri Devi. Next, Rajesh took us to Pushkar Lake or also known as Brahma Sarovar. Along the way there were many shops selling various items. At the lake, we took Rajesh’s suggestion to engage another priest to perform Pitr Tarpan, a ritual for deceased ancestors. The fee paid for this service is done to the priest society which takes care of the welfare of the community, temple and the lake maintenance. Next as per the itinerary, we were meant to go for a camel ride but we were not keen on it. We had requested earlier during the journey to Pushkar for a stop at Varaha Temple as a substitute for a camel ride. Unfortunately we were informed that the temple is closed between 11am to 4pm. We left for Savitri Mata temple but here too we were too late. The ropeway ticket had closed for the afternoon. We were deeply disappointed as both these temples were important to us. In future, if we were to redo this trip from Jaipur, we would probably stay overnight. This way, we can manage Brahma temple and Sarovar before noon. Next day, visit Varaha temple and Savitri Devi temple.

We would like to gently clarify a few important points regarding your itinerary. On the day of your visit, it was raining in Pushkar, which unfortunately affected some temple schedules. Normally, both the Varaha Temple and Savitri Mata Temple remain open until 8:00 PM, and the Savitri Temple ropeway runs until sunset. On that particular day, however, there was an unusual early closure due to weather conditions and temple protocols. Our driver Noordeen did suggest waiting in Pushkar** so that you could visit these temples later in the day, once they reopened. However, we fully respected your decision when you chose to return to Jaipur instead. Generally, this tour is very much doable in one full day, including Brahma Temple, Sarovar, Varaha Temple, Savitri Mata Temple (via ropeway), and local markets or camel rides. For guests wanting a more relaxed pace or deeper spiritual experience, an overnight stay in Pushkar is also a beautiful option — just as you mentioned. We really enjoyed this day trip. Smooth pick-up and trip from our hotel in Jaipur to the holy city of Pushkar with a private driver. The guide met us inside of Pushkar and we went through all the main attractions of the holy place. The guide explain really well the meaning of the buildings, temples, culture, religion and some of the rituals. He also showed us local stores of the market for some nice souvenirs. We took the cable car to the temple up in the mountain and the camel ride to the desert. I recommend this tour to everyone

Fantastic trip! Rohit was an amazing guide and showed us a great time in Pushkar. We happened to visit during the fair and had so much fun seeing all the vendors! We booked the all inclusive tour and the camel ride, temple/lake, and lunch were all great. Highly recommend.

The worst tour experience

I have experience doing tours in different parts of the world, and it is the first time that I have had a bad experience, with a tour, I bought a package all included (guide, meals, driver, tickets and ride with a camel in the desert), I was never provided a guide, when we got to the first temple by myself (without guide) It closed after 5 minutes and I couldn't t see anything and I had to pay the tickets, There was also no camel ride in the desert. (they told us that it would take 1 hour to go to the desert, to get there with the camel, that's why they gave us a 10 minutes ride on the concrete street with the camel) That’s why I decided not to continue since it wasn't what I paid for. (walk in the desert, not on a street) I was not provided with food either because we did not continue with the tour, I lost my travel time and money in this experience. No one is responsible for the full refund of this bad experience, neither the supplier and the viator company either

Dear Tania, Your main concern was for Jeep Safari in Desert. The tour don't include the jeep safari. If a customer ask us for this in advance we may arrange it without charging. They customer keep blaming our driver and guide that the tour includes jeep safari. When we have ask them to show the proof... she have nothing to show. She keep start complaining the other services which went well. Our other past travellers had good time in the tour but we keep working on to improve more so that travellers had good and memorable time with us in the tour program.

We booked this trip from the UK and appreciated the smooth planning and option to cancel if necessary. The 3-hour journey from Jaipur to Pushkar began early with a very skilled driver. He refrained from using his horn unless absolutely necessary, attended to our needs, and only spoke when addressed. This was a blessing as we had participated in a magical but exhausting 3-day wedding and wanted to sleep on the journey! Once we arrived in Pushkar, our driver handed us over to a guide whose English was excellent. He showed us the sights of Jaipur, telling us when it was appropriate to take photos. He explained a great deal about Pushkar including the totally vegetarian culture, the beautiful artificial lake from which the town takes its name, the fact that it is the destination of the ultimate pilgrimage for Sikhs and Hindus due to its many temples and is home to the only temple dedicated to Lord Brahma in the whole world. We learned that it is a place that all should visit at least once in a lifetime to bathe in the water and attain salvation. Following the tour, our driver took us to an excellent restaurant for lunch after which, we chose a trip on a camel cart through the desert, as we had previously ridden on camel-back elsewhere. Our return journey to Jaipur was as smooth and uneventful as the outward one, despite the evening traffic and we felt that the trip was very good value for money.

Autista puntuale, van spazioso e pulito con bottigliette d’acqua per tutti e aria condizionata. Il tour è stato gestito da una guida molto preparata su Pushkar. Luogo spirituale che vale la pena vedere. Pranzo sul lago Pushkar ottimo adatto ad ogni esigenza.

Le voy a a dar 3 . La experiencia en pushkar es muy bonita . Pasamos el holi en pushkar en este tours la razón que valió la pena La pasamos bien . Que no me gusta de este tours . Te llevan al primer templo frente al lago . Te quitas los zapatos y luego te llevan donde un monje que te obligan a pagarle al monje. . Escucha bien te obligan a pagarle al monje dinero en dollares y que entre más dinero le de más bendiciones te van a dar . Te dicen que si no le pagas al monje no puedes entrar ala cuidad . 😏. Preguntamos y no es real . No caigan en eso . Dueño de este tours tomar carta en el asunto. No dañen lo mágico de pushkar.
